1. Mod Body Arts

mod-body-arts

Website: https://modbodyarts.com/
Address: 3316 Tejon St Unit 101
Contact: (303) 638-6785 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday and Thursday 11:00 AM–7:00 PM | Friday and Saturday 11:00 AM–8:00 PM | Sunday 11:00 AM–5:00 PM | Tuesday and Wednesday (by appointment only)

Safety takes precedence at Mod Body Arts, and that’s exactly what earned it a spot on our list. They strictly use fully disposable, single-use tools, along with premium implant-grade titanium and 14-karat gold jewelry.

Their piercing professionals also hold Red Cross certifications in first aid, giving you serious peace of mind.

Even better, Randy (the owner) has cultivated a highly professional environment that completely relies on vegan-friendly materials.

I recently visited this spot to update my cartilage jewelry and was thoroughly impressed by their meticulous sterilization process.

They also offer a fantastic minors’ package. Just note that the studio requires children to be at least five years old.

The initial baseline cost of $85 is undeniably steep compared to other local spots. But that price automatically includes high-quality titanium hardware right out of the gate, making it a solid investment.

Pros

  • Inclusive implant-grade titanium jewelry
  • Custom-fitted permanent jewelry available
  • Vast premium upgrades like solid gold
  • Private event bookings for groups

Cons

  • Minimum age requirement of 5 years
  • Premium base pricing starting at $85

Customer Reviews

Based on previous reviews, we asked to have our piercings (one person got a helix and two got 2nd earlobe) done with Randy. He was excellent! So calm and walks you through step by step. He was happy to pierce our teenager as well. Pleased with all of the sterilization efforts taken. Definitely recommend!

Randy was great! He pierced me and 3 of my friends. He was careful and also showed us where he was going to pierce us before hand and was very accommodating if we wanted to change the location of the piercing. They have a great selection of jewelry to choose from. The inside was clean and professional with chill music

2. Bound By Design

bound-by-design

Website: https://boundbydesign.com/
Address: 1332 East Colfax Ave
Contact: (303) 832-8282 | [email protected]
Hours: Daily 11:00 AM–9:00 PM

If you’re searching for advanced body modifications like Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) implants, Bound By Design can be a solid option. Their focus on precise bodily care mirrors the attention to detail you might find at top aesthetic clinics around the city.

Operating since 1993, they recently expanded by opening “The Chrysalis.” This is a dedicated secondary location focused entirely on upscale ear curations.

You will find a highly trained team capable of handling complex procedures alongside delicate tooth gem applications.

Families are welcome, as the shop accommodates earlobe piercings for infants as young as six months old.

Just be prepared for strict logistical rules: the studio requires two adults to be present for any child under 2. This specific policy can be a frustrating hurdle for single parents trying to organize a visit.

The shop remains incredibly accessible otherwise, with daily walk-in availability.

Pros

  • Daily walk-in availability
  • Volume discounts for multiple piercings
  • Explicit guarantee on all piercings
  • Diverse staff of full-time piercers

Cons

  • Strict two-adult requirement for infants
  • Hefty $25 penalty for missed appointments

Customer Reviews

My piercer, Patrick, is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend. His care for all aspects of piercing are about as good as it gets. Answered all of my questions, and described angle of entry, technique, and how angle would matter. Above all his concern for minimizing my pain was truly excellent. The overall atmosphere and front counter staff are fantastic! Apple was very helpful explaining jewelry. I will absolutely be returning, and recommending Bound By Design for all of my and my friends’ piercings.

My husband & I came here to get piercings. We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience here. They were incredibly knowledgeable, professional, & you could tell that they deeply cared for their clients. Their expertise is unmatched-Maya was our piercer & I am so grateful that she worked with us! Her energy was fantastic, she listened to us, & knew exactly what we wanted/needed. We will be recommending Maya & Bound by Design to everyone we know. Thank you so much!

Address: 216 E 13th Ave
Contact: (720) 382-2639 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Saturday 12:00 PM–8:00 PM | Sunday 12:00 PM–6:00 PM

IRIS offers an exclusive selection of original body jewelry, curated specifically for its Capitol Hill clientele, by partnering directly with independent designers.

The studio has been around since 2005 and has maintained a sharp focus on safe procedures. The staff actually exclusively uses implant-grade titanium or solid gold for all initial insertions.

We love that they require rigorous anatomy consultations prior to performing technically demanding placements, like industrials.

