We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Technological Capabilities: We assessed the type of diagnostic equipment and imaging tools used by each clinic. Facilities utilizing advanced 3D scanning and modern surgical instruments scored higher for their ability to minimize tissue trauma.

Anesthesia and Sedation Options: Patient comfort is paramount during invasive procedures, so we evaluated the range of pain management protocols available. Clinics offering tailored IV sedation or general anesthesia administered by trained specialists were prioritized.

Accessibility and Scheduling: We reviewed the operating hours and appointment flexibility of each practice. Practices that accommodate emergency walk-ins or extended hours provide a distinct advantage for urgent needs.

Specialized Expertise: We looked at the qualifications of the performing surgeons, prioritizing those with board certifications in oral and maxillofacial surgery. We also favored teams that maintain rigorous clinical standards and collaborate closely with referring general dentists.

Dealing with a sudden, painful impaction is stressful, and even a routine preventive extraction can feel overwhelming. So, finding the right oral surgeon is crucial to a smooth and painless (well, almost) experience.

I know that navigating dental procedures can feel like a lot to handle, but we can’t always rely on easier, natural solutions when our bodies are in so much pain already.

Ultimately, finding Denver’s best clinics for wisdom tooth removal is the wisest and safest option.

To help you on your journey, I reviewed specialized dental clinics that prioritize patient comfort and use the most advanced surgical techniques.

Navigating dental surgery can be daunting, especially if you’re experiencing sudden wisdom tooth pain or planning a preventive extraction. At Colorado Oral Surgery, they shine for their targeted approach.

The team integrates advanced 3D scanning techniques to precisely map your jaw anatomy prior to performing extractions. This CBCT technology allows their board-certified surgeons to plan accurately and administer in-office IV sedation.

Address: 4200 E 8th Ave #200

Contact: (720) 738-1666

Hours: Sunday – Wednesday, Friday – Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM; Thursday: 12 PM to 9 PM

Nothing is worse than an unexpected dental issue flaring up over the weekend, which is exactly why I found myself reaching out to a local clinic for immediate help.

Emergency Dental of Denver operates outside of traditional clinical hours to provide immediate relief and surgical intervention for acute dental pain and impactions.

I love that they’re open seven days a week and can easily accommodate same-day extraction procedures for urgent situations. During my visit, I truly appreciated that they accept walk-in patients.

On the downside, because they operate on a priority-based triage system, you might face unpredictable wait times depending on the severity of other patients’ conditions.

Despite this, they remain a solid option when you need rapid intervention for severe oral infections or trauma.

Pros

  • Open daily
  • Same-day extraction procedures
  • Accepts walk-in patients
  • Experienced in managing severe oral infections

Cons

  • Priority-based triage system
  • Unpredictable wait times

Incredibly sweet and helpful

Thank goodness for the staff here! My boyfriend had some incredibly painful wisdom teeth issues, and the staff were able to get us in on barely any notice, we’re incredibly sweet and helpful, and explained everything in a way that made sense. The quote they gave us was so much less than I had thought.

12 days out from wisdom teeth removal on my right side and almost feel completely back to normal! I put off getting them removed until I couldn’t take it anymore, and they were able to get me in 2 hours after I called. Everyone was helpful, kind and a special shoutout to Shy and Dr. Huetther for taking great care of me. Highly recommend!

Hours: Tuesday, 8:30 AM–5 PM; Wednesday and Thursday, 8 AM–4 PM; Friday, 8 AM–5 PM; Monday, 8:30 AM–6 PM

For young adults referred by a general dentist, continuity of care is often a top priority when choosing a specialist.

Cherry Creek Oral Surgery & Dental Implants emphasizes a collaborative care model, working closely with your referring dentist to optimize surgical outcomes and maintain long-term oral health.

Their procedures are performed by specialists with board certification in oral and maxillofacial surgery, ensuring you are in capable hands.

Patient safety is a major focus here. I liked that they employ strict sterilization standards, and their clinical staff is certified to assist in surgeries.

The main drawback is that their office is closed entirely over the weekend, limiting flexibility for working professionals.

