We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.
  • Diagnostic Depth: We looked at how thorough the testing actually is for each patient. This ensures you get a complete picture of your health rather than just a surface-level glance.

  • Accessibility and Affordability: We checked for financial assistance programs and clear pricing models. Quality healthcare must remain reachable for everyone in our community.

  • Technology and Facilities: We evaluated the quality of the medical equipment and the comfort of the clinic. Modern tools lead to more accurate results and a better overall experience.

  • Patient Feedback: We reviewed what actual locals are saying about their personal experiences. Consistent praise for staff communication and wait times weighed heavily in our rankings.

1. Cunningham Clinic

cunningham-clinic

Website: cunninghamclinic.com

Address: 695 S Colorado Blvd #160

Contact: +1 (720) 650-4660

Hours: Mon–Thu 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Fri 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Guided by a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Cunningham Clinic truly shines by using functional medicine to catch potential health issues before they become chronic problems.

Their approach goes beyond the usual “everything looks fine” response you might get after standard lab work. Instead, they combine routine screenings with deeper metabolic and hormonal testing to uncover what your body may be signalling.

Overall, going here is especially helpful if you feel like something is off, but your regular results keep coming back normal.

Moreover, the clinic’s calm, unrushed environment also makes it easier to understand what your numbers mean for long-term wellness.

However, it’s worth noting that their hours are quite limited. Since they close early on Fridays and stay shut on weekends, booking can be tricky if you work a strict nine-to-five job.

Pros

  • Functional medicine focus
  • In-depth health testing
  • Helpful for vague symptoms
  • Calm, informative visits

Cons

  • No weekend appointments
  • Limited clinic hours

Accommodating, professional, and knowledgeable

I can speak to the entire staff from the front desk all the way up the chain – the Cunningham Clinic only gets 5 stars because there isn’t 6 available. They are just on point with everything. Accommodating, professional, and knowledgeable. I can’t say enough and consider myself fortunate to have found the clinic when I did some 8+/- years ago. I didn’t even let a move 20 miles west of Denver stop me. Thanks CC!

I am so very grateful for her and how she’s changed my wellness journey

Kimberly Cunningham is so very knowledgeable. After seeing so many doctors, wellness experts etc, this was the first time I felt heard, seen, and understood. Kimberly offers a comprehensive approach to overall health and wellness. I am so very grateful for her and how she’s changed my wellness journey.

Denver Health provides essential medical screenings with a strong commitment to making care accessible for every resident, regardless of their insurance status. This can be a huge relief if you’re worried about the cost of staying on top of your health.

Their large medical network allows them to offer everything from basic blood pressure checks to more advanced cancer, heart, and lung screenings.

You also get access to evidence-based protocols through their teaching hospital model, which adds extra confidence to the quality of care.

We also appreciate that they have a financial assistance program for uninsured and underinsured patients, making preventive care feel less out of reach.

On the downside, the main campus can feel overwhelming to navigate. You should also expect longer wait times since they serve such a high volume of patients.

Pros

  • Accessible care options
  • Wide screening range
  • Evidence-based hospital care
  • Financial assistance available

Cons

  • Overwhelming main campus
  • Longer wait times likely

Kind, efficient, and empathetic

I love all my experiences at Denver Health. I use them for my neurology, primary care, and unfortunately for 3 urgent care visits within one year. Everyone is always kind, efficient, and empathetic. As a Denver resident I am grateful for Denver Health to assist with all of my health needs. Waits are never bad, they’re always communicative, and I feel very confident with the care I recieve.

Compassionate, efficient, and professional

My daughter was recently admitted through the ER and spent 5 nights inpatient getting many tests. The nursing care was fantastic: compassionate, efficient and professional. Special shout out to RN Daniel Grissom and CNA Lisa Coffin who were truly angels and put our daughter and family at ease. Many thanks!

3. Health Images

Website: healthimages.com

Address: 2425 Canyon Blvd., Suite #150, Boulder

Contact: +1 (303) 440-1000

Hours: Mon–Fri 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Health Images delivers high-end radiology services for patients interested in elective wellness screenings, including heart calcium scoring and full-body CT scans.

Finding an imaging center like this that offers advanced preventative scans without hospital-level pricing can make proactive health checks feel much more accessible.

