The 5 Best Korean Restaurants in Denver You Shouldn’t Miss

best-korean-restaurant-denver
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Ingredient Freshness: We looked closely at how often each kitchen appears to restock core ingredients so the flavors stay bright and balanced. Restaurants using quality meats, crisp vegetables, and well-kept side dishes stood out right away.

Menu Variety: A strong Korean restaurant should work for different cravings, dietary needs, and group sizes. We gave extra credit to places with a thoughtful mix of barbecue, stews, rice dishes, seafood, or vegetarian-friendly options.

Value for Money: Portion size and banchan make a big difference in this category. We compared the overall price against the quality, serving size, and how complete the meal felt once everything reached the table.

Authentic Preparation: We paid attention to whether the food felt rooted in traditional methods instead of rushed shortcuts. Long-simmered broths, properly fermented kimchi, and careful seasoning all helped restaurants rank higher.

Finding the best Korean restaurant in Denver can take a few tries, since the city offers everything from sizzling barbecue spots to cozy soup houses and crispy fried chicken joints.

But don’t worry, we’ve done the legwork for you! We visited multiple spots in the city to find places that felt worth returning to, not just ones that look good online.

That meant paying attention to flavor, quality of the banchan (side dishes), portion sizes, and whether the overall experience lived up to the hype.

After sorting through the options, these are the restaurants that stood out for authentic comfort food, strong signature dishes, and meals we would happily order again.

How much does a meal at a Korean restaurant cost in Denver?

A meal at a Korean restaurant in Denver usually runs from about $6 for casual cafeteria-style dishes to $45+ per person for all-you-can-eat (AYCE) barbecue.

Dining TypeAverage Cost
All-you-can-eat (AYCE) barbecue$25 – $45+ per person
Lunch portionsStarting around $23.99
Dinner portions$30 – $45 per person
A la carte entrees (for example, bibimbap)$15 – $30 per dish
Casual cafeteria-style items$6 – $10

1. BaekGa

baekga

Website: https://baekga.net/
Address: 200 Quebec St Bldg 600 Unit 115
Contact: (720) 639-3872 | [email protected]

Hours: Tuesday-Thursday, Sunday: 11:00 AM-4:00 PM, 5:00 PM-9:00 PM; Friday-Saturday: 11:00 AM-4:00 PM, 5:00 PM-10:00 PM

Walking into BaekGa, we noticed right away how fresh everything smelled. The menu leans traditional, but it still covers enough ground to work for different tastes, so it feels easy to bring a mixed group here.

We booked through the restaurant’s online reservation system, and that alone made dinner smoother.

The family-style meals come with generous portions, double rice, and unlimited banchan. This adds a lot of value when you want a full table.

We were especially impressed by the side dishes, from tangy kimchi to crisp seaweed salad.

The main drawback is timing: they are closed on Mondays, and the break between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM can throw off early dinner plans.

Pros

  • Generous family meal portions
  • Extensive complimentary banchan selection
  • Accommodates specific dietary preferences
  • Extended operating hours on weekends

Cons

  • Closed on Mondays
  • No service between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM

Wonderful tasting restaurant

If you’re looking for a Korean restaurant stop it’s here. This is a classy, quiet, clean friendly wonderful tasting restaurant. The server is just wonderful and the food is just as good. We’ll go back over and over again.

Genuinely authentic Korean food

As a Korean, this is genuinely authentic Korean food. Our server Hyun Joo (Sean) was very good at checking in on us and accommodating for my allergies. The space was very clean, and we will definitely be back. The traditional Hotteok is a MUST!

2. KoBa • All You Can Eat Korean BBQ

koba-all-you-can-eat-korean-bbq

Website: https://aycekoba.com/
Address: 1225 S Federal Blvd
Contact: (303) 862-7255 | [email protected]
Hours: Daily: Lunch 11:00 AM-3:00 PM; Dinner 3:00 PM-11:00 PM

KoBa is the place we’d recommend to people who want a lively all-you-can-eat barbecue experience and plenty of protein options.

The meats come out well-marinated, and the setup feels built for groups who want to settle in and keep grilling.

We also appreciated that the room feels warm instead of rushed. Families get reduced pricing for younger kids, and the beer and soju list helps round out the meal.

If you already enjoy trying different Asian restaurants in Denver, this is an easy stop for a fuller barbecue night.

The tradeoff is the wait. KoBa runs first-come, first-served only, so dinner rush can get unpredictable.

Lunch also ends sharply at 3:00 PM, so you need to arrive with enough time to actually enjoy it.

Pros

  • Wide selection of meat cuts
  • Warm and cozy dining room
  • Discounted pricing for young children
  • Curated beer and soju menu

Cons

  • No advance reservations
  • Strict 3:00 PM lunch cutoff

Customer Reviews

Pleasantly surprised by the quality

Just saw the ad in Korean weekly newspaper about KOBA so my hubby and I decided to give it a try with a very low expectation because of the price point being about 16% lower (lunch AYCE menu) than the competition in Aurora. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of beef offered.  Their banchan offering was about 6-8 which included tasty kimchi and Japchae was really good!  I also made myself ramen with ramen machine(there were 4 machines) and was impressed with variety of ramen in stock.

Marinated really well and very flavorful

I like trying different Korean BBQ places and this one was unique. There meat was marinated really well and was very flavorful. They have a small soup option that was like having a small hot pot with my meal, Instead of getting a big pot and the entire table didn’t have to order it. I had a great experience. Worth going to again.

