Stepping into Spice Room, you’re immediately surrounded by the intoxicating aromas of toasted cumin and simmering tomatoes. This restaurant focuses heavily on homestyle recipes and fresh ingredients to deliver authentic regional dishes from across the subcontinent.
After grabbing drinks at one of the best breweries in Denver, my friends and I stopped by for dinner. The generous portion sizes easily fed our whole table, allowing us to sample a massive variety of rich sauces and fluffy rice.
I highly recommend digging into their robust selection of traditional street food, as each bite packs a surprisingly complex punch. They also cater wonderfully to different dietary needs, offering dedicated vegan and dairy-free options upon request.
Families will appreciate the dedicated kids’ menu for younger palates, too.
Just keep in mind that the dining room can become quite noisy during peak dinner service. You might need to speak up to be heard over the bustling crowd.
Customer Reviews:
Found this place on Google, and the reviews were spot on. Arguably the BEST Indian food I’ve ever had. It’s hard to find somewhere that actually makes spicy dishes, and the food I had was RIPPING hot 🔥 Was served papadum with classic chaat chutneys upon sitting, which was delicious. I ordered the CHILLE with chicken which was very spicy and flavorful, and the non chicken wings. I thought the main dish was hot, but after eating the chicken wings I was eating the main dish to “cool down”. 11/10, huge portions, great service, I will be back!

I really enjoyed the food, especially the vegetarian options, which were flavorful and well prepared. The chicken dishes, however, didn’t quite meet the same standard and could use some improvement. The servers were very friendly and clearly put a lot of effort into making the dining experience pleasant.

Craving something that pushes beyond the usual neighborhood offerings? Spice Kitchen Denver provides just the kick I need. They brilliantly pair classic curries with specialized Nepalese dishes like steamed momos and comforting thukpa.
You’ll instantly notice the tender quality of their meat dishes, which are prepared carefully in a traditional tandoor clay oven. They also offer a wide array of vegetarian and vegan specialties to accommodate everyone at the table.
Diners can easily customize their spice levels to ensure every bite hits the perfect heat threshold.
Plus, the casual and welcoming atmosphere makes it highly suitable for quick lunches or relaxed dinners.
However, navigating the menu requires a bit of caution for those with specific dietary restrictions. Certain dishes use a hint of soy sauce. You must ask the staff for guidance if you have a strict soy allergy.
Customer Reviews:
Loved our first meal at Spice Kitchen and can’t wait to come back. We tried the malai chicken, the chicken tikka masala, and some garlic naan. It all felt really fresh and healthy – not heavy at all! Looking forward to coming back and trying more. Very friendly owners and staff. Happy to have them in the neighborhood!

Address: 727 Colorado Blvd C, Denver, CO 80206, USA
Contact: +1 303-331-8220
Hours: Mon-Sun 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM
India Express Denver delivers a comforting family-eatery atmosphere while serving bright, freshly prepared traditional dishes that have been a local staple since 2005. You can taste the deep, roasted flavors in every spoonful of their hard-to-find regional specialties, such as the tangy pickled achari.
The restaurant also offers an excellent selection of vegan and gluten-free choices to keep everyone satisfied.
We give them plus points for the fact that they’re wonderfully dog-friendly, offering designated outdoor seating where you can enjoy your meal with your furry companion.
Their on-site free parking also provides a massive advantage in this busy part of town.
One downside we noted, though, is that the high volume of carryout orders often leads to a bustling environment. The constant foot traffic inside the dining room can sometimes interrupt a slow, peaceful meal.
Customer Reviews:
Food was really good and full of flavors! We got a hot butter chicken (when they say spicy, it’s spiiiicy) and mild chicken tikka masala! The garlic butter naan goes so well with the food! As someone who grew up in a diverse food scene in LA, i was super impressed to find really good indian food in Denver! ☺️ 10/10 would come back again.

If you enjoy spicy food, this place is definitely worth a try. We ordered the biryani and chicken korma, both of which packed a good amount of heat. We visited on a Monday, so it was fairly quiet, and it seemed like many customers prefer takeout rather than dining in.

Their highly regarded table service ensures your water glass never stays empty for long.
Just remember that the restaurant is closed on Mondays, which limits your early-week dining plans.

This may be a smaller location, but you know what they say: some of the best meals come from the smallest restaurants. I had the Lamb Vindaloo, and it was absolutely incredible. The flavors were bold, rich, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat.
The staff was down-to-earth, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience even better. It’s a fun, flavorful spot that definitely deserves more attention. I’ll absolutely be referring my family and friends to come try it for themselves!

Made reservations and went with family after a graduation.
They were able to sit all 10 of us together. Excellent service and a nice relaxed atmosphere. The food was great, we shared some plates and appetizers including some really delicious samosas. I had the Tibetan shrimp noodles, it was terrific. Highly recommend.

Best Indian place around! The service was amazing—super attentive and friendly. Even though we’re from a different culture, they were very open to making our dishes without any spice, which was AMAZING. 100% recommended! We’re from Houston, but we’ll definitely be back every time we visit Denver! ! The cheese naan is a must-try! And anything made with Makhani sauce is amazing.