Pros

  • Procedures performed by board-certified specialists
  • Tailored anesthesia and sedation protocols
  • Strict modern sterilization standards
  • Clinical staff hold specific surgical certifications

Cons

  • Closed on weekends

Great experience

I went to Cherry Creek Oral Surgery for my wisdom teeth extraction and genuinely had a great experience. The entire team took such good care of me and answered all of my questions and concerns. Dr. Nesiba was a fantastic oral surgeon. I have had minimal post op pain and the team went above and beyond for post op care and communication. I was so anxious and worried before the consultation appointment and they helped so much with that and made me feel so much better going into the actual surgery.

Outstanding job

Had nothing but great experiences with all the staff. I was scheduled quick for extraction of all four wisdom teeth and the process was simple, easy to understand, professional, and timely. Dr. Nesiba did an outstanding job and my recovery was swift and with very little pain.

A friend of mine recently needed a highly complex extraction and was incredibly relieved by the advanced approach taken by Denver Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

This practice focuses on utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical equipment to minimize tissue trauma and accelerate the overall healing process.

Their practitioners are highly experienced in managing complex anatomical challenges. I appreciate how they provide advanced imaging to assess the exact position of impacted teeth.

To ensure your comfort, they provide comprehensive pain management protocols that are carefully tailored to your specific procedure.

They also maintain rigorous clinical standards to proactively manage and prevent any surgical site infections.

Just keep in mind that the clinic closes at noon on Fridays, which heavily restricts their availability for end-of-week consultations or urgent procedures.

Pros

  • Advanced diagnostic imaging
  • Expertise in complex anatomical challenges
  • Comprehensive pain management protocols
  • High clinical infection standards

Cons

  • Closes early at noon on Fridays
  • Limited availability for end-of-week procedures

Highly recommended

Dr Schacht and his staff were kind, respectful, patient and thorough in explaining my planned procedure and options. I have highly recommended this practice after bringing my daughter in for wisdom teeth removal last year and am having a good experience myself. Thank you for your professionalism and kindness! We all need dentists like you!

Definitely recommend

I just had 3 wisdom teeth removed and overall it was a great experience. Pre and post op instructions were very clear, and I’m currently at day 3 after the procedure and feel great. I would definitely recommend Dr. Schacht and this office if you’re in need of any services they provide!

5. Nelson & Wells Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Website: http://www.oralsurgerydenver.com/

Address: 6850 E Hampden Ave #202

Contact: (303) 758-6850

Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Saturday – Sunday: Closed

Dealing with dental anxiety is incredibly common, especially when facing procedures like removing fully encased impacted teeth.

Luckily, Nelson & Wells Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery has a comprehensive sedation option for their surgeries.

I also like their specialized facility equipped specifically for outpatient oral procedures. With this, they can systematically manage the entire surgical process, from straightforward extractions to severe bony impactions.

As for their process, they conduct thorough pre-operative consultations to clearly explain the surgical risks and realistic expectations before any work begins.

You’ll then have access to deep sedation and general anesthesia administered by formally trained specialists.

One notable limitation, however, is their lack of after-hours and weekend availability for routine procedures or initial assessments.

Pros

  • Offers deep sedation and general anesthesia
  • Manages straightforward to severe bony impactions
  • Thorough pre-operative consultations
  • Specialized facility for outpatient oral procedures

Cons

  • No after-hours availability
  • No assessments on weekends

Stellar experience

My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Wells last week.  We had a stellar experience several years ago with Dr. Nelson who removed my older daughter’s wisdom teeth and I was a little worried that Dr Wells might not be as kind or as experienced as Dr Nelson.  I am happy to report I was wrong!  Dr Wells was kind, knowledgeable and gentle with my 17-year-old daughter and the extraction was carried out painlessly.  She experienced no bruising and very little swelling and took only ibuprofen after the procedure.  We highly recommend Dr Wells (and Dr Nelson) and his team.  Thanks for taking such good care of our family!

Very kind and welcoming

From start to finish, our experience with Dr. Wells and his team was outstanding. My partner recently had all four wisdom teeth removed, and we couldn’t have asked for better care. Dr. Wells was incredibly professional, thorough in explaining the procedure, and immediately put both of us at ease. His assistant, Katerina, was so kind and amazing at her job! The front desk staff was also wonderful—very kind and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone!