I spoke with a friend who recently booked a session here, and she praised their transparent online scheduling system.

She did note that their segmented pricing structure caught her slightly off guard during checkout. The listed service fees cover only the physical procedure. You have to purchase the jewelry separately at an additional cost.

Group bookings can also be a hassle, as the staff frequently splits up parties to manage their busy calendar.

Pros

  • Dedicated booking options for minors
  • Affordable $15 jewelry swap appointments
  • Walk-in flexibility for weekend jewelry shopping
  • Transparent online calendar system

Cons

  • Segmented pricing excludes jewelry costs
  • Inflexible logistics for group bookings

Customer Reviews

I’ve gotten a variety of ear piercings from Iris at both the Boulder and Denver locations. Everyone I have worked with is always so friendly and knowledgeable! The gallery assistants are very patient and helpful when it comes to picking jewelry that goes with the pieces you already have or fitting a unique space on your ear. The piercers always take their time to make sure the piercing is symmetrical or positioned the way you want. I’ve gotten 8 piercings from them at this point and there is a reason why I keep going back! They are the best!!

jenni was wonderful, very insightful and informative on the subject of piercings/aftercare. they made me feel comfortable and safe in the process. the staff is very helpful & professional. i would come back, when i visit denver again.

Just be aware that the studio doesn’t provide services to clients under 16 years old.

They also enforce a rigid deposit policy with absolutely no refunds. You have to be sure before reserving a time slot to avoid losing your money.

Customer Reviews

10/10 experience. I had a piercing done somewhere else and the jewelry was wayyy too long and they took great care of me swapping the jewelry out to be the right size so it wouldn’t get caught on everything. Frank was very gentle and very sterile and I appreciate him helping me solve this issue. Rome was awesome getting me in and taken care of and brought me a gingerale when I wasn’t feeling great. I also got a monstera clipping which was amazing. Best piercing shop experience I’ve had and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Absolutely loved my experience. I got two piercings and two tattoos. I’ve never experienced a piercing or tattoo to be as painless as Frank and Zeefox made it. They were very accommodating to my needs and made it a very cool experience. Their art is beautiful and I will be returning.

5. Rowan Cherry Creek

rowan-cherry-creek

Website: https://heyrowan.com/pages/ear-piercing-cherry-creek-denver-co
Address: 255 Fillmore St, Suite 100
Contact: (303) 386-4238
Hours: Monday to Thursday 11:00 AM–6:00 PM | Friday to Saturday 9:00 AM–7:00 PM | Sunday 10:00 AM–5:00 PM

We love how Rowan Cherry Creek treats the piercing process as a true medical procedure. Every single session is performed exclusively by a licensed, registered nurse.

Their clinical protocols were even developed in collaboration with a specialized Medical Advisory Board to ensure maximum safety and hygiene.

Clients can choose between a traditional hollow-needle method or a specialized hand-pressured device. The studio only uses premium hypoallergenic metals, keeping the rate of adverse reactions extremely low, under 1%.

The staff also makes the experience feel special. They cater to infants, children, and nervous clients in a supportive, celebratory way.

That said, their services are fairly limited. The shop focuses strictly on ear and basic nose piercings, so anyone looking for advanced facial or oral modifications will need to go elsewhere.

Scheduling is limited as well. They’re only available on weekdays, which can be inconvenient if you need post-piercing care.

Pros

  • Complimentary aftercare evaluation appointments
  • Free jewelry changes with in-store purchases
  • Highly welcoming environment for all ages
  • Fun and celebratory atmosphere for kids

Cons

  • Limited strictly to ear and basic nose services
  • Post-change services unavailable on weekends

Customer Reviews

I went to get my doubles re-pierced and I am so happy with my experience! Elena was so sweet and welcoming from the start. Very helpful and knowledgeable to recommend the right piercing technique for my situation. Then Alyssa (my piercer) was absolutely amazing! I am so grateful for her attention to detail and how quick and painless the process was. The shop was very clean and lots of different options. I’d highly recommend the whole process!

Took my daughter to Rowan for her first ear piercing and had an incredible experience. Lauren, our nurse, was fantastic. She was calm, kind, and patient. She explained everything clearly and made sure my daughter felt comfortable and safe throughout the entire process. The shop was clean, professional, and had a fun, welcoming vibe that helped ease any nerves. Highly recommend Rowan if you’re looking for a safe and positive first piercing experience for a child. Thank you Lauren!
