1. Migas Coffee

Website: https://www.migascoffee.com/
Address: 2590 Walnut St
Contact: (720) 227-5405
Hours:
- Tuesday – Friday: 8 AM – 2 PM
- Saturday – Sunday: 8 AM – 3 PM
Finding a welcoming third space can be just as crucial as the caffeine itself. Migas Coffee (founded by Marisol Jurado and Alexander Merriex) is a welcoming, sober-friendly space built on a “fill your cup” philosophy and community inclusivity.
Their standout menu focuses on specialty cultural beverages like the Matcha Mami. They use premium beans from local roasters to craft highly unique flavor profiles.
I visited during one of their weekend events and was immediately struck by the warm, collaborative energy inside. The environment really encourages human connection over quality espresso.
While the community atmosphere is fantastic, the small number of baristas might mean longer morning wait times.

The Yam Cold Foam was Like Thanksgiving in Your Mouth
This was my favorite coffee shop in Denver! Everyone was so nice and the drinks were delicious. My husband and I had a matcha and a latte off of their fall menu. So flavorful. The yam cold foam was like Thanksgiving in your mouth. Highly recommend!

Incredible Coffee
Incredible coffee. Incredible prices. Incredible people. What more could you want? I got a triple shot cappuccino for $4.23. I don’t think I’ve paid that little in YEARS. This was my first visit in and I was extremely pleased. We didn’t have to wait at all. Service was pretty fast. Most importantly, the coffee was DELICIOUS.

2. The Bardo Coffee House

Website: http://www.bardocoffee.com/
Address: 238 S Broadway
Contact: (303) 629-8331
Hours: Monday – Sunday: 6 AM – 12 AM
Late-night studiers and creative night owls often struggle to find a comfortable workspace after dark. The Bardo Coffee House solves this by maintaining extended operating hours until midnight, offering a rare sanctuary for evening productivity.
They serve their own proprietary small-batch roasted beans. This ensures a distinct and remarkably fresh flavor profile you cannot find at larger corporate chains.
Plus, the interior truly functions like a second living room. Vintage furniture and abundant power outlets make it incredibly easy to settle in for a long session of reading or typing.
Unfortunately, the internet access policy is surprisingly restrictive for a study-focused environment, requiring a purchase to receive a limited two-hour Wi-Fi code.

I Definitely Recommend This Awesome Coffee House!
I love The Bardo Coffee House, especially when they’re open late. The staff was awesome, PLENTY of seating, and great drinks and pastries they have. Their Nutella Brioche Bun so delicious, and the hot chocolate was nice and rich. The location is awesome and easy to locate. I definitely recommend this awesome coffee house!

It’s Perfect
Love coming here when I need to hunker down and get some work done. My only complaint is that sometimes it’s *too* busy to even find a seat but that’s what happens when you’re a great business! I usually get the matcha with oat milk. It’s a nice basic matcha without any added frills. It’s perfect.

3. Little Owl Coffee

Website: https://www.littleowlcoffee.com/
Address: 1555 Blake St
Contact: (720) 328-5574
Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 7 AM – 4 PM
- Saturday: 8 AM – 4 PM
- Sunday: 8 AM – 3 PM
Aesthetics and precision take center stage at this minimalist Lower Downtown destination. Founded by Seanna Forey Carrêlo, Little Owl Coffee operates on a high-design, tiny shop concept paired with exceptional Tokyo-inspired hospitality.
Every guest receives highly curated, detail-oriented service alongside single-origin pours that highlight complex, fruit-forward tasting notes. The architectural beauty of the space, complete with Calacatta marble walls, elevates the entire morning ritual.
Their seasonal mixology program is especially great. They use culinary-grade ingredients, featuring inventive options like a house-canned yam latte.
However, this intimate setting completely rejects the modern digital nomad culture. The lack of seating means you cannot comfortably bring a laptop here for remote work.

Completely Enjoyable
Tried a hidden coffee shop while in town for work. The barista was polite and service was quick. Grabbed a drip coffee (I’ll be back for a matcha later) and a cinnamon filled pop tart – it was great.
Shop was clean, minimalist and completely enjoyable

The Best Latte I had in Denver
The best latte I had in Denver. The first sip absolutely made my morning. No-frills, quality espresso. Also love the owl logo. Wish they had T-shirts available for purchase, but they had just ran out of them. I’ll definitely be back here the next time I’m in Denver for my coffee fix.

4. Crema Coffee House

Website: http://cremacoffeehouse.net/
Address: 2862 Larimer St
Hours: Monday – Sunday: 7 AM – 5 PM
Most cafes force you to choose between exceptional espresso and a genuinely satisfying breakfast. Crema Coffee House bridges that gap perfectly with a curated multi-roaster model alongside a full chef-driven kitchen.
You can sample beans from top-tier national brands while indulging in made-from-scratch dishes like their famous sweet potato waffles.
When I stopped by last month to grab a bite, the gritty-chic, artsy atmosphere immediately drew me in. House-made almond milk and custom syrups also elevate their classic lattes.
That said, their food is so highly sought after. Their signature breakfast burritos notoriously sell out well before noon.

Very Unique
The coffee shop was a popular place for locals at 8 am on a Sunday morning. The staff member behind the counter was super energetic and bubbly. The place has a modern warehouse kind of coffee shop feel. Their seasonal maple orange something syrup latte was very tasty. It reminded me of an orange espresso that I had in Taipei. Very unique.

Everything I had Here was Amazing!
Everything I had here was amazing! The buttered croissant was flaky, warm & delicious! They make the pastries fresh every morning so you can’t go wrong with any. I really enjoyed the dressing on the side salad and the meat quiche did not disappoint either. Highly recommend Crema for a good cup of coffee and bite to eat if you’re in RiNo!

5. Corvus Coffee Roasters

Website: http://www.corvuscoffee.com/
Address: 1740 S Broadway
Contact: (303) 715-1740
Hours: Monday – Sunday: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
True aficionados seeking the absolute pinnacle of bean sourcing should look no further than this South Broadway staple.
Corvus Coffee Roasters uses a rigorous direct trade program. They build decade-long relationships with farmers to secure rare microlots and exclusive Cup of Excellence varieties.
They ensure peak freshness by roasting strictly to order, meaning your morning cup features maximum flavor integrity. Their menu operates on a sophisticated tier system, allowing you to explore experimental processing methods like carbonic maceration.
Alongside the exceptional beverages, their sister bakery provides artisanal pastries milled from local heirloom grains.
But keep in mind that this strict dedication to coffee purity means the menu lacks sugary blended drinks. This might disappoint those who prefer heavy syrups over natural acidity.

Place is Beautiful
Place is beautiful. Perfect for an afternoon with a friend. The coffee though was awful, it was under extracted and super sour, so barista execution was not really good. Matcha was average.

Very Chill Atmosphere
Very chill atmosphere. Staff is always super friendly. Even gave me a coupon when I had to wait for them to grind a bag of beans that I purchased. I really like their croissants and regular coffee is choice. The 🥐 even can in this lovely little tote. Highly recommend.
