We have visited The Cake Bar several times to enjoy their cake in a cup, and it has always been delicious. However, this review is specifically about the custom cake we ordered. The order form was straightforward and easy to complete. We requested a simple mini chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream for my mother-in-law’s birthday. Popped up on Saturday afternoon looking for chocolate desserts. Ended up with 4 different tastes including chocolate mousse cakes. Searched for carrot cake, Wooden Spoon came up as highly recommended and it was absolutely delicious. Carrot cake isn’t usually my favorite cake, but this was a great cake – a great balance of sweet, spice, and the right cream cheese icing. No raisins, obviously that would be a travesty. Easy to call and place an order a few days in advance. They even inscribed it for me (candles were separate). I was temped by all of their other delicious pastries so I would be back to try them!
