Website: milehighstation.com
Address: 2027 West Colfax Ave
Contact: 720.946.7721 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00AM–4:00PM

Stepping into Mile High Station immediately reveals its authentic, restored industrial architecture, which pays homage to the city’s rich past. Stepping inside, you’ll immediately enjoy viewing the original exposed brick and elevated mezzanine.

What we love most about this property is it guarantees complete privacy by hosting only one gathering at a time.

Organizers frequently appreciate the venue’s high capacity, as it comfortably accommodates massive crowds while maintaining an intimate atmosphere for smaller groups.

I recently attended a corporate mixer here and noticed how the magnificent custom-made chandeliers added a smart, contemporary flair to the raw aesthetic.

The space is undeniably beautiful and versatile, but clients face notable limitations regarding food service since they must select from a restricted list of approved catering companies.

You’ll also need to secure additional setup time as an optional add-on, as early access is not automatically guaranteed.

Pros

  • Complimentary parking for over 100 vehicles
  • Included tables and chairs
  • Adaptable interior layout
  • Large on-site prep kitchen

Cons

  • Restricted to approved catering vendors
  • Setup time requires optional add-on

Customer Reviews

Amazing space for events. Great space with enough room to spread out and have multiple separate parts of an event happening. Catering staff was fantastic food was good. Loved the styling of the building showing it’s industrial bones.

I have attended many different events at Mile High Station. Most recently the Denver Kids event. The space is large, open and unique. Love the history and the exposed brick. The upper loft is my favorite place to people watch. Such a great venue!

Address: 95 South Cherokee Street
Contact: 303.993.3321 | [email protected]
Hours: By Appointment

Planners seeking a deeply authentic vibe will appreciate how Space Annex embraces its original structural character to offer a highly memorable aesthetic.

The facility functions as an intimate art backdrop, providing a culturally rich environment that elevates any private function. There are even excellent outdoor features that allow guests to transition smoothly between interior rooms and exterior patios.

Organizers hosting fundraisers for local preschools often find this artistic atmosphere highly engaging and welcoming.

Since this property is exclusive, it ensures complete privacy, so you’re sure you won’t have to deal with concurrent parties.

However, note that there’s a strict patio curfew, which forces late-night celebrations to move entirely indoors well before the rental period ends.

Pros

  • Bundled essential seating
  • Dedicated food prep workspace
  • Private room for core event members
  • Professional-grade audiovisual (AV) equipment

Cons

  • Limited payment network support
  • Strict late-night patio curfew

Customer Reviews

We had our wedding here and it was exactly what we were looking for: simple outdoor space for the ceremony, a killer rooftop for evening reception cocktails, and a large indoor space for dinner and dancing. The art is always awesome and kept the vibe of the event more like a great party (which is what we were going for). In addition, the staff are super nice and great to work with. If we ever have to host a big event again, this is the first place we’d look to in town.

The Annex is a beautiful, new event center that also provides additional exhibit facilities for Space Gallery (which is ten blocks away at 4th and Santa Fe). Michael Burnett took a very tired, 1960s cinder block warehouse, cleaned up the interior (exposing a beautiful fir ceiling), built a new, salvaged brick facade, and turned it into an elegant new space. There’s a little lobby with a ninety degree turn so drafts don’t blow in, a large central, multipurpose room, an expansive restroom area, a bar and outdoor patio (secluded between two buildings), and a rooftop deck.

3. Sterling Event Space

Address: 1261 Delaware St.
Contact: 720.201.1804 | Contact via Website Form
Hours: Tuesday to Saturday 12:00PM–4:00PM

Visually striking aesthetics define Sterling Event Space, a property that balances raw architectural elements with modern elegance to create a memorable atmosphere.

This prime location sits in an artistically significant neighborhood, giving local and out-of-town guests a highly desirable central destination.

The space fits both detailed gatherings and massive corporate affairs. Moreover, you’ll have total freedom in decorating the expansive interior.

I spoke directly with a colleague who hosted an awards banquet here, and they praised how the integrated fine art acted as built-in decor and an excellent icebreaker.

While the curated environment is stunning, the lack of parking is a big disappointment. Guests are unfortunately forced to hunt for vehicle spots in the surrounding neighborhood before arriving at the front door.

