Hours: 24 Hours

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Denver Downtown immediately stands out as a vibrant downtown stay. It combines a playful, pop-culture-inspired atmosphere with the scale and polish expected from a major event hotel.

Recently renovated, it offers more than 27,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. It also has a restaurant designed around generous, shareable portions that suit both casual dining and group gatherings.

When we stayed here for a marketing summit, the energetic common areas made networking feel natural and easy.

The signature warm cookie on arrival reinforces that classic Hilton hospitality, but in a setting that feels more modern and lively than traditional.

That said, the strong focus on conventions and gatherings can lead to higher foot traffic at times, which can result in noticeable noise in shared spaces.

Still, it works well as a central hub for staying close to the city’s main action.

Pros

  • Multiple uniquely configured meeting rooms
  • Family-sized dining portions for sharing
  • Substantial event and gathering capacity
  • Dedicated spaces for professional networking

Cons

  • Heavy emphasis on large-scale events
  • Higher foot traffic and noise levels

Finding an affordable yet stylish stay in downtown Denver is easy at Hostel Fish, located in the historic Airedale building.

The property blends shared dorm-style rooms with private suites. This gives travelers flexibility to match both budget and comfort preferences.

Many guests also appreciate the art-forward interior design, which gives the space a more curated feel than a typical hostel.

We like that it’s designed with social travel in mind. Communal areas and in-room kitchen facilities make it easy to meet other guests while still having practical amenities for longer stays.

The on-site bar and restaurant downstairs also let you unwind without leaving the building after a full day of sightseeing.

On the flip side, the inclusion of shared dormitory-style rooms means budget-conscious guests must share living and sleeping quarters with strangers.

Even so, it remains a top choice for those who value community and aesthetic charm over complete seclusion.

Pros

  • Mix of communal and private suites
  • Convenient 24-hour front desk
  • On-site bar and lounge area
  • Dedicated on-site restaurant

Cons

  • Shared dormitories with strangers

Address: 857 N Grant St, Denver, CO 80203

Hours: 24 Hours

Tucked right into the heart of the city within a stunning historic mansion, Ember Hostel makes connecting with fellow adventurers feel incredibly natural.

It operates as a centrally located shared accommodation. It actively facilitates guest interactions through regular social events, such as their popular organized movie nights and backyard fire-pit gatherings.

We swung by during one of their Monday gatherings. The warm, communal atmosphere was instantly apparent to everyone in attendance.

A 24-hour front desk also adds convenience, especially when exploring the nearby Capitol Hill area or looking for local dining recommendations.

However, the frequent scheduling of routine social gatherings, such as movie nights, may create noticeable noise and disruption in communal spaces during late evening hours.

For those looking to settle down permanently in the city, nearby apartments in Denver may offer a more peaceful alternative.

Pros

  • Central Grant Street location
  • Routine organized social activities
  • Dedicated front desk assistance
  • Communal guest event areas

Cons

  • Noise from routine evening gatherings

The establishment was well kept and clean

My very first time staying at a hostel and thankfully overall it was a great experience. The Hostel Manager (Leon) as well as the staff that I can remember Ricky, Ethan, & Lakshay were extremely welcoming, warm, & down to earth people. The establishment was well kept and clean. The outdoor area was nice with a 24hr fire pit going as well as a jacuzzi open until late night. If I’m ever back in Denver I’m staying here. Highly recommend!

Top notch hostel experience in Denver

If you’re looking for a top notch hostel experience in Denver then look no further than Ember. The house is clean, the service is exceptional, and the location is central.

A tea station, full kitchen, laundry, plenty of bathrooms and privacy curtains for the bunks were all amenities I used frequently. After staying at many hostels of the years this is by far the best.

Hours: 24 Hours

Business travelers seeking a quiet and productive environment will find a reliable haven at Courtyard by Marriott.

This contemporary property offers a smoke-free environment with modern rooms designed around comfort and efficiency. Work-friendly layouts, flexible desk space, and ample outlets make it easy to stay focused during busy schedules.

Plus, they maintain a strict 21-and-over age policy for check-in. This ensures a notably mature and relaxed environment throughout the hallways and lobby.

We also like the added convenience of the on-site bistro, which serves breakfast and dinner and helps streamline tight travel days.

The rooms themselves are also built with productivity in mind. They feature ergonomic seating and thoughtful layouts that support longer work sessions.

Just keep in mind that the property has only one on-site restaurant, so dining options are understandably limited if you prefer variety within the hotel.

Pros

  • 100% smoke-free facility
  • On-site Bistro serving meals
  • Flexible in-room workspaces
  • Strict 21-and-over age policy

Cons

  • Only one on-site restaurant

I received excellent service checking in at midnight

You know what. Imma throw a 5 star review at this hotel. Not because it’s awesome… it’s just a reasonable hotel. But because I received excellent service checking in at midnight, after being treated like trash at another Marriott property nearby. Britney picked up on my surly vibes and took steps to rectify the wrongs that had been wrought upon me by what is advertised as an upmarket Marriott brand.

So – thanks Britney. They’re lucky to have you!

The location and price is a much better deal than the tech center

This is my second time staying here.  The location and price is a much better deal than the tech center imo. I had a really messy reservation from a rushed trip that was a headache for the front desk but they all worked with me.  The supervisor Tre was very understanding and patient with my complicated reservation and discount which they helped me sort out and honored.  The restaraunt in the lobby is also solid for the price.  Will return

5. 11th Avenue Hostel

Website: https://www.11thavenuehostel.com

Address: 1112 N. Broadway, Denver, CO 80203

Contact: 303.894.0529, [email protected]

Hours: 24 Hours

The Hostel at 11th Avenue offers a combination of private rooms and shared accommodations in the heart of the Golden Triangle Creative District.

The property balances its heritage character with modern conveniences, including communal kitchens and quiet lounge areas. There’s even a library-style space that suits both short-term travelers and digital nomads.

We like how flexible the room options are. Solo backpackers, small groups, and longer-term guests can all find something suitable. The shared areas also encourage a social, community-driven atmosphere.

It’s also a plus that there’s an on-site café for quick mornings. Grabbing coffee before heading to nearby museums is easy and convenient.

That said, using the shared dormitory rooms and community kitchens requires guests to share living and cooking quarters with others. This may not suit travelers who prefer more seclusion.

Even so, the mix of affordability, central location, and historic charm makes it a memorable base for exploring the city.

Pros

  • Fully renovated historic building
  • Diverse range of accommodations
  • Extensive communal kitchen and library
  • Accessible on-site cafe

Cons

  • Shared living and cooking quarters

I had a great experience at this hostel

i don’t have high expectations with hostels, i do realize the affordability with the hostel world. chris at the front desk was very receptive, kind, & patient: i had a nice great experience at this hostel. bus routes around the corner and access to local shops, book stores, coffee shops, and restaurants in capital hill. the aesthetic and atmosphere in the hostel is fantastic. loved the art mushroom 🍄 in the main lobby.

The bed is comfortable, the room is clean

Perfect and affordable. Nice staff, especially Cristobal! The night shift guy was nice, too. The bed is comfortable, the room is clean. The set up with a bathroom outside of the room is inconvenient but it’s what keeps cost down, and honestly it’s never too much trouble. Central location and nicely decorated. Would definitely come back.
