I visited last month, and the complex, earthy mole absolutely coated my tongue in the best way possible.
Securing a table requires some serious commitment, though, as the restaurant’s strict cancellation policy hits you with a $20 per person fee if plans change within 24 hours.
Their dedicated patio space is notable. provides an incredibly vibrant open-air setting during the warmer months. It’s the perfect spot to make you feel the warmth of a street food stand through every carefully plated dish.
The best part is that even though they’ve earned a Michelin star, they kept prices approachable, which is a massive win for early-evening diners.
Customer Reviews:
I totally felt the elevated experience and fine dining food.
We celebrated our anniversary here and had an amazing time! I totally felt the elevated Fonda experience and fine dining food while feeling like I was eating in my Mothers kitchen. Thank you!!! We will definitely be back.

Alma is in my top 5.
I consider myself a fine dining savant. I’ve been to all of Denver’s fine dining restaurants. Alma is in my top 5. My wife found them on Tic Tok. They have only been open 5 weeks and their future in bright. The service is A1. The food is complex, elegant, and speaks to the soul of Mexican cuisine in an elevated state. We will definitely be back.

The only catch is that his operation relies heavily on custom sourcing, meaning urgent bookings with less than three days’ notice are incredibly tough to secure.
Customer Reviews:
He did not disappoint.
Ian was fabulous, very responsive and a skilled chef! My husband and I were staying at an air bnb and I wanted a chef to prepare a 3 course meal at our cabin for dinner. He worked with us on a perfect menu to meet all of our likes and the food was delicious. We highly recommend him and will definitely book him again when we return! We are big foodies and enjoy fine dining restaurants and he did not disappoint.

3. Beckon

Website: https://www.beckon-denver.com/
Address: 2843 Larimer St.
Contact: 1-303-749-0020
Hours: Wednesday – Sunday: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Beckon is a Michelin-starred dining destination offering an intimate, prepaid Chef’s Counter experience. The menu rotates with the seasons, ensuring every dish is served at the absolute peak of its natural freshness.
If you ever feel like venturing out for an incredible Japanese restaurant, that requires precision too, but Beckon’s strictly seasonal American approach is a totally different thrill.
The sheer artistry happening in the open kitchen is mesmerizing to watch as the chefs plate each bite with surgical precision.
A friend of mine dined here last week and couldn’t stop raving about how the dedicated sommelier perfectly amplified the rich notes of the final course, making the energetic counter the absolute best seat in the house.
Moreover, their frictionless prepaid model is a dream, eliminating the awkward check-splitting dance at the end of the night.
However, securing a spot for a larger gathering is practically impossible since they strictly limit parties to four guests.
Customer Reviews:
We will definitely be back for every season.
What an incredible experience. We did the chefs tasting menu with cocktail pairing for my boyfriends birthday & it did not disappoint. Loved how so many ingredients were from their garden. Sitting at the table watching the chefs do their thing was awesome. We will definitely be back for every season

The tasting menu was outstanding and highly recommended.
Beckon is incredible. They have one Michelin star and it’s so well deserved. We sat at the chef counter and it’s such a unique experience getting to watch the chefs prepare the dishes in front of you. The staff are outstanding—kind, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. The tasting menu was outstanding and highly recommend the wine pairing. Many of the wines featured are from regenerative vineyards and super unique. Their attention to detail—from the music and lighting to the food—makes this a magical experience. 11/10 and one of my favorite dining experiences in Denver.

4. Rioja

Website: http://www.riojadenver.com/
Address: 1431 Larimer St
Contact: (303) 820-2282 | [email protected]
Hours: Flavor Dojo: M-F: 11-2:30 | Brunch: Sat Sun: 10-2:30 | Dinner: Sun – Thur: 4-10 & Fri – Sat: 4-11
Located right in historic Larimer Square, Rioja is led by a James Beard Award-winning executive chef. This place also shines for its highly acclaimed menu, inspired by Mediterranean ingredients and blended with local, seasonal products.
The vibrant exhibition kitchen pulses with energy, letting you soak in the sizzle and steam of the cooking process while you sip a bold Spanish wine. They even serve a premium brunch on weekends, which is a glorious rarity for high-end tasting spots.
The only slight bummer is the mandatory 5% Denver Minimum Wage fee tacked onto the final bill, which adds just a bit to the overall cost.
Despite that, the flavors absolutely sing, transporting your taste buds straight to a coastal European paradise. For those nights you prefer the couch, their high-end carryout option brings that same luxurious taste directly to your living room.
Customer Reviews:
It was a lovely place for a date night.
We had the chefs tasting menu and it was lovely. The dessert was, of course, my favorite and my husband’s was the tortellini with white truffles. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. It was a lovely place for a date night set right in the middle of historic Larimer Square. Highly recommend a visit when you’re in Denver.

One of the best meals I have ever had in Colorado.
We chose the 7 course tasting menu and it was one of the best meals I have ever had in Colorado. 2 out of the party did the 5 course tasting so all in all everyone got to try 12 different dishes and not a single one was just okay. All were excellent.

5. Wildflower

Website: https://www.wildflower-lohi.com/
Address: 3638 Navajo St
Contact: (720) 372-7999 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday – Saturday: 4:30 PM – 10:00 PM
If you want to dine in a place that honors the agricultural history of the Lower Highlands, Wildflower is a must-visit.
This Michelin-Recommended restaurant serves predominantly Italian cuisine, but it merges Denver’s Mexican roots with modern, hyper-local farming.
Guided by Chef Aiden Tibbetts, the kitchen transforms humble ingredients into earthy masterpieces that tell a story of the surrounding land.
To wash everything down, they offer a wild beverage program featuring artisanal mead and natural wines that perfectly echo the earthy menu.
Just note that they’re closed on Sundays, so weekend warriors will need to plan their decadent dinners for Friday or Saturday.
If you want something totally different, like a heavily spiced Indian restaurant, Denver has those, too, but this localized fusion is incredibly unique. It’s an unapologetically bold culinary concept that roots itself deeply in community and serious kitchen talent.
Customer Reviews:
Each dish was so flavorful and unlike anything I’ve ever tasted.
Best restaurant in Denver – I’ve dined here twice; once for a company dinner and once for a birthday dinner. The food is so interesting. Each dish was so flavorful and unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Denver, and will be back. The tasting menu is very reasonably priced for the amount of courses you receive, and the size of each course.

Would love coming back here again.
We went here to celebrate our anniversary and this triumphs all the food experiences we’ve had in Denver. Wife is vegetarian and we ended up choosing the tasting menu. Best decision ever. They customized some of their food to be vegetarian for us. We had close to 5 appetizers by the end of which we were stuffed. We ended up taking the entree and dessert home. Would love coming back here again. Thank you for the great experience.
