The 5 Best Masonry Contractors in Denver for Quality Brick, Stone & Concrete Work

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Mortar Matching Precision: We looked for contractors who specialize in color-blending mortar to match existing structures. A mismatched repair is an eyesore that can actually lower your property value and signal poor craftsmanship to future buyers.

Structural Expertise: We prioritized firms that address root causes like foundation settling or moisture intrusion rather than just covering up cracks. Masonry is as much about engineering as it is about aesthetics, especially with Denver's shifting soil.

Historic Preservation Skills: Many Denver neighborhoods feature unique 19th-century brickwork that requires specific lime-based mortars and hand-tooling. We vetted masons who understand the delicate nature of preserving "old-world" architecture without causing further damage.

Project Transparency: We evaluated companies based on the clarity of their quotes and their ability to stick to timelines. Given that masonry is highly weather-dependent, honest communication about delays is a must for a stress-free experience.

When the mortar between your home’s bricks begins to crumble, or a chimney starts to lean, the dry Colorado air isn’t doing you any favors. Denver’s intense freeze-thaw cycles are notorious for wreaking havoc on masonry, turning tiny hairline cracks into major structural headaches overnight.

That’s why finding a craftsman who understands how to handle 100-year-old Victorian brickwork or heavy mountain stone is essential for any homeowner. I’ve vetted these top masonry contractors in Denver to ensure your next project stands the test of time.

Denver Masonry Pros is our top pick for homeowners who prefer a restoration-first approach. Instead of quick patches, their team focuses on extending the life of brick and stone through precise tuckpointing and careful structural reinforcement.

They take the time to match the original facade so repairs blend naturally with the existing masonry. Beyond restoration work, their crews also build heavy stone retaining walls and detailed brick patios.

A local property manager told me they trust Denver Masonry Pros for chimney repairs because the team is skilled at stopping water infiltration and preventing freeze-thaw damage.

The main drawback is the cost for small jobs. They often require minimum project sizes, and their schedule can book out months ahead during the busy spring season.

Pros

  • Specialized restoration-first philosophy
  • Precision mortar color matching
  • Deep understanding of local climate
  • High-end commercial and residential gear

Cons

  • Selective about smaller project sizes
  • Long wait times during peak seasons
  • Weather-dependent project schedules

Overall, a smooth and stress-free experience

Denver Masonry Pros handled our chimney repair with great attention to detail. They identified issues others missed and fixed everything properly. The work was completed on schedule with no surprises. Overall, a smooth and stress-free experience.

Denver Masonry LLC is a strong choice if you want a contractor that can handle every part of a building’s exterior.

Their team handles everything from commercial foundations to detailed fireplace veneers, making them a reliable choice for both structural and decorative masonry work.

They also have a large crew and access to specialty materials like glass block and natural thin brick. Their chimney rebuilds stand out because they focus on meeting current fire safety codes and long-term durability.

I once stopped by a site where they were installing a natural stone facade, and their project management was noticeably organized.

The only drawback is scheduling. Since they take on many commercial projects, smaller residential jobs may need to wait a bit longer.

Pros

  • Complete lifecycle service
  • Expert chimney and fireplace rebuilds
  • Massive material selection and sourcing
  • Professional-grade project management

Cons

  • Residential jobs may face scheduling gaps
  • Higher overhead leads to premium pricing
  • Site operations can be loud and invasive

Pricing is very fair for the high-quality work

Denver Masonry has done some great work several times for us over 16-17 years. Super pleased with their knowledge, expertise and workmanship. Pricing is very fair for the high quality work they do. I would absolutely recommend hiring Eric and his team for your next masonry project.

Denver Masonry are top-notch experts

Eric and the team at Denver Masonry are top notch experts. We live in a 115 year old Victorian house and they have been instrumental in tuck-pointing the brick to ensure it lasts for another hundred more. The team has worked on multiple projects for us both inside and outside the house. If you need brick work, my husband and I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Restoring historic brick takes a careful touch and a deep understanding of older construction. That’s exactly where Brick Repair Denver shines.

The company focuses on precise masonry restoration for Denver’s 19th and early 20th-century homes, using detailed mortar matching and structural stabilization to preserve the original character of aging brickwork.

Their goal is simple. Repairs should blend in so well that you cannot tell where the original brick ends and the restoration begins.

Their team also looks beyond surface damage to identify the real cause of the problem. They often handle issues like lintel replacement and foundation-related cracking before completing cosmetic repairs.

I once saw their color matching on a Tudor-style home, and the repair was nearly impossible to spot.

The only limitation is their narrow focus. They specialize in preservation work rather than new construction projects, and their restoration expertise typically comes at a higher price point.

Pros

  • Surgical historical preservation
  • Elite custom mortar color matching
  • Expertise in steel lintel replacement
  • Thorough root-cause diagnostics

Cons

  • Not suitable for new hardscape builds
  • Premium pricing for specialized labor
  • Highly seasonal availability windows

Bruce and his team did an excellent job

Had brick repair done on the front of the house where we had a number of ledges that were pulling away from the house. Bruce and his team did an excellent job repairing and matching the mortar and brick. They also removed the old dryer vent and replaced the brick there. The price was very fair. Would definitely hire them again if we had brick issues. I’ve included a before and after for some of the work.

Bruce and Andy did a great job

Couldn’t recommend Brick Repair Denver enough!! Bruce and Andy did a great job with a complete demo/repair of a portion of a brick wall that had a crack clear through it. Bruce also was helpful recommending product to use for other portions of my house that needed some touch ups.

Castle Hill Masonry is known for complex natural stone projects that showcase traditional masonry techniques.

Their team is known for building impressive dry-stack boulder walls and full-bed natural stone veneers that are designed to handle the temperature swings common in the Colorado foothills.

What makes their work stand out is the attention to detail. The crew often hand dresses each stone so the final result looks natural and historically authentic.

This approach works especially well for projects like luxury outdoor kitchens, large retaining walls, or custom flagstone patios. Their structures are built on reinforced footings to reduce shifting and long-term damage.

The main tradeoff is cost and time, since premium materials and detailed craftsmanship place them at the higher end of the market.

Pros

  • Mountain-grade durability standards
  • Artisanal hand-dressed stone mastery
  • Luxury outdoor living suite integration
  • High-end aesthetic design consulting

Cons

  • Highest pricing tiers in the market
  • Longer project duration for custom cuts
  • Strict minimums on project scale

James did an exceptional job

James did an exceptional job fixing brick steps. He first had to undo work that was done incorrectly and clean up sloppy concrete that was placed. He communicated well, had fair pricing, and did an amazing job! Will call him for future needs! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Castle Hill Masonry did an incredible job

Castle Hill Masonry did an incredible job with my kitchen backsplash. James was meticulous, thoughtful and thorough, and his work is exquisite. He went above and beyond and took the time to ensure nothing was out of place. Definitely raises the bar on quality of work and I wouldn’t go with anyone else!

They are skilled masons who are reliable

I am so glad we hired George and his team to tuck-point our house. They are skilled masons who are reliable, do excellent work and are fairly priced. Our house and very tall chimney look good as new after the project. I would hire George again without hesitation!

They completed the work on time

I highly recommend George and his crew. They completed the work on time and on budget. They took care to minimize the dust and clean up each evening. Our tuckpointing project looks great and has revitalized our 100 year old brick home.
