Equipment Quality: We checked for professional-grade lighting and grip gear available on-site. This ensures that you can show up and start shooting without bringing a truckload of supplies.

Space Versatility: We looked at how well the studio adapts to different creative needs, such as portraits and commercial work. A great space should offer a variety of backdrops or sets to give you options.

Client Comfort: We considered amenities such as changing rooms and lounge areas. These features make a huge difference for the comfort of models and clients.

Hours: Monday – Sunday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Colorado Maternity Photography really stands out with their full-service boutique experience just for moms-to-be and newborns.

When we visited, the studio atmosphere was super calm and welcoming, which immediately put us at ease.

They have an amazing client wardrobe with over 100 designer gowns, so you don’t have to worry about buying an outfit you’ll only wear once.

On top of that, they provide on-site hair and makeup, which one mom told us was “a total lifesaver” when she was feeling tired before her session.

However, it’s important to know that their focus is only on maternity and newborns, so you can’t book a regular headshot or big family reunion shoot here.

Pros

  • Full-service boutique experience
  • Access to a luxury designer wardrobe
  • Professional on-site styling
  • Expert newborn posing safety

Cons

  • Only maternity and newborn sessions; no general portraits

Highly recommend him if you want exceptional photos

Ethan is a great photographer, capturing beautiful photos of me and my husband, while highlighting my baby bump. He is very professional and made us both feel extremely comfortable, especially in semi-nude photos. We will definitely use him again in the future and highly recommend him if you are wanting exceptional photos!!!

He made us feel comfortable & relaxed

My husband and loved working with Ethan. He is kind, efficient and very helpful during the actual shoot with posing. He made us feel comfortable & relaxed! Would definitely recommend hiring him for your maternity photos!

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Roka Studios is the go-to spot for anyone who wants senior portraits or headshots with a cool, modern vibe. They mix perfect studio lighting with the gritty feel of Denver’s downtown, making every photo stand out.

They also offer branding sessions, so you can change outfits and get plenty of pics for your social media feeds. Even better, the retouching they do keeps you looking polished but still real, nothing too fake or overdone.

One thing to keep in mind is that they’re closed on weekends, which can be hard for students to schedule around. Also, parking downtown usually costs extra and can be a hassle.

Pros

  • Modern commercial aesthetic
  • Diverse urban outdoor settings
  • Advanced retouching techniques
  • Specialized senior portrait experience

Cons

  • Closed on weekends
  • Paid, tricky downtown parking

In minutes, Ross had taken a bunch of pictures I loved

I hate getting photos taken but Rokas Studios was amazing. In minutes, Ross had taken a bunch of pictures I loved. I ended up purchasing two additional photos because I couldn’t decide on which ones I wanted. Great experience.

Ross was fun and a pleasure to work with

I have never been photogenic, plus now I am old also. I needed some updated photographs, so I went to Ross at Roka Studio’s. I went into the experience not expecting that I would like any of the photo’s, but I ended up liking quite a few of them. On top of that, Ross was fun and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Ross and Roka Studios.

It’s an incredible space with awesome natural light

Becky and Kyle shot our wedding and were dream photographers! They made the day seamless and it was so fun having another couple shoot the day (they even held my veil when she tried to blow away). We received a few sneak peeks the next morning, and we can’t wait to get the whole portfolio back! Becky also shot our engagement photos in studio, and it’s an incredible space with awesome natural light!

Becky, the owner is wonderful, inspiring, and super helpful as well

Being a member at this studio is so great because not only do I have hours each month to reserve the studio for clients or social media content, I have access to a community of great photographers. Becky, the owner is wonderful, inspiring, and super helpful as well. Great customer service!

4. Void Studio

Website: http://voidstudios.net/

Address: 1790 S Bannock St.

Contact: [email protected]

Hours: Available 24 hours

Void Studio is the ultimate space if you need a huge production facility. They have a cyclorama wall and even a door big enough for car shoots, which makes the space perfect for film crews and music videos that need a lot of room.

We walked through their 3,000-square-foot area and were honestly amazed by how massive it felt! You can also rent top-notch Profoto gear and continuous lighting on site, which makes setup way easier.

We love that the studio’s open 24/7, so you can schedule shoots whenever you need, even for long commercial projects.

The only thing to watch for is the higher hourly rate that comes with all that space and pro equipment. Also, if you just want a simple headshot or a small family photo, it might feel like more than you really need.

Pros

  • Massive cyclorama wall facility
  • Open 24/7 for productions
  • Full-size vehicle access door
  • On-site professional gear rentals

Cons

  • High hourly rental rate
  • Might feel too much for simple shoots

Well-lit and spacious studio

Jacek and his co-owner have a well lit and spacious studio. Cyc walls are affordable for people on a budget but allowing us to shoot without shelling out 100 hr for a cyc wall. The places is still under renovation but Jeceks vision he has for the place will make it a go to studio for multi media artist. Check them out and book with VOID.

We captured great things, and I’ve learned so much

Absolutely phenomenal operators, especially the lighting tech JJ (Jacek Jarzabek)!!! Exceptional skills, earnest efforts to support our small business media project, and so helpful. He took our ideas in mind and brought them to life; better than I ever could’ve even imagined. The studio was very spacious and large, with tons of lighting equipment available to suit our needs. Such an amazing day, we captured great things and I’ve learned so much, adding greatly to my personal photography skills.

Rocky Mountain Photography Studios is truly built for creators, offering over 3,500 square feet of different shooting spaces. This place works for anything from big automotive shoots in the huge Summit Studio to smaller branding sessions.

When we visited, we were really impressed by the white and grey cyclorama coves. We also saw dedicated makeup stations and a private dressing room, making things super convenient.

They’ve even got client-friendly extras like a bar, pool table, and lounge areas, which help everyone relax during long days.

If you’re into video or audio work, their soundproofed Green Room is a great spot for podcasting or chroma key projects.

Sure, the location is a bit more industrial and not right downtown, but that means there are tons of free parking and huge bay doors that make loading gear really simple.

Pros

  • Diverse multi-studio rental options
  • Soundproofed green room facility
  • Large industrial cyclorama walls
  • Ample free client parking

Cons

  • Located far from downtown; the setting lacks a city vibe

Customer Reviews

It’s really easy to feel comfortable in this space, which led to some amazing portraits

We came for passport photos and were absolutely impressed by the capacity of the studio. Jeff took amazing care in taking the picture, making sure that my boyfriend looked his best and had several options to choose from. It’s really easy to feel comfortable in this space which led to some amazing portraits. I would recommend this shop for anything from professional headshots to landscape photography.

Jeff and his team were proactive in handling the whole shoot

I contact Jeff from India to get a video shot in Denver. Jeff and his team were proactive in handling the whole shoot and getting it shot at their green screen studio. They were very accommodating of even the smallest inputs from me and were thorough professionals throughout.
