Chris came out to look at our existing A/C and humidifier and took the time to explain the limitations of our system and provide alternatives with the advantages and disadvantages of each. One thing we immediately liked about Golden West is their 24/7 customer service. There’s no shouting “representative!” into the phone—an actual person picks up, even at 2 AM.
But we wish they were more consistent regarding follow-ups, though. A few clients mentioned the technicians had to come back because the issue wasn’t fully fixed the first time.
Even so, their VIP membership makes up for these issues. For $149 a year, you get no service fees, faster scheduling, and great discounts.
What really stuck with us was a story from a former client who had a big attic cooling job done in the middle of summer. The team powered through. They were professional and efficient.
On top of that, the final price was exactly what they said it would be—no surprise add-ons. Honestly, that might be our favorite part too. Sticking to the quote really matters, especially when trying to stay on budget.

We especially appreciate that they work with both residential and commercial properties. All credit to the well-trained and professional crew, who know how to handle various spaces and needs.
We also appreciate that they offer 24/7 emergency service, and yes, it really is around the clock. If the AC gives out in the middle of the night, you’re not stuck waiting until morning.
But as much as we wanted to stay impressed, some things didn’t go well. One client shared a story about a mini-split installation that took over 3 weeks to finish, with several missed appointments. Worse, others have had similar experiences too.

“I had a slow drain that ended up flooding my bathroom because a facet was left on accidentally. I called Heart because I had worked them previously with another home I had and had a great experience then also. Jim and his crew came out and accessed the situation and unfortunately they had to tear up my bathroom to find out what the issue was. A tree root from outside of the home crept through to the inside pipe and damaged it causing the slow drain. Water was also getting into my crawl space. Jim was very compassionate about the situation….for this type of fix involves digging out your bathroom, etc and it can become costly. He provided me with my options and also financial options which I greatly appreciated. Everything got taken care of and I was put at ease that everything would be ok. “On the coldest day this year with record breaking NEGATIVE temps at -12 my furnace goes out! I called heart at 8 pm and they scheduled me for first thing in the morning. They even offered to bring me space heaters that night to help with the Frigid temps to get me through the cold. The next day they sent an hvac specialist named Rick and his apprentice Ben. They were on time and extremely friendly. They both put on shoe covers and went to work. Within minutes they had the issue diagnosed and luckily had the part on their new truck! They were able to fix my furnace in record time without charging a hectic price. They even offer a lifetime warranty on what they install! It’s great to know they stand by their work and the parts they install. Both techs were very friendly and personnel as well as having a great sense of humor. I’m so thankful for Heart as well as Rick and Ben. I will definitely be calling Heart for any of my HVAC needs. I found out they even fix sewers!
