1. Hostel Fish

Address: 1217 20th St
Contact: (303) 954-0962 | [email protected]
Hours: Check-In: 3:00PM | Check-Out: 11:00AM
Hostel Fish features uniquely decorated sleeping quarters with extensive art and travel memorabilia, setting a fantastic tone for your stay. You even have the option to choose dedicated, women-only bunkrooms for added peace of mind.
During my stay here, I loved taking advantage of the fully operational bar directly on the premises that offers highly competitive drink pricing.
The management also coordinates organized nightlife tours to help residents easily socialize with other international backpackers.
However, the property strictly prohibits Denver locals from booking a shared room and requires proof of onward travel.
Also, severe cancellation penalties apply if you fail to modify your reservation early, potentially leaving you responsible for the entire booked duration.

Lively spot in downtown. Close to union station. Bikeable spot. Very clean for a heavily trafficked hostel. The staff is super friendly and helpful and some of them cook!
I used headphones to fall asleep on a Saturday night because it is sitting on top of a loud bar and the people yell in the streets and the cars rev their engines.
I loved it. It grew on me. The art is cool and the globe room worked as a gym *and* a chill spot to escape the crowd.
Clean. I went barefoot in the shower nbd

2. Modern Midstay

Website: modernmidstay.com
Address: 1660 Gaylord St
Contact: 720-722-1380
Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00AM–5:00PM
Relocating professionals frequently struggle to find temporary housing that feels comfortable and inviting rather than sterile. This company changes the narrative.
Modern Midstay specializes in taking century-old buildings and fully restoring them to maintain their original charm while offering modern comforts.
They even have an in-house local renovation and design team that carefully curates the interiors so the spaces feel cohesive and stylish.
The dedicated local hosting team prioritizes a personalized touch, aiming to treat guests exactly how they would want to be treated.
They specifically cater to mid-term renters by offering leases anywhere from one to twelve months, providing an ideal solution for remote workers seeking well-designed apartments.
While the restored architecture is stunning, the exclusive focus on older buildings means you won’t have access to typical modern amenities like on-site gyms.
The business also enforces a strict minimum stay requirement, making it impossible to accommodate weekend travelers or anyone needing lodging for less than a full month.
Customer Reviews
I stayed in this adorable unit for about 9 months and truly could not have found a more ideal place! It’s in a great neighborhood — right by City Park and within walking distance to multiple coffee shops, bakeries, a bookstore, and a local movie theater (not to mention the farmer’s market in the summer and fall) — but it’s also the perfect apartment to just curl up in and watch snow fall out the bay window in the living room. Ben and the team were super responsive to any requests or issues I had (of which there were very few).

I would definitely book with Ben again. The room is exactly as pictured, including all the mentioned amenities and more than I expected. The best part was that the park is just one block away and the area is very safe. Communication was always prompt and instructions were very clear.

3. Kasa Union Station Denver

Website: kasa.com
Address: 1750 Little Raven Street
Contact: (650) 451-3444 | [email protected]
Hours: Check-In: 4:00PM | Check-Out: 11:00AM | Guest Experience Team: Available 24/7
Tech-savvy individuals appreciate streamlined accommodations that eliminate tedious lobby queues and unnecessary paperwork. This is where Kasa shines.
The property relies heavily on smart technology to provide automated check-ins and round-the-clock digital support.
They replace the traditional check-in process with an entirely digital experience, allowing you to manage your stay and room access directly from a mobile device.
Plus, to ensure safety, all guests must pass a comprehensive digital screening process that includes submitting a virtual identification (ID) check prior to arrival.
Despite the modern conveniences, guests arriving before check-in can’t leave their bags on-site, which can be highly inconvenient for those with awkward flight times.
You’ll also need to pay an additional out-of-pocket fee every time you request housekeeping services, unlike standard hotels that provide daily room refreshes.
Customer Reviews
I stayed at Kasa Union Station with my wife while I attended a conference and it was a great experience. It’s not a traditional hotel—I’ve seen some reviews where folks were frustrated by the lack of an in-person concierge. We didn’t have major issues while we stayed there, so I’m not sure how that would have played out. My wife worked from the room while I went to the conference and found the experience very comfortable. Parking was easy with the garage pass—there is street parking but it’s costly and not worth it.

4. Sentral Union Station

Website: sentral.com
Address: 1777 Wewatta Street
Contact: (855) 729-5682
Hours: Check-In: 4:00PM | Check-Out: 11:00AM
Sentral Union Station offers a financial advantage by partnering with Airbnb, allowing approved residents to rent out their homes and earn income while traveling.
For stays beyond a month, they provide fully designed, move-in-ready units that eliminate utility setup hassles. There are even extensive coworking spaces designed to foster focus.
Residents also enjoy daily convenience thanks to a premier organic grocery store and a major pharmacy located directly within the building complex.
We love that you can avoid rigid commitments by opting for highly customizable lease durations that suit your timeline. But note that extended stays come with a rigid penalty window.
Finalized changes are required nearly a full month before arrival to avoid financial consequences. Securing a reservation also demands a significant upfront deposit, tying up a large percentage of your funds right at booking.
Customer Reviews
If you are thinking about booking, do it. Across the street from Union Station and we didn’t have to get a rental which saved a ton of money. Take the train to and from the airport, walk around downtown and uber if you have to go further. The whole foods downstairs is very convenient. We felt like we were staying in a luxury apartment rather than a hotel. No room service during your stay, but concierge downstairs is available 24/7. Check in took 2 minutes.

Address: 1055 Logan St #108
Contact: 303-837-0468 | Fax: 303-837-1859 | [email protected]

The Denver House earned city recognition for outstanding sustainability, which means that staying here ensures you live in an officially certified green building.
Walking through the doors provides a unique architectural experience as well. The interior preserves the elegant design elements of the Molly Brown Era.
The location offers a highly equipped recreational space that goes well beyond standard lounges, featuring interactive games and a full community kitchen.
You can easily access premium wellness amenities and resort-style health options directly on the premises for immediate relaxation.
While the included utilities add significant value, you have to coordinate and pay for your own electricity separately from the rest of the included bills.
Residents also lack the privacy of in-unit laundry, relying instead on shared communal machines located on each floor.
Customer Reviews
Hands down the best place I’ve ever lived, and I say this as someone who worked for several years in property management (so-called Luxury Apartments). For a building that’s as old as it is, not only is it kept in near pristine condition it’s the ownership’s only property/has been for decades that has major upside in today’s rental market.
