We Sweated Buckets Finding the 5 Best Pilates Studios in Denver

pilates-studios-in-denver
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Instructional Quality: We looked for studios with fully certified instructors who prioritize form and safety over just working up a sweat.

Class Variety: We favored spots offering a mix of reformer, mat, and clinical Pilates to support rehab patients and challenge athletes alike.

Studio Atmosphere: We checked if the vibe was welcoming and inclusive or intimidating and cliquey because comfort is key to consistency.

Value for Money: We compared drop-in rates, membership perks, and intro offers to see where you get the most bang for your buck.

Class Size: We prioritized studios with smaller participant caps to ensure every student gets the personalized attention they need.

Location & Schedule: We considered how easy it is to book a spot and whether the studio’s availability can accommodate the typical busy 9-to-5 lifestyle.

Hiking trails and ski slopes might dominate the postcards, but locals take core strength just as seriously.

That’s why Pilates has exploded across the Mile High City, making the hunt for the best studios an adventure in itself!

Studios are everywhere, yet locating one that fits your specific needs requires a bit more digging. You want a place where instructors actually correct your form instead of just shouting from the front.

I’ve dug into the local scene to find the spots that offer true community and expert guidance. Get ready for that signature muscle shake we all love to hate!

How much does Pilates cost in Denver?

If you want to drop into a class in Denver, expect to spend between $28 and $39 for a single group reformer session.
It’s definitely an investment, but I’ve found that buying a package can drop that per-class rate significantly.
Sessions typically run from $89 to $120 an hour for one-on-one attention—perhaps to nurse an old knee injury or master the basics privately.
Most locals I know opt for monthly memberships, which usually sit in the $100 to $200 range.
Once you catch the bug, paying a flat rate for consistency just makes sense for your wallet and your waistline.

One of the biggest hurdles to starting Pilates is the intimidation factor, but PS: The Pilates Studio manages to strip that away completely!

They prioritize community and education. Instead of just walking you through movements, they teach you why you’re doing them.

Instructors hold national certifications such as PH7 Pilates, Barre, and other specialties, including Pilates for Scoliosis and Pre & Post-natal Pilates. This way, they can instantly modify a session for your skill level and needs.

I really appreciated the flexibility they offer with two locations, which is a lifesaver when you’re trying to squeeze a workout into a chaotic week.

The atmosphere is genuinely supportive, making it feel less like a rigid fitness boot camp and more like a group of friends working toward better health.

However, because they are so popular and community-focused, prime-time slots can book up incredibly fast, so you have to be on the ball with your scheduling.

Pros

  • Diverse class formats available
  • Certified, highly trained staff
  • Welcoming to all skill levels
  • Two convenient studio locations

Cons

  • Prime slots fill up quickly

The classes provide the perfect amount of challenge

I absolutely love this studio! The owner, Kim, and all the instructors are so nice and helpful. I’m always amazed that they remember my name even if I haven’t been to class in a while. The classes provide the perfect amount of challenge and they just fly by. They also offer outdoor Pilates in the park. Highly recommend!

  • Fri, 7 AM – 6 PM
  • Sat, 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Sun, 8 AM – 3 PM

Clients nursing nagging injuries or looking to refine their movement patterns often find their answer at Denver Pilates Movement.

They integrate physical therapy directly into their Pilates programming, backed by a team with over 70 years of combined experience. It bridges the gap between rehabilitation and standard fitness in a way few other studios do.

I spoke with a regular client in the lobby who mentioned that the rehab-focused program here was the only thing that finally fixed her lower back pain. It’s clear they take a clinical, safety-first approach.

The studio is woman-owned and feels very personal, not corporate.

The only downside to this high level of specialized expertise is the price. Their services, especially the therapy-integrated ones, can sit at a higher price point than a standard gym Pilates class.

Pros

  • 70+ years combined instructor experience
  • Integrated physical therapy support
  • Ideal for injury recovery
  • Woman-owned and community-focused

Cons

  • Higher price point than average

This is the best studio I’ve been to!

Dana and her team are true experts in the field! They have a wonderful way of explaining breath and movement that leads to focus and connection of mind and body during class, and results in mental and physical benefits that carry well beyond. This is the best studio I’ve been to!

3. Pilates Collective

pilates-collective

Website: https://www.pilatescollectivedenver.com/

Address: 2765 S Colorado Blvd

Contact: 720 575 3478 / [email protected]

Availability:

  • Mon, 6 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Tue, 6 AM – 7 PM
  • Wed & Thu, 6 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Fri, 6 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Sat, 8 AM – 1 PM
  • Sun, 8 AM – 12 PM

Pilates Collective focuses on “sustainable fitness,” rejecting the “no pain, no gain” mentality in favor of long-term functional health.

