1. THE Athletic Club

Website: https://theathleticclub.com/
Address: 1849 Curtis Street
Contact: 303-214-4312
Hours: Mon-Thu: 5:00 AM – 10:00 PM; Fri: 5:00 AM – 8:00 PM; Sat: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Sun: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pushing your body to the limit requires an equally serious approach to cooling down, and this where THE Athletic Club truly shines.
They deliberately merge high-end fitness with robust recovery options all under one roof. You can hit the weights hard and immediately transition into their specialized recovery protocols without ever leaving the building.
Overall, it’s a fantastic setup for downtown professionals who want to maximize their lunch break or early morning routine.
I dropped by for a morning session recently and was thoroughly impressed by how smoothly you can move from a grueling lift to their dedicated recovery zone.
Just keep in mind that their weekend hours are slightly restricted. They close their doors at 6 PM on Saturday and 5 PM on Sunday, which might cramp your style if you prefer working out late on weekends.
Customer Reviews:
Offers for all types of workouts along with so many amenities.
Wow! This gym is top notch! Love how much it offers for all types of workouts along with so many amenities but I love the structure and layout. It doesn’t feel like a overwhelming facility but it is so big at the same time. Staff is so welcoming and friendly. Love working out here!!

Corporate employees working in the business district often struggle to find a convenient place to sweat between meetings. Thankfully, Club Form Denver sits directly on 17th Street, offering an incredibly accessible workout spot right where you need it most.
One of the most refreshing aspects of this facility is the ability to text the owner directly for immediate support. You bypass the frustrating corporate phone trees entirely and get straight to a real person.
Finding the front door for the first time can be slightly confusing, though, as it’s tucked behind other buildings and local shops.
Once you locate the entrance near the local coffee shop, you’ll appreciate the quick access to the connected smoothie bar for post-workout nutrition.
Customer Reviews:
I was very lucky to stumble across Club Form.
In town for a trial lawyer conference and wanted to workout at a facility a bit better than the hotel gym. I was very lucky to stumble across Club Form. The staff was very accommodating and the equipment was fantastic. A perfect combo of old school workout machines and also the latest. If you are in Denver and are looking for a spot to workout, I highly recommend Club Form!

This place is so cozy & happy (and clean!)
I love this gym so much! The equipment they have is great and it just has such good vibes. I looked at another gym in the area that was really depressing and run-down looking, but this place is so cozy & happy (and clean!) and I love escaping the drudgery of the day here. Also, all types of fitness levels here so you never feel out of place. The prepaid plan they have going on now is such a steal too. This is my happy place and I’m in love. <3

3. Denver Gym & Fitness

Website: http://www.denvergymandfitness.com/
Address: 636 S Broadway
Contact: (720) 249-4896 | [email protected]
Hours: Mon-Thu: 5:00 AM – 9:00 PM; Fri: 5:00 AM–8:00 PM; Sat-Sun: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Stepping into a massive commercial weight room can feel daunting if you’re just starting to build healthier habits. Denver Gym & Fitness strips away that pressure by cultivating a welcoming, community-driven environment tailored to local residents.
Located right on South Broadway, this spot focuses heavily on making newcomers and seasoned lifters feel equally comfortable. You can easily get a solid pump without dealing with the usual hardcore posturing found elsewhere.
A friend of mine who recently started weight training raves about how unintimidating the morning crowd is here. The main downside is their slightly shorter evening schedule during the workweek.
Closing at nine or eight means night shift workers might have to look elsewhere for a late lifting session.
Customer Reviews:
By far the cleanest gym in town.
Been going here for a year now, after trying a ton of other locations. By far the cleanest gym in town. A bit small, but never so busy that I can’t get onto at least something productive. Friendly staff, solid culture of cleanliness and respect from the gym-goers too.

The gym is clean with friendly staff.
Excellent gym with a good selection of machines, free weights, and just space to stretch. The gym is clean with friendly staff. I’ve been coming about 5 months and using Rob for my personal trainer. He has helped me push through self confidence issues and set different lifting programs for me as I’ve gotten stronger. Recently we’ve switched things up to harder lifts so I can focus on my own goals. If you’re considering the gym or having a personal trainer, I’d definitely recommend DG&F and Rob.

4. The Denver Athletic Club

Website: https://www.denverathleticclub.cc/
Address: 1325 Glenarm Pl.
Contact: (303) 534-1211
Hours: Available 24/7
Busy executives looking for a comprehensive lifestyle hub will find a lot to love at this historic, 130-year-old institution.
The Denver Athletic Club goes far beyond standard cardio equipment by integrating upscale amenities and robust social programming. Members enjoy access to multi-use spaces and a working bowling alley.
If you prefer alternative workouts, you might also be exploring local Pilates studios, but having an immense variety under one roof is highly convenient.
After a grueling session, winding down in well-maintained saunas can drastically improve your recovery time.
The major hurdle here is the strict onboarding process required to join. You generally cannot drop in for a casual workout without committing to an exclusive membership first, which requires a significant upfront decision.
Customer Reviews:
The gym is top notch with top of the line equipment.
It shows its age in places, but the vast number of options and facilities choices can’t be touched anywhere in Denver. The gym is top notch with top of the line equipment, great pool, squash, work areas, social areas etc. Nothing else quite like it.

Healthy food, quiet and comfortable work spaces.
We were members here when we were little and came every Sunday with our closest family members. Now my sister is a member and it’s still such an amazing establishment. Healthy food, quiet and comfortable work spaces, affordable day care, spacious locker rooms, lots of amenities, and extremely friendly and helpful staff! If I lived in Denver, I’d definitely join.

5. LoHi Athletic Club

Website: http://www.lohiathleticclub.com/
Address: 2010 W 30th Ave
Contact: (303) 761-5644 | [email protected]
Hours: Mon-Thu: 6:00 AM–7:00 PM; Fri: 6:00 AM–6:00 PM; Sat-Sun: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM (Member Access: 24/7)
Fitting exercise into an unpredictable lifestyle is much easier when your facility never actually closes. LoHi Athletic Club provides true 24/7 access to its members, allowing for complete workout freedom in the highly desirable Lower Highlands district.
You can knock out your squats before dawn or hit the treadmills long after the sun goes down. The central neighborhood location also means you can skip the terrible rush hour commute entirely.
While members enjoy round-the-clock entry with a keycard, the staffed hours on the weekends are fairly brief.
If you’re a prospective member trying to get a tour or need guest services on a Sunday afternoon, you might find the front desk completely empty. Planning your initial visit during their consistent weekday hours is definitely the best approach.
Customer Reviews:
Friendly atmosphere and the best real gym.
Really enjoyed this gym! Going to be gone for a few months but will sign up again once I’m back. Enough equipment to workout whatever you want. Only crowded during peak hours but what gym isn’t. Friendly atmosphere and the best real gym in the Lohi / downtown area.
- Clayton Smith | Google Review
