1. The Wolf Den Custom Tattoo Studio

Website: https://www.thewolfdentattoo.com/
Address: 6640 E Colfax Ave.
Contacts: +1 (720) 917-9406
Hours: By appointment
The Wolf Den Custom Tattoo Studio blends an elite tattoo studio with a high-end art gallery. What’s unique is that the studio’s atmosphere feels more like a boutique spa than a noisy tattoo shop, with houseplants and calming music setting the mood.
People love this spot for its inclusive, queer-owned, and eco-friendly vibe. This is especially important for folks in the queer and non-binary communities who might not always feel welcome in more “macho” shops.
Plus, everything here is vegan, from the inks to the biodegradable supplies. They focus on custom body art that’s all about your personal story, rather than just pumping out generic designs.
However, they’re super popular, so you’ll want to get on their waitlist early.

They are so incredibly talented
I don’t think I’ll ever go anywhere that isn’t The Wolf Den for my tattoos! I’ve now been a few times and worked with both Meg and Kelsey for custom pieces, and I cannot overstate how wonderful the experiences have been. They are so incredibly talented, the environment is unmatched, and the vibes in the studio alone make it my favorite place for tattoos. Their books fill up, but they are 10000% worth the wait!!

Ryane was patient and kind throughout my appointment
Everything about The Wolf Den is warm and welcoming: the space, the artists, and the fellow customers. Ryane was patient and kind throughout my appointment. You can tell they cultivate a healthy environment in their studio that others respond to in kind. I was looking for a warm studio to return to in the future and definitely found it here. Loved my experience! –

2. Bound By Design

Website: https://boundbydesign.com/
Address: 1332 E Colfax Ave.
Contacts: +1 (303) 832-8282
Hours: Mon–Sun: 11 AM–9 PM
Bound By Design has been a creative hotspot in Denver since 1993, located in a historic landmark building.
Inside, there’s a huge team of award-winning artists who can handle almost any tattoo style you can think of, from American Traditional to complex bio-organic designs.
They’re also a piercing studio and offer high-quality body jewelry, with plenty of gold and titanium pieces to choose from.
The shop is open every day, so you’ve got plenty of options when it comes to scheduling your appointment. Regulars we talked to love that they can often walk in for smaller, spontaneous tattoos without much wait.
Just keep in mind that, because it’s such a popular spot, it can get pretty loud and crowded during busy times. Also, finding street parking on Colfax can be tough, so give yourself some extra time to get there.

Such a great group of people, beautiful, high class facility – great pricing and amazingly talented artists. Harry did an amazing job with my Official Ferrari Badging. My awesome puppy “Velocity Raines” highly recommends this place.

3. Endless Ink Tattoo & Piercing

Website: https://www.endlessinktattoo.com/
Address: 7507 E 36th Ave #120
Contacts: +1 (303) 371-2744
Hours: Mon–Thu: 11 PM–8:30 PM; Fri-Sat: 10 PM–10 PM, Sun: 12 PM–6 PM
Endless Ink’s staff members aren’t just talented, they’re also patient and ego-free, which is perfect if you’re getting your first tattoo and feeling a little nervous.
And if you care about safety, you’ll appreciate their strong focus on hygiene and professional standards.
One thing that really sets Endless Ink apart is that they offer laser tattoo removal right in the shop. It’s not something you find everywhere, and it’s super convenient if you want to clear space for new artwork.
Prices here are also more affordable than some of the studios closer to downtown, so you’ll get a great deal.
The only catch is that the studio is a bit further east, so it might be a trek for some. Also, the artists mostly focus on street styles like flash and lettering, so if you’re hoping for something avant-garde, you might want to look elsewhere.

Cookie, our tattoo artist, was worth every minute and cent
Such a good vibe! The minute my lady and I walked in to see about getting tattoos we were greeted within seconds. Everyone is super nice and helpful. Cookie, our tattoo artist was worth every minute and cent! Clean letter work and very easy to work with. I’d recommend this shop 100/10!

He completely killed my finger tattoo, and even added shading
I recommend Andrew Scott SO HIGHLY! The best Fine-Line and Tattoo artist i’ve had the experience of being tattooed by. His energy is very comforting and makes the tattoo process go by easier than it has gone! He completely killed my finger tattoo, and even added shading. When I tell you this man exceeded my expectations, he totally shocked me with how well this little finger tattoo easily turned into my favorite.

4. Dedication Tattoo

Website: http://dedicationtattoo.com/
Address: 1908 S Broadway
Contacts: +1 (303) 733-0315
Hours: Mon–Sat: 12 PM–8 PM, Sun: 1 PM–6 PM
Dedication Tattoo is known as the go-to spot in Denver for classic American Traditional tattoos. They focus on bold designs with strong black outlines, creating pieces that are meant to last and age beautifully.
When we visited their South Broadway shop, we noticed right away how professional the atmosphere felt. The shop’s location on Antique Row gives it a laid-back, chill vibe, which is much calmer than the busier Colfax area.
We were also impressed by how fast and precise the artists were with their work.
But since they focus on a traditional look, you won’t find something more modern or trendy, like hyper-realism or watercolor styles.

He was very polite and easy to work with
Stumbled upon here during our vacation and we weren’t disappointed. All of the artists are talented and care about the quality of their work. James did some walk in tattoos for my fiancé & I and we couldn’t be happier! He was very polite and easy to work with. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Denver! –

I’ve only ever been to three, but still this one’s number one
Best tattoo shop I’ve ever been too. I’ve only ever been to three, but still this one’s number one. Matty is awesome. So is everyone else. They also offer water service while you wait (that’s a joke. Well it’s not. They do offer you water.). 10/10.

5. Landmark Tattoo

Website: http://landmarktattooing.com/
Address: 609 E 13th Ave.
Contacts: +1 (303) 955-4531
Hours: Mon–Sun: 12 PM–8 PM
Landmark Tattoo is packed with a super-talented group of artists. In fact, they often get featured in national magazines, so they really set the bar high when it comes to quality artwork.
They’re especially famous for their large Japanese pieces and detailed Neo-Traditional work. But if you want something small, you’ll see the same level of care and creative thought go into every tattoo.
When we talked with a client who was getting a huge back tattoo, he highlighted that the level of detail was honestly amazing.
Best of all, the shop’s central location makes it super convenient if you live near downtown.
Just know that because the artists are pretty well-known, their hourly rates are on the higher side compared to other Denver spots. The shop also gets pretty crowded during busy hours.

It was the most painless tattoo I’ve received
My boyfriend and I called super last minute about getting matching tattoos for our daughter and Jodi stayed late for us, she was very personable and made the experience light hearted and fun. She gave her professional opinions while still giving us everything we wanted and more. Needless to say we’ll be going back to her for future work and it was the most painless tattoo I’ve received.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming with a great atmosphere! The tattoo is more than what I was expecting, needless to say I am very happy with how it turned out! If I’m ever traveling to Denver again I will definitely be back! Thank you, guys!