3. DevilMunchiesLab

devilmunchieslab

Website: https://devilmunchieslab.square.site/
Address: 6500 Smith Rd Unit B
Contact: (720) 635-1933 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday: 10:00 AM-7:00 PM; Saturday: 11:30 AM-3:00 PM

DevilMunchiesLab feels more like a hidden takeout favorite than a standard restaurant, and that is part of the charm. The food comes out fast, but it still tastes like real effort went into it, especially the crispy wings and their house spicy sauce.

We ordered one of the large party trays once, and it was the kind of order that disappears fast once people start reaching for it.

The kimchi has a strong fermented kick, the combo meals are filling, and even plant-based diners have solid options with tofu and vegetables.

The downsides are pretty practical. This is a takeout-only spot; the mixed eggroll order cannot be split, and Saturday hours are so short that weekend visits take some planning.

Still, for bold flavors and value, it stands out.

Pros

  • Large party trays available
  • Dedicated plant-based options
  • Strong house-made wing sauce
  • Affordable combo platters

Cons

  • Takeout only
  • Very limited Saturday hours

Home-cooked and made to order

5 stars agreed with everyone here. Amazing food and man does it taste like its home-cooked and made to order. Had the beef and rice combo with extra protein. Will definitely fill you up. Lots of options for drinks including some Korean drinks. Great artwork on display you definitely feel like you’re at a mom and pops place in Inchon. (Just heads up its take out only) but we’ll worth it eating in car. Hoon was awesome as well with great courtesy and attitude.

One of the best ones in town

How did we not know about DevilMunchies until now? Wings were great. They forgot the side korean sauce but even the plain fried chicken without any sauce was amazingly good. The house spicy was good too. Spicy pork portion was huge and tasty. Very good kimchi. One of the best ones in town. Cucumber was good too. Cool music. Cool art on wall. Nice people. Togo only place.

4. Bonchon Denver – Buchtel Blvd

bonchon-denver-buchtel-blvd

Website: https://restaurants.bonchon.com/
Address: 3970 Buchtel Blvd
Contact: (720) 274-1979
Hours: Sunday-Thursday: 11:00 AM-9:30 PM; Friday-Saturday: 11:00 AM-10:30 PM

Bonchon works well when we want Korean fried chicken without committing to a full barbecue meal.

The double-fried method really does make a difference because the chicken stays crunchy under the sauce instead of turning soggy halfway through the meal.

We also like that the menu goes beyond chicken. The corndogs, loaded fries, and skewers give it more of a Korean street food feel, so it works for casual family dinners or quick comfort food runs.

If you already keep a list of the best restaurants in Denver, this is an easy one to add when fried chicken is the craving.

The biggest limitation is the schedule. It closes earlier than some late-night food spots, especially during the workweek, and mixed chicken combos do not include the complimentary pickled radish.

Those are small annoyances, but worth knowing ahead of time.

Pros

  • Classic street food skewer options
  • Unique Asian fusion corndogs
  • Hearty loaded fry add-ons
  • Crunchy double-fried chicken

Cons

  • Earlier weeknight closing times
  • Mixed combos exclude complimentary sides

Pretty close to the real Korean fried chicken experience

Pretty close to the real Korean fried chicken experience right here in south Denver.  All the crispiness and flavor with the pickled radish to cut the fat.  The package meal was a good deal for how much you get.  The waiter made a mistake but was quick to correct so, nice save!  Overall a good experience.

The flavors are amazing

the flavors are amazing! the bulgogi fries were so bomb – my favorite. Big korean flavor mixed with comfort foods like chicken and fries is just the right amount of novelty to keep from burning out on comfort foods. service was super fast, food was super good. kid friendly fast casual vibes. we ordered the seoul sampler and a side of strips and it was plenty for our family of four! excited to come back and try the kimchi x bacon menu!

5. Moobongri Soondae

moobongri-soondae

Website: https://moobongriusa.com/
Address: 2787 S Parker Rd, Aurora
Contact: (720) 696-7188 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday, Wednesday-Saturday: 9:00 AM-9:00 PM; Tuesday: 10:00 AM-9:00 PM; Sunday: 9:00 AM-8:30 PM

Moobongri Soondae is the most specialized pick on this list, so we’d save it for diners who want something more traditional than barbecue and fried chicken.

Their focus is soondae, or Korean blood sausage. The kitchen backs that up with rich beef bone broths that simmer for 24 hours.

That niche focus is exactly why we found it memorable.

The soups are deeply comforting, the ingredients taste carefully prepared, and the menu feels built around regional dishes instead of trendy crowd-pleasers.

It also helps that the brand comes from a long-running Korean franchise with a very clear identity.

The same specialty is also the main drawback. Organ meats and heavier textures will not be for everyone, and anyone hoping for a broader grill menu may feel limited.

Still, if authenticity matters most, this is one of the strongest options around.

Pros

  • Authentic specialty comfort dishes
  • Long-simmered beef bone broths
  • Consistent daily service coverage
  • Specialized regional menu expertise

Cons

  • Organ meat focus is not for everyone
  • Limited general barbecue options

Customer Reviews

Pleasantly surprised

Moobongri is an area in Korea known for its soondae (Korean blood sausage) and is also one of the most popular, if not the most popular, soondae chain restaurants in Korea. Having had Moobongri Soondae in Korea before, I was both excited and nervous to try this location’s. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised.

Very comforting soup base

So good!!!!!! I miss their food so much after I’m back in California. Very comforting soup base. Nearly the best banchan and kimchi I had in U.S.  We had the beef rib soup glass noodles and ox bone broth with brisket and glass noodles. The delicious soup base is the soul of the meal. I’m lucky to have a chance to try their very authentic Korean food when visiting Denver.  Wonderful restaurant!
