Finding meaningful daytime support for an adult with a developmental disability involves more than simply finding a place to spend the day. Families often look for programs that provide structure while also helping their loved ones develop practical skills, build confidence, and remain connected to their community.
HOPE Center for Adults takes a vocational approach to Adult Day Services at the Adult Services Center. Its program provides supervision, assessment, community activities, training, employment opportunities, and placement for adults with developmental disabilities beginning at age 16. Currently, HOPE Center serves 8 participants through its Adult Day Services program and has the staffing and capacity to support up to 21 participants.
The biggest distinction of HOPE Center’s Adult Day Services is its focus on vocational development and community inclusion.
The center offers both Supported Community Connections and Specialized Habilitation, giving participants structured opportunities to develop practical abilities while receiving individualized support. These programs reflect the organization’s belief that adults with developmental disabilities should have opportunities to participate in the wider community rather than being isolated from it.
HOPE Center intentionally operates its vocational facility within a diverse and active community. Community activities and neighborhood partnerships are incorporated into the program, creating opportunities for participants to interact with and contribute to the community around them.
The center’s team includes an Executive Director and Instructors. Several team members have spent many years with HOPE Center, adding experience and continuity to the program
Our Take
HOPE Center for Adults stands out because its Adult Day Services are built around purpose rather than simply supervision. Participants have opportunities to work on practical skills, take part in community activities, and pursue employment-related goals with structured support.

2nd Home Adult Community Center in Parker has decades of experience and a highly integrated care model, making them a solid choice for families seeking elder care. They provide targeted programming for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease.
Every participant gets a personalized care plan after an on-site tour. There’s a pharmacy and skilled nursing service, giving participants access to comprehensive medical support and daily supervision under one roof.
What’s more, their licensed caregivers come from diverse cultural backgrounds and speak multiple languages, making communication effortless for everyone. The Parker branch even has a Director of Day Service to oversee all individual care plans.
To help ease financial costs, they accept Colorado Medicaid. Just keep in mind their headquarter’s in Aurora, so Parker families might have to handle billing or administrative issues through that off-site office.

Happy Living Adult Daycare serves Chinese elders with culturally tailored programming and language-specific activities. Their staff designs daily routines around Mandarin and Cantonese speakers so participants can converse and connect with peers.
This facility provides a warm, familiar social setting to prevent isolation in the community. Participants can exercise together, use the transportation service, and attend English classes.
We appreciate their hands-on paperwork assistance. Their team directly helps families apply for state coverage.
Plus, seniors who hold Medicaid and Colorado Long-Term Care qualify to attend the center at zero out-of-pocket cost. There’s also a flexible daily rate for families who prefer to pay privately.
Just note that they strictly admit seniors who speak Mandarin or Cantonese. This language restriction means non-Chinese-speaking seniors can’t participate in their daily activities.
A wonderful place for seniors to stay active
I’ve known many of the seniors who have been with Happy Living Adult Daycare for years, and this center has consistently been a wonderful place for them. They offer a wide variety of meaningful activities — from indoor exercises, mahjong, and chess, to outdoor activities and even field trips — all helping the seniors stay active, engaged, and connected while making new friends.
The staff and the owner are incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and genuinely caring toward every senior. You can truly feel the warmth and dedication they put into their work each day.

Loves the food, outings, and caring owner
My mom loves to come to Happy Living and Wellness Adult Daycare! She’s been coming here for almost 2 years. She barely has any teeth left but she enjoys the food there very much and there’s hardly any left over on her plate. She likes to tell her friends that the owner cares about the elderly in the center very much and there are various organized activities every week, outings once a month. By the end of Sunday, my mom is always looking forward to the center on Monday.

Their expertise is impressive. Their staff holds formal certification for traumatic brain injuries from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
This specialized training equips them to address complex physical and cognitive requirements right on the facility floor.