Pros

  • Convenient highway transit access
  • Supplied sound and visual gear
  • Comprehensive caterer prep facility
  • Access to specialized staff guidance

Cons

  • No dedicated on-site parking lot
  • Shared overall property footprint

Customer Reviews

We use this space on a monthly basis for group dinners and community gatherings. Elizabeth does a fantastic job of making sure everything is either set up or accessible for the event we are hosting. The space is always in spotless condition and very easy to decorate/prepare for whatever type of gathering we are going for and she is amazing to work with!

We had an evening party here for my daughter this summer, and it was amazing. The space is gorgeous. Elizabeth truly went above and beyond to make everything perfect and so easy for me. I am very grateful to her! Would highly recommend this space for any special event.

4. SKYLIGHT

Website: skylight.828venues.com
Address: 833 Santa Fe Dr
Contact: (720) 593-2919 | [email protected]
Hours: Available 24/7

Offering truly versatile interiors, SKYLIGHT provides a foundational aesthetic with modern amenities that acts as the perfect backdrop for any specific theme.

As it’s situated in a prominent arts district, you can expect vibrant environment filled with creative energy.

We also appreciate the extended rental window, as this full-day reservation drastically reduces logistical stress during setup and teardown.

The facility also grants clients the freedom to bring in preferred vendors, such as specialized caterers or top-tier cake shops.

Despite the undeniable flexibility, the base reservation fee leaves many popular features out of the initial package. Organizers must make an additional financial investment to secure premium services and extra planning support.

Pros

  • Essential furniture included in base package
  • Complimentary street parking nearby
  • Scalable spatial design
  • Distinct indoor and outdoor zones

Cons

  • Dedicated parking lot requires a walk
  • Premium features demand extra investment

Customer Reviews

We chose Skylight for our wedding venue and could not have been happier with how everything turned out. The open space was the perfect blank canvas to bring our wedding vision to life and the staff and preferred vendors were so amazing to work with. Sophie in particular was our coordinator and such a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend booking Skylight for your upcoming event!

As an event planner I work with venues and vendors across the state. I cannot recommend this venue enough. They were accommodating to my clients (even on some tricky last-minute requests). They supported set up in a pinch and did so with grace and kindness. I want to shout out Kate & Honor specifically. They were friendly, professional, client-centered, and made working in their space a joy. If you’re looking for a unique space with an amazing team, SKYLIGHT is your spot. Thanks again, Honor & Kate!

5. The Savoy Denver

the-savoy-denver-logo

Website: savoydenver.com
Address: 2700 Arapahoe St
Contact: 303.476.5902 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Sunday 9:00AM–10:00PM

Serving as a prominent community hub, The Savoy Denver delivers exceptional architectural beauty through its classic, meticulously maintained Victorian ballroom.

This historic building stands proudly at the intersection of several significant neighborhoods. Here, you can expect an authentic, turn-of-the-century environment for milestone gatherings.

It’s also worth noting that the rental fees directly fund ongoing theatrical programs in Colorado, which is perfect if you want to support the local creative economy.

However, securing a date can be highly competitive because the management strictly caps the number of major matrimonial events they host annually.

Furthermore, planners must account for a rigid, non-negotiable surcharge that is automatically applied to all reservations regardless of the occasion type.

Pros

  • Adaptable supplementary studio space
  • Built-in technical performance amenities
  • Vehicle revenue supports local education
  • Exclusive use of social areas

Cons

  • Highly limited annual slots for weddings
  • Non-negotiable percentage fee surcharge

Customer Reviews

Pretty cool spot! I’ve been meaning to check this place out for a while. It’s cute and has a very fun atmosphere. We went to the Moonlight Elves event which was for all ages. If you’re a fan of the aerial arts, this show is a great one! I will definitely be checking more out from here!

Friends invited us to Savoy Denver, located in the venerable Curtis Park neighborhood of Denver. The boutique theater, a veritable gift from the Frank family, hosted the play Brooklyn Laundry starring Annie Barbour. Witty, sad, and joyful. Strong performances. Inimitable setting. Bar with nibbles on the side. Welcoming staff. Ample parking along Arapahoe and elsewhere. A must see for those who love the arts.
