The Best Cat Boarding in Denver for a Stress-Free Stay

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Facility Safety and Hygiene: A clean, hygienic environment is essential for preventing illness and keeping cats comfortable during their stay. We prioritized facilities with spotless private suites and carefully maintained climate control systems.

Staff Expertise and Supervision: Proper training and supervision are crucial when caring for anxious cats over extended stays. We looked for teams with strong experience, especially those with pet first aid certification and a hands-on approach to monitoring.

Enrichment and Comfort Amenities: Cats need mental stimulation and safe, cozy spaces to stay relaxed while away from home. Facilities that offer features like window views, play opportunities, and daily cuddle sessions ranked higher in our evaluation.

Communication and Pricing Transparency: Owners need consistent updates from staff to feel truly confident about their pet's ongoing well-being. We favored businesses that offered live-streaming webcams and clear pricing structures without hidden service fees.

Customization and Specialization: Since every cat has a unique personality and routine, we preferred facilities that avoid a one-size-fits-all approach. Stronger options included cat-only spaces and the ability to customize feeding schedules or care preferences.

Leaving a feline friend behind on a trip can feel stressful, especially when you’re trying to ensure they stay safe, comfortable, and well cared for. That is why finding the right cat boarding in Denver is so important when planning time away.

And it comes at a time when travel itself is already a lot to manage, from coordinating plans to handling last-minute tasks that tend to pile up quickly. It’s the same reason people sometimes turn to extra help in other areas, such as housecleaning services.

The best cat boarding facilities in Denver take that stress off the table by understanding feline routines, personalities, and quirks.

To help narrow down your choices, we have explored local spots that prioritize comfort, safety, and calm environments. These are the places that let you travel with real peace of mind.

Catching an early flight out of Denver International Airport can already feel stressful, and Club Pet Resorts DIA is designed to remove at least one layer of that pressure.

They offer 24/7 pick-up and drop-off at no additional charge. This makes travel schedules much easier to manage, especially for early departures or late returns.

They also house felines in a beautifully dedicated private wing entirely separate from the dogs.

During my recent weekend trip, I loved checking the live webcams to see my cat eagerly enjoying the views of her private suite’s fish tank.

The attentive staff here holds professional certifications in pet first aid. This definitely helps ease any lingering anxiety about leaving your furry family member in someone else’s hands.

Just be sure to closely review your final invoice before heading home. A few past clients have unfortunately encountered confusing billing inaccuracies and duplicate charges that required extra clarification from management.

Pros

  • Dedicated cat-only boarding wing
  • Spacious suites with fish tank views
  • 24/7 drop-off and pick-up access
  • Live webcam access for remote monitoring
  • Convenient location near DIA

Cons

  • Reported billing inaccuracies and errors
  • Limited responsiveness to phone inquiries

2. Evergreen Cat Lodge

Website: https://www.evergreencatlodge.com/

Address: 32163 Soda Creek Dr, Evergreen, CO 80439

Contact: (303) 679-1245

Hours: By appointment only (Drop-offs and pick-ups between:  8:30AM and 6:30PM, 7-days a week)

A boarding environment without barking dogs can make a major difference for anxious cats, and Evergreen Cat Lodge is built specifically for that need.

This cats-only facility removes all canine exposure to create a calmer and more predictable setting for feline guests.

Cats stay in spacious private suites instead of standard cages. The rooms feel closer to a quiet home environment, and soft background music helps maintain a relaxed atmosphere.

The lodge is owner-operated, and caretakers live on-site, which allows for consistent supervision throughout the day and night. Staff also follow each cat’s normal feeding routine closely to reduce stress and support an easier transition.

Keep in mind that their strict appointment-only scheduling system can be a noticeable downside. This rigid requirement severely limits your overall flexibility if you suddenly need to arrange a last-minute drop-off.

Pros

  • Specialized cats-only facility
  • Private suites instead of standard cages
  • Owners live on-site for constant supervision
  • Customized feeding and care routines
  • Webcam access for remote monitoring

Cons

  • Appointment-only system limits scheduling flexibility
  • Zero physical interaction with other boarded cats

The whole team loves cats so much

My husband and I are very particular with our cats. They’re basically our children! We absolutely love leaving them at Evergreen Cat Lodge and trust the team completely. The whole team loves cats so much and it shows. They care for your cat as you would treat your cat at home. The rooms are large and comfortable and the VIP rooms have cameras so that you can check in while you’re gone. We will always board our cats here because it doesn’t feel like boarding, it’s home away from home.