Their biggest advantage is price transparency, since patients can often save up to 50% compared to what major hospital systems charge for similar imaging.

The facility also feels much more comfortable than a typical medical office, with private changing rooms and attentive staff who help make the process less stressful.

While same-day appointments are often available for certain screenings, it’s best to call ahead to check availability and ensure your exam can be accommodated. Still, having this option is a plus if you don’t want to wait weeks for a scan.

Just be aware that they’re strictly radiology-only here. They provide the report, but you’ll still need your own primary doctor to interpret the results. Some wellness scans may not be covered by insurance.

Pros

  • Advanced wellness scans
  • Transparent, lower pricing
  • Comfortable scan experience
  • Same-day appointments possible

Cons

  • Radiology services only
  • Doctor needed for interpretation
  • Some scans may not be covered  by insurance

The staff put me at ease and explained clearly what they needed me to do

The wait time for the test was minimal. The staff put me at ease and explained clearly what they needed me to do, assuring me that the uncomfortable positions would not last long (they didn’t).  Since I was fasting before the test, a few tasty snacks were provided as soon as the images were completed.  It was obvious that the techs and other staff cared for the comfort and welfare of their patients.

Everyone was just helpful and super nice

So impressed with this facility. Just had a CAT scan and had a slight reaction to the injection, and was very impressed with the quick response of the team, in particular Patrick who was my technician. Also everyone was just helpful and super nice. recommend this place 100%

4. Preventive Medicine & Cancer Care

Website: pmccdenver.com

Address: 1211 S. Parker Rd, Suite 200

Contact: +1 720-893-9515

Hours: Mon–Thu 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Fri: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Preventive Medicine & Cancer Care focuses heavily on concierge preventive care and early cancer detection for patients who want a deeper look at their long-term health.

Their standout service is the Executive Physical, a half-day evaluation led by an expert oncologist that goes far beyond a basic checkup.

The clinic also handles advanced baseline testing and genetic risk assessments, helping uncover hidden risk factors that may not appear in routine exams.

On top of that, their personalized nutrition and lifestyle coaching turns the visit into a full wellness roadmap for the year instead of a one-time screening.

The most significant limitation here is the cost, as they operate on a membership model. Since most insurance plans likely won’t cover the full price of these detailed screenings, this option may feel too expensive if you only need a simple annual physical.

Pros

  • Concierge preventive care
  • In-depth Executive Physical
  • Advanced risk testing
  • Personalized wellness coaching

Cons

  • Membership-based pricing
  • Limited insurance coverage
  • Costly for basic checkups

Excellent communication and care

I was very pleased with the health assessment I had at Preventative Medicine and Cancer Care. The follow-up in all manner was clear and timely. Questions and refill requests were responded to right away. Excellent communication and care.

Too many great things to say

Too many great things to say! Dr. Levandovsky is very experienced, knowledgable, intelligent, compassionate and much more – a great doctor. He really epitomizes the patient-first mentality which enriched my experience going through treatment for breast cancer. I cannot thank Dr. Levandovsky enough for all the care and expertise provided to me during this time.

5. UCHealth

Website: www.uchealth.org

Address: 12605 E 16th Ave, Aurora

Contact: +1 (720) 848-0000

Hours: Mon–Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Staying on top of health screenings can feel easier when your healthcare system does some of the tracking for you, which is what UCHealth does.

A standout aspect here is their high-tech approach through My Health Connection, a patient portal that sends reminders when you’re due for important screenings.

These alerts are based on details such as your age and medical history, helping you keep up with milestones like mammograms, colonoscopies, and other preventive screenings.

Beyond that, UCHealth supports access through community programs, including a mobile mammography van that travels around the city.

However, the billing process may feel confusing because of the organization’s size. Some visits may also feel less personal due to the high patient volume.

Pros

  • Smart screening reminders
  • Personalized patient portal
  • Mobile mammography access
  • Strong community programs

Cons

  • Confusing billing process
  • Less personal care due to high patient volume

The doctor was professional

Before I went to UCHealth University of Colorado. I went to another hospital twice, and they have not solved my problem.  So,I went to the university’s hospital and they did all the tests and they founded and solution to my health problem. The doctor was professional, and the nurses were professional, too. They all have the attributes to be great caregivers. Compression, empathy, and understanding of others. Except two. I am greatful.