Their diverse team includes backgrounds in dance and rehabilitation. This allows them to offer specialty sessions for conditions like MS or chronic pain.

It’s a refreshing change of pace for anyone burnt out by high-intensity interval training culture.

The small class sizes—capped at six clients—mean you essentially get semi-private training for the price of a group class.

This ensures you are never just a number in the room. The instructor is always watching your alignment.

They are also great for newcomers, offering virtual classes if you are shy about starting in-studio.

However, this attention to detail comes with a trade-off. Because the classes are so small, the price per session is naturally higher than what you would find at a larger franchise studio.

Pros

  • Specialized classes for chronic conditions
  • Max of six clients per class
  • Diverse instructor backgrounds
  • Focus on long-term sustainability

Cons

  • Higher cost due to small size

I see real results

Tara’s Pilates classes are the highlights of my week! She brings an enthusiasm that can’t be beat and she pays attention to the needs of all participants. I see real results without having to worry about injury. The best part is, after her class I always feel rejuvenated and all of the Pilates work compliments my other workouts and activities, driving me to be the best me I can be. Tara is the best!

-Mindy Carrothers | Google Review

I lost about 15 pounds in 5 weeks.

My personal trainer, Tara gave me a program that I diligently followed and I lost about 15 pounds in 5 weeks. She gives great advice on diet, workouts and post workout stretching. Anyone out there looking to loose weight and get fit, all you have to do is follow what Tara says and commit to her plan – The results will follow.

Address: 720 S. Colorado Blvd, Suite 125-A

Availability:

  • Mon & Tue, 9 AM – 6 PM
  • Wed, 10 AM – 7 PM
  • Thu, 9 AM – 7 PM
  • Fri, 9 AM – 3:30 PM

If large studios feel impersonal or overwhelming, Denver Pilates Girl offers a quieter boutique alternative.

Lisa, the owner and primary instructor, uses a strictly classical approach to Pilates. She emphasizes the original biomechanics and mind-body connection intended by Joseph Pilates.

This isn’t a watered-down fitness version. It’s the real deal, tailored specifically to your body’s needs.

When I visited for a session, I was struck by how quickly Lisa identified my posture issues. It felt like she knew my history before I even filled out the waiver.

The studio is intimate and supportive, fostering a holistic wellness vibe that extends beyond just the hour you spend on the reformer.

The limitation here is inherent to its boutique nature. With a smaller operation and fewer instructors, the schedule is tighter, and finding an open slot that perfectly matches your calendar can sometimes be a challenge.

Pros

  • Highly personalized instruction
  • Authentic classical Pilates focus
  • Intimate, boutique studio setting
  • Holistic wellness approach

Cons

  • Limited class scheduling options
  • Fewer instructors than big studios
  • Classes may book out faster

Customer Reviews:

5. Axis Pilates

axis-pilates

Website: https://axispilates.com/

Address: 1138 E. 6th Ave

Contact: 303 322 4567

Availability:

  • Mon & Wed, 6 AM – 7 PM
  • Tue & Thu, 6 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Fri, 6 AM – 2 PM
  • Sat, 7 AM – 2 PM
  • Sun, 9 AM – 12 PM

Axis Pilates brings a comprehensive, classical methodology to the Denver scene. Rehab patients build stability here, while elite athletes refine their performance.

Their versatile programming offers high-quality small-group instruction while maintaining the rigor of private athletic training.

It’s a place where precision meets performance. The studio is equipped with top-tier apparatus such as the Pilates Tower and Reformer, and the instructors are disciplined about the classical method.

This ensures you get a safe and incredibly effective workout. This approach suits students who want a serious, no-nonsense path to building core strength.

However, this premium quality is reflected in their pricing structure.

It’s definitely on the higher end of the spectrum, which might make it less accessible for students or those looking for a budget-friendly daily workout option.

Pros

  • Comprehensive classical methodology
  • Versatile class options for all levels
  • High-quality equipment and apparatus
  • Small group sizes for focus

Cons

  • Premium pricing structure
  • The studio can get busy at peak times

Customer Reviews:

The instructors are all outstanding

I’ve been a member at Axis Pilates since the beginning. The instructors are all outstanding. The owner, Heather, runs a tight ship. Taking fitness classes in the time of COVID is weird, and I don’t like remote classes as much as in-studio classes. But until the pandemic dies down more, I’m going to continue working out at home.

-Todd Bradley | Google Review

She is definitely a master trainer!

I came to Vita Movement a year ago to expand my knowledge and skills in Pilates. Patricia, the owner, has been wonderful. She is definitely a master trainer! The studio has a neighborhood feel and everyone who works there is friendly and welcoming. Even the clients make the place feel like a home away from home. I enjoy the variety of classes and always get a great workout!
