This gives you total peace of mind while you enjoy a unique menu that mixes Eastern and Italian flavors. Some of their crowd favorites include the spicy Shawarma Pizza and the Classic Calzone.
I recently visited for lunch, and the Gyro Pizza was a wonderful and unexpected treat. Since this is both a restaurant and a bakery, you can also grab some fresh Baklava before you head home.
They close early at 8:00 PM on Sundays, though. Be sure to come early on that day to enjoy their diverse menu, which is perfect for big groups with different tastes. Overall, it’s a must-try spot for a meal that everyone will love.
The flavors are incredibly authentic
I’ve tried many places in Denver, including Serena, Kabul Halal, and several others, but this restaurant truly stands out. The flavors are incredibly authentic and the food is consistently delicious. Every dish felt fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care. Highly recommended for anyone craving real Afghan and Mediterranean cuisine. I will definitely be coming back!

On the other hand, the menu is so diverse that it can sometimes take a while for your food to be ready, especially during meal rush times.

AMAZING halal food
Definitely a must try. AMAZING halal food
Came here with my husband and I have to say the food AND service was great. The tikka masala phillycheese sandwich was really good! Have not had any thing like that before. We got the wings, pizza and masala fries too. All the proportions were amazing. The food took a while to come but it tasted great. Prices are pretty good too. The service is top notch. Both workers are so helpful and kind.

You can find the shop conveniently on the 16th Street Mall. The kitchen uses traditional methods to make fresh sides like creamy hummus and zesty tabouleh.
Their fast service model is ideal for grabbing a healthy meal on the go. They also shine by providing professional catering for large office lunches and corporate events across the city.
Just keep in mind that they do not offer a kids’ menu. Plus, you cannot buy individual sides online without adding a main entrée to your order. This place is still a wonderful spot for a high-quality lunch, though.
Friendly staff
Glad they were open.. and there. If you’re looking for Mediterranean/Halal near 16th Street Mall, the basketball arena or Colfax and the Capitol area .. this place is open late late. Friendly staff. I parked just in front nearly on the sidewalk near the parking garage entry. I ordered a Gyro LS.. the LS stands for Lunch Special. They sell it at night too! ✌️

The best halal I’ve ever tasted!
This restaurant has the best halal I’ve ever tasted! The pita, chicken and beef shawarma plates, falafel and baklava were better than any I’ve had in other cities. Their mango & strawberry smoothie is also really tasty. I will definitely be back and also plan to visit the University location. The service was fast and Jay and Asim were so nice and helpful! The restaurant was also clean and neat.

4. Shondiz Mediterranean Restaurant

Website: https://www.shondiz.com/
Address: 8000 E Quincy Ave, Unit 1000
Contact: (720) 541-7742 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday – Sunday: 11:00 AM – 8:30 PM
Shondiz Mediterranean Restaurant is a wonderful family-owned business that specializes in traditional Persian cuisine. They provide a 100% Halal guarantee for all their meat.
One of their most popular items is the Persian breakfast, which features savory gyro burritos. Recently, I tried their lamb platter and was impressed by how tender the meat was.
Their kiosk model is a plus, too, as it’s designed for speed, so you can get a high-quality meal even during lunch rush. On the downside, there’s no traditional waitstaff or indoor seating because the focus is on fast service.
You should also keep in mind that the breakfast menu is only served for a short window each morning.
Despite these small drawbacks, the food is authentic and incredibly flavorful here! It’s a great place for a quick and healthy bite.
The best Persian food
This is by far the best Persian food I have had ever. We ordered chicken and beef kabob combo. Both items were extremely flavorful and cooked to a perfection. Compared to several Persian restaurants I have tried in Texas and California, this has been the best. It’s hard to believe how they were able to cook both items so well. The serving size is fantastic. The humus and pita was great. Excellent service as well. Overall amazing experience. Highly highly recommend trying this if you’re looking for halal options in the area.

It was really delicious
The staff were very polite and kind. For those who care, the food was halal. We tried a dish named Shishlik and it was really delicious. The food came with a side, which you could choose among many options. They also offered us their Persian Barley Soup, which was also great. Their Dough drink was also homemade and tasted authentic.

5. Hayati Mediterranean Grill

Website: https://hayatimediterranean.com/
Address: 2958 N Downing St
Contact: (303) 900-0083 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday – Sunday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Hayati Mediterranean Grill is a wonderful neighborhood gem with a warm, friendly atmosphere. This family-run business serves 100% Halal meat and crafts every dish from scratch.
They use a unique blend of spices that makes their traditional Mediterranean food taste very authentic. They’re also known for serving huge portions that are worth every penny.
If you’re a foodie who loves spices, you’ll appreciate their house-made sauces, which are much better than the generic packets you find at local coffee shops.
Just be aware that some people find the meat a bit fatty at times, especially with the lamb shank. And though it’s a must-visit for fresh, hearty food that’s perfect for families, there’s no dedicated children’s menu.
The food is great
I’m from out of town. I pass through not even close to the restaurant but I make an effort to stop by. All I’ve gotten is the Chicken Shawarma sandwich. It’s so good. The decor of the place may surprise you. But the food is great. Halal

The best Halal in Denver by far. The customer service is impeccable, the staff is super nice and the food is delicious, once again proving that the spots considered “hole in the wall” are actually the places that deserve the most.