So grateful we found this place!

We’ve tried several boarding options over the years, and our cats have hated every single one—until Evergreen Cat Lodge. They’ve never done well with pet sitters either, but here they seem completely at ease. The staff are incredible and clearly care deeply about the cats in their care. We never worry when we leave them because we know they’re in such good hands. We also love having 24/7 camera access to their room—it’s such a comfort to check in and see them lounging happily. So grateful we found this place!

Address: 24735 E 75th Ave, Denver, CO 80249

Contact: (888) 924-5463

Hours: Available 24/7

Wag Hotels operates 24/7 every single day of the year, providing premium private cat condos just a few short minutes from the busy airport. This makes them a reliable option for busy clients with irregular travel schedules.

They significantly upgrade the standard boarding experience by routinely including complimentary cuddle time and structured daily care routines. The setup is designed to feel more engaging than traditional boarding, especially for longer visits.

A close friend who boarded their senior cat here shared strong praise for the continuous overnight supervision and the spacious, climate-controlled bi-level condos.

That level of monitoring from trained staff can provide added reassurance, particularly for older pets that need closer attention.

However, you might want to specifically ask about their daily cleaning protocols before booking a longer stay. Several visitors have noticed a distinct kennel odor in the building and have occasionally struggled to view their pets on the webcams.

Pros

  • Operations run 24/7 all year
  • Prime location near the airport
  • Climate-controlled bi-level cat condos
  • Included enrichment and daily cuddle time
  • All-in-one boarding and grooming facility

Cons

  • Reported kennel odors in the facility
  • Inconsistent visibility on the live webcams

Honestly answer our questions and concerns

We went to the Denver Paradise 4 Paws location to check out the cat area. The manager was there to show us the place and honestly answer our questions and concerns. We ended up boarding our cat for almost 5 days. She was apprehensive at first, but by the end of the trip, she was great and let others pet her. We were very pleased with the service and would definitely board her there again!

Cat looked great and may even have gained a few ounces

This is one of the few places to take both cats and dogs, and we liked it so much I’d consider using them even if a flight weren’t involved. Our dog is experienced with boarding but the cat isn’t, and I’d have known right away if he’d had a bad experience because his coat would have been scruffy and he’d have lost weight. But he looked great and may even have gained a few ounces.

Address: 11440 W. 44th Ave Wheat Ridge CO 80033

Contact: 303-422-2055

Hours: Mon-Fri 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Sat 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Sun 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Managing multiple pet appointments across town can quickly eat up an entire weekend, especially right before a big family trip. Best Friends Pet Hotel helps simplify that process.

They combine boarding and grooming services in one place, so everything can be handled under a single visit.

Cats are securely housed in a beautifully dedicated area called “Kitty City,” which features relaxing crate-free options and comfortable soft bedding.

Their thoroughly modern approach even extends to the booking process. You can easily schedule overnight stays and specific add-on activities through a convenient mobile app.

The professionally trained staff also focuses heavily on maintaining stringent safety protocols while thoughtfully executing customized play routines tailored for each individual animal.

You should definitely consider bringing your own familiar toys and blankets, though. Some owners told us that the cat enclosures lack sufficient enrichment items and occasionally feel a bit too chilly.

Pros

  • Comprehensive all-in-one pet care facility
  • Dedicated “Kitty City” area for felines
  • Digital booking via a mobile app
  • Optional add-on activities for customization
  • Professionally trained pet care staff

Cons

  • Limited enrichment items within enclosures
  • Potential temperature control issues in cat areas

The boarding space for cats is quiet

They took excellent care of our cat while we were out of town. The boarding space for cats is quiet, and the caretakers were able to expand our pet’s boarding space since it wasn’t too busy that week. Huge thanks to the staff for using the Rx food and the sensitive-paws litter we brought with our cat, too.

Very nice and took such good care of my cat

I had a great experience here! Everyone was very nice and took such good care of my cat, Jaca. I am moving from Texas to Colorado and needed last-minute cat boarding, and they were so accommodating. Loved the service and the peace of mind it gave me during a stressful time. I’ll definitely be using them again in the future!

So friendly

We bring Kygo here for a mix of both daycare & boarding a couple of times a month. The staff knows him by name and are always so friendly when we bring him in. Have been super accommodating also when last minute changes/needs come up. Will definitely continue to bring him here!
