From Little Saigon to Modern Tables: The 5 Best Vietnamese Restaurants in Denver

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Menu Variety: I looked for restaurants offering more than just standard pho bowls. Unique appetizers and creative fusion options scored extra points during my review process.

Flavor Authenticity: Bold, uncompromising flavors are essential to a great dining experience. Restaurants that use traditional ingredients, like robust fish sauce, ranked much higher on my list.

Dining Atmosphere: The physical space heavily impacts how much you enjoy your meal. I focused on places with comfortable seating and highly welcoming staff.

Value for Money: Portion sizes need to align with the prices charged. Places offering huge shared platters or generous noodle bowls earned high marks.

Are you looking for a steaming bowl of rich broth and perfectly chewy noodles? Finding the best Vietnamese restaurant in Denver means moving beyond basic takeout to discover authentic, complex broths and fresh rolls.

I’ve actually done legwork (and slurping), exploring the city to separate the great meals from the mediocre ones.

With the options in Denver, you’ll enjoy everything from large family platters to spicy bone broths! Just grab your chopsticks and get ready for a great meal. Read on for your next pho stop!

1. Sap Sua

sap-sua

Website: https://www.sapsua.com/

Address: 2550 E Colfax Ave

Contact: (303) 736-2303 | [email protected]

Hours:

  • Monday: 4:30 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Wednesday – Thursday: 4:30 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Friday – Saturday: 4:30 PM – 9:30 PM
  • Sunday: 4:30 PM – 9:00 PM

If you want a non-traditional twist on classic dishes, you should definitely check out Sap Sua. They really push the envelope by using bold ingredients like pungent fish sauce and fiery capsicum.

Rather than playing it safe with standard expectations, they prioritize culinary growth.

I dropped in recently after visiting some local markets and found a spot at the bar. I tried the oxtail hand pies at their Saturday morning bakery pop-up, and they were incredible! Those intense flavors definitely stick with you.

If you drop in duringa at the right time, you can even grab discounted lagers during their daily happy hour.

One downside, however, is the $20 cancellation fee, which feels a bit harsh for a casual night out. They also cannot accommodate allium allergies, too, so keep that in mind.

Pros

  • Free dedicated parking garage
  • Daily happy hour drink specials
  • Welcoming to young children
  • Bar seating reserved for walk-ins

Cons

  • Very strict cancellation penalties
  • Restrictive dietary allergy policies
  • Closed on Tuesdays

Customer Reviews:

Just hands done crazy good!
Just want to come on here and rave about this wonderful restaurant. We have eaten here for dinner a few times and as always..amazing. Today was the first time we’ve tried their Saturday morning pastries and all I can say….is GO! Beautiful, delicious nuggets of joy from apple fritters, pecan monkey bread, ox tail hand pies and everything in between…just hands done crazy good! Their team gets massive kudos for making some of the best food in Denver. GO!

Everything was delicious
This was the heighlight of my trip to denver. Everything from the drinks to the desserts were extremely well composed to fit well with the menu. I got the endive salad, the 5 spice duck cassoulet as well as both desserts everything was delicious and went together. Highly recommended

2. Pho Social

pho-social

Website: https://www.phosocialdenver.com/

Address: 333 Broadway

Contact: (720) 943-9934

Hours:

  • Thursday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • Friday – Saturday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Sunday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Eating out with a large group often leads to a fight over the appetizers. Good thing Pho Social solves this beautifully with massive shared platters packed with spring rolls and pork dumplings.

You can even order a signature board with grilled pork and soft-shell crab to build your own rice paper rolls. They also elevate the standard soup experience by offering premium proteins like rich ribeye steak.

Vegetarians even get a dedicated menu section full of plant-based options, rather than just one afterthought dish.

While the lively energy inside makes it a great weekend hangout, keep in mind that this premium approach comes with much higher prices.

For example, paying $48 for a special platter might strain a tight lunch budget. Those costly seafood starters are definitely a major investment best saved for special occasions.

Pros

  • Massive shared group platters
  • Premium steak protein options
  • Extensive vegetarian menu section
  • Easy digital ordering system

Cons

  • High-end menu price points
  • Expensive specialty seafood appetizers

Customer Reviews:

Amazing is kind of an understatement
The crab cheese Rangoons were some of the best I’ve ever eaten, they have a good amount of onions if you’re not an onion person (my wife doesn’t like onions but she thoroughly enjoyed them). The vegetable egg rolls tasted familiar, but like they had more attention to detail or care. My wife had the vermicelli noodles with grilled chicken and spicy beef, amazing! I had the pho with steak and brisket, also amazing (amazing is kind of an understatement for that broth)! The service was informative, fast and friendly! Highly recommend!

Perfectly seasoned and freshly cooked
The dining room is spacious and we got there early enough to not have to wait for a table. We got the edamame, pork dumplings, and spring rolls with pork and shrimp to start. The spring rolls were particularly delicious with the meat perfectly seasoned and freshly cooked.

I also had the spicy beef pho and the spicy passion fruit margarita. The beef was not too spicy but still had great flavor. The passion fruit margarita was so good too. Highly recommend.

3. Com Nha Kitchen & Bar

com-nha-kitchen-bar

Website: http://comnhakitchenandbar.com/

Address: 2133 S Sheridan Blvd

Contact: (720) 948-2639 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday to Sunday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Sometimes, you just want a lively communal feast instead of a quiet solo dinner. That’s why Com Nha Kitchen & Bar is the best stop if for massive family-style dishes designed specifically for group sharing.

