The Best Drug and Alcohol Rehab Centers in Denver That Will Get You Back on Track

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Treatment Programs and Approaches: We looked for centers offering a strong mix of evidence-based therapies and flexible levels of care.  Facilities must provide comprehensive options like medical detox or cognitive behavioral therapy to support diverse recovery needs.

Licensing and Staff Qualifications: A safe environment requires highly trained professionals who hold proper credentials and state licenses.  We verified that the medical staff and counselors have proven experience in guiding patients through complex dependencies.

Insurance and Affordability: Healing shouldn’t be hindered by confusing financial barriers or hidden fees. We prioritized centers that accept various insurance plans and maintain transparent pricing structures for their patients.

Facility Environment: A nurturing atmosphere is crucial for maintaining focus during the early stages of recovery. We assessed the cleanliness and overall comfort of each location to ensure it promotes genuine healing.

Simply taking the first step toward recovery is incredibly brave, and you do not have to walk that path alone.

If you or a loved one is searching for the best drug and alcohol rehab centre in Denver, I understand how overwhelming the choices can feel. It’s normal to feel uncertain about where to begin when looking for a safe, compassionate space to heal.

My goal is to ease that burden by sharing some of the most supportive and effective facilities in the city. The right environment can make all the difference, and I’m here to help you navigate these important options gently and clearly.

How much does drug and alcohol rehab cost in Denver?

1. Mile High Recovery Center

mile-high-recovery-center

Website: https://milehighrecoverycenter.com/

Address: 1633 Fillmore St #212

Contact: (303) 872-5069

Hours: Open 24 hours

Mile High Recovery Center truly understands that recovery goes beyond the initial detox phase and requires ongoing, personalized guidance.

Because of that, they focus deeply on individualized care plans and transitional living support to help you reintegrate into the community safely.

They can even provide guidance to those facing legal issues, serving as a partner to DUI lawyers and other professionals.

They seamlessly weave mental health support directly into their addiction programs, and have gender-specific therapy groups and holistic art sessions, creating a wonderful sense of belonging.

A close friend of mine leaned on their transitional support program last year, and the compassionate staff made her feel completely seen during a very vulnerable time.

Their setup does have a downside. The facility leans heavily toward outpatient and transitional care, meaning it might not be the right fit if someone needs highly restrictive, long-term medical observation.

Still, for those ready to rebuild their daily routines, the community atmosphere here is incredibly grounding.

Pros

  • Gender-specific housing and therapy groups
  • Integrated mental health care
  • Regular social activities for community building
  • Holistic approaches like art therapy

Cons

  • Not ideal for long-term inpatient medical observation
  • Focus is primarily on outpatient and transitional care

I absolutely love Mile High Recovery Center. The team is truly caring, compassionate and ALWAYS available. I have worked in the treatment industry for a long time and there are only a handful of places I would leave a review like this. Address: 2535 S Downing St Suite 500

Contact: (303) 276-2467

Hours: Open 24 hours

If you’re looking for a highly supportive space to begin the detox process, Guardian Recovery specializes in medically supervised stabilization within a private, hospitality-inspired environment.

The atmosphere feels intentionally designed to reduce anxiety, featuring comfortable rooms that resemble a standard hotel rather than a clinical hospital ward.

We like that they employ trauma-informed clinical methods right from the start, ensuring you feel emotionally safe while your body begins to heal. They even begin discharge planning upon admission, so you’re never left wondering what happens next.

One drawback is that this premium short-term stabilization model often results in higher out-of-pocket costs compared to standard public programs.

Pros

  • Private, hotel-like room settings
  • Chef-prepared meals for physical recovery
  • Trauma-informed clinical methods
  • Immediate transition planning upon admission

Cons

  • Higher out-of-pocket costs
  • Premium short-term model

Address: 8805 W 14th Ave #200 Lakewood

Contact: (720) 928-2359

Hours: Daily, 6 AM–9 PM

Connecting with nature can be incredibly restorative. Red Rock Recovery Center integrates clinical therapies with outdoor adventure programming to promote both physical and mental healing.

They utilize the beautiful Colorado landscape as an active part of the treatment process, helping patients rebuild trust in themselves. Their living environment is highly structured, encouraging daily accountability.

We like that they also offer targeted treatments like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) alongside animal therapy to address trauma from multiple angles.

The main limitation here is the heavy emphasis on outdoor activities, which might not be suitable for individuals with significant physical mobility limitations.

If you thrive in the outdoors and appreciate customized treatment tracks, though, this facility provides a very dynamic and engaging way to work through the challenges of early sobriety.

Pros

  • Structured and supportive sober living
  • EMDR therapy for underlying trauma
  • Diverse experiential and animal therapies
  • Customized treatment tracks for individuals

Cons

  • Not suitable for severe physical mobility limitations
  • Heavy emphasis on physical outdoor activities

4. The Raleigh House – Denver

Website: https://www.theraleighhouse.com/

Address: 4401 S Quebec St

Contact: 720.799.0128

Hours: Daily: 8 am – 9 pm

The Raleigh House understands that rebuilding the body is just as important as healing the mind.  They address the biological aspects of recovery through a focus on nutrition and brain health alongside traditional therapeutic methods.

When I visited their facility with a family member exploring inpatient options, I was struck by their comprehensive team approach and the genuine warmth of the staff.

They’re particularly adept at treating severe co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously, saving patients from having to find separate counseling in Denver during treatment.

On the downside, they operate across multiple distinct locations for different levels of care. This setup can occasionally require complicated logistical transitions for patients moving between phases.

Even so, their dedication to personalized clinical attention remains a huge comfort.

Pros

  • Comprehensive team approach to care
  • Equine and art therapy options
  • Treats severe co-occurring mental health conditions
  • Structured residential and outpatient options

Cons

  • Logistical transitions between different care locations
  • Operating across multiple separate sites

Continuum Recovery Center of Colorado delivers comprehensive outpatient support designed to seamlessly integrate with your daily schedule.

They offer a very compassionate approach to healing that doesn’t require you to put your entire life on pause.

Treatment-wise, they utilize trauma-informed therapies alongside medication management to ensure a well-rounded recovery plan. They also incorporate holistic wellness practices specifically aimed at reducing life stress.

Their flexible scheduling is a relief for employed individuals. And because they accept a wide variety of insurance plans, including Medicaid, their programs are highly accessible.

One distinct drawback is the strict lack of an on-site residential living component, meaning patients have to secure their own stable housing during the program.

But if you already have a safe home environment, their structured outpatient guidance provides a wonderful and adaptable path forward.

Pros

  • Flexible scheduling for employed individuals
  • Holistic wellness practices for stress reduction
  • Accepts a wide variety of insurance, including Medicaid
  • Trauma-informed therapies and medication management

Cons

  • Strict lack of on-site residential living

I never felt like it was a money grab or a clinical setting. I felt safe, at home, able to be open, honest, and vulnerable to achieve my sobriety and recovery. My deepest thank you to everyone at contiuum.

Continuum was an awesome experience for me!   The group therapy with Walt was very helpful and something I looked forward to.  I enjoyed the topics discussed and other activities he has planned for us.  Caroline their peer coach was also great, we met regularly to see if where I needed additional support and provided me with great ideas and resources.  I highly recommend Continuum for anyone needed addiction help.