They also serve a brilliant brisket taco that comes with a side of rich broth for dipping. The interactive nature of building your own rice cake bites made the meal incredibly fun here.

I visited after checking out some downtown breweries and ordered their whole grilled free-range chicken. To finish, you can wash it all down with an ube-topped Vietnamese cream coffee.

However, solo diners might struggle here since the signature platters are enormous and expensive. In particular, paying $70 for a goat hot pot only makes sense if you have hungry friends with you.

Pros

  • Interactive build-your-own platters
  • Unique brisket pho tacos
  • Massive seafood dish selection
  • Open daily until late

Cons

  • Giant platters isolate solo diners
  • Signature items are very expensive

Customer Reviews:

The food here is absolutely delicious
Cannot wait to come back to this incredible restaurant! The food here is absolutely delicious and one of the best meals we’ve had since moving to Denver. Everything was so flavorful, thoughtfully plated and perfectly cooked. We are transplants from Houston and are used to having incredible Vietnamese restaurants all over the city, so we have been searching for our “spot”. I believe we have found it! The restaurant is stylish and vibey (with a great drink menu), so perfect for date night.

Would highly recommend the mini eggs rolls and the Com Hawaii.

The best Vietnamese food
My husband and I are always on the hunt for Vietnamese food, and this is the best Vietnamese food we’ve had! I’m giving this place a 10/10. The spring rolls with peanut sauce are really good. My kids and my husband got pho and they loved every bit of it.

4. Phở & Bar

ph-bar

Website: http://www.phoandbar.com/

Address: 1600 E 17th Ave

Contact: (720) 535-7274 | [email protected]

Hours:

  • Monday: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
  • Wednesday – Sunday: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM

Traditional recipes often need a modern touch to stay exciting, and Phở & Bar definitely delivers on that. The rich aromas hit you the moment you walk inside.

Here, they shake up classic expectations by serving a signature spicy beef bone broth, heavily flavored with lemongrass and shrimp paste. You never have to settle for basic vegetable toppings swimming in meat stock here.

In addition to the soup, they craft inventive small bites like cotija cheese corn and beef-stuffed pho rolls.

Vegans will also appreciate the dedicated plant-based broth infused with charred onion and star anise.

However, early birds will be disappointed since the doors do not open until one o’clock in the afternoon. Missing the noon lunch rush feels like a strange choice. They’re also closed every Tuesday, so keep that in mind.

Pros

  • Unique spicy lemongrass broth
  • Dedicated vegan broth option
  • Inventive fusion side dishes
  • Family heritage recipe foundation

Cons

  • No early afternoon lunch service
  • Closed on Tuesdays

Customer Reviews:

Everything we ordered was really good!
We had such a great experience here. Everything we ordered was really good! The eggs rolls, cotija corn, and five spice fries were a great start. My banh mi was incredible and huge, and my wife’s shrimp bowl was just as impressive. The staff was so attentive and kind. We would highly recommend this establishment to any and everyone!

We were impressed with our meals
I ordered takeout from pho & bar last night, and it was fantastic. I got the house pho with shredded chicken which was oh so delightfully spicy and my partner got the chicken bahn mi which came with a side of five spice fries. We were both impressed with our meals and will definitely be back. The restaurant also had a nice vibe the next time it might be for date night.

5. Tony Pho Vietnamese Restaurant Noodle Soup and Grill

tony-pho-vietnamese-restaurant-noodle-soup-and-grill

Website: https://www.tonypho.com/

Address: 1002 S Federal Blvd

Contact: (720) 550-7620

Hours: Monday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Most noodle shops skip the grill entirely, so finding a place with a dual focus is a real treat. Thankfully, Tony Pho masters both rich noodle soups and perfectly charred grilled meats.

Located right on South Federal Boulevard, this spot serves as a cultural landmark for the community. They also take the time to explain regional differences in ingredients to their guests.

I also love that they open their doors bright and early at 9 am every day! Enjoying a hot bowl of soup for an early breakfast feels deeply authentic and comforting.

Just keep in mind that large groups might have to wait a while, as they don’t take reservations.

And while the casual atmosphere is perfect for a quick lunch, it isn’t really the place for a romantic date. The dining room can also get very noisy during peak hours.

Pros

  • Offers both noodles and grill
  • Open early for breakfast
  • Serves seven days a week
  • Explains regional food history

Cons

  • No advance table reservations
  • Casual atmosphere

Customer Reviews:

The food is amazing
I come here alone at least 1-3 times every month for the past year since moving to CO. The food is amazing always fresh and great portions. The most amazing part is the staff especially Tony himself. He takes so much pride in his buisness and adores his customers. Feels like home the moment you walk in. Will continue to get my buisness for years to come🖤

The best pho we’ve had in Denver
We love Tony’s! Right when you walk in, it feels clean and homey. Most importantly, it’s the best pho we’ve had in Denver (and I grew up getting pho in Westminster / Orange County California which has the most Vietnamese people outside of Vietnam so I’m picky). The other food is good too. We like getting the spring rolls and the hubby likes the grilled pork or grilled beef plate. Also, Tony himself is great! Very welcoming and he takes his business seriously with pride. Also the prices are good! This a go-to comfort spot for us for sure.
