We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Location & Accessibility: We looked closely at how easily guests can commute to the downtown district and the airport. Properties near major transportation hubs scored higher in our evaluation.

Amenities & Comfort: Our assessment prioritized the quality of sleeping arrangements and on-site dining facilities. We also checked for functional fitness centers and reliable parking options.

Value & Pricing: We compared the baseline nightly rates against the actual comforts provided to the guests. Accommodations offering competitive packages gained a noticeable edge.

Reputation & Reviews: High guest ratings regarding overall cleanliness played a crucial role in our selection. We prioritized establishments that consistently deliver excellent customer service.

Unique Features: We favored places offering distinct visual charm or direct mountain views. Special perks that elevate a standard stay into a memorable visit were highly valued.

Planning a trip to the Mile High City means finding the perfect home base for your adventures. Whether you’re traveling for a corporate conference or a family vacation, choosing the right accommodation sets the tone for your entire stay.

I spent time navigating the local hospitality scene to pinpoint the best hotel in Denver for various travel needs. You need a place that provides comfortable amenities and easy access to local attractions.

My guide breaks down top-rated options to help you lock in a reservation that matches your itinerary and budget perfectly.

How much does a hotel stay cost in Denver?

Star RatingAverage Nightly Rate

1. Courtyard by Marriott Denver Cherry Creek

Website: https://www.marriott.com/

Address: 1475 S Colorado Blvd

Contact: +1 303-757-8797 | Fax: +1 303-758-0704

Hours: Available 24/7

Courtyard by Marriott Denver Cherry Creek makes a lot of sense if you want extra breathing room without jumping to full luxury pricing.

I was drawn to the suite-style setup here because the sleeping area feels clearly separated from the lounge space. This is useful when you’re mixing downtime with work calls or getting ready for a longer day in the city.

I also appreciate the city views, the on-site coffee stop, and the upper-floor event space that feels polished enough for business gatherings.

If you need a longer stay with a kitchen, I would still compare it with nearby serviced apartments.

The main drawback is timing. Standard check-in doesn’t really help if you land early, and the minimum age policy may also be a hassle for younger travelers planning the trip themselves.

Pros

  • Broad entertainment network access
  • Generous midday checkout time
  • Dedicated event support infrastructure
  • Relaxed dining attire protocol

Cons

  • Strict minimum age requirements
  • Mid-afternoon room availability

Beautiful Views of the City & Rockies!

Beautiful Views of the City & Rockies! Super nice staff. Stately traditional high-rise in a fantastic location with modern touches such as recycling bins, shower product dispensers, and a restaurant with lots of great food and coffee. Three elevators, microwaves, and a mini fridge were a plus. Parking was $15 a night and required using the hotel parking app.

Tre James made all the difference

I made a reservation here at the last minute and was welcomed right away. I was very upset and tired when I arrived after a rough day. The receptionist was nice, but the desk supervisor, Tre James, made all the difference. He was compassionate, caring, and so helpful. I can’t thank him enough and would highly recommend staying at this very nice hotel.

2. The Curtis Denver – A DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

Website: https://www.hilton.com/

Address: 1405 Curtis Street

Contact: +1 303-571-0300 | [email protected]

Hours: Available 24/7

The Curtis Denver works best for travelers who want their stay to feel fun instead of generic.

I stayed here during a winter trip, and the pop-culture theme really did make the experience more memorable, from the welcome cookie at check-in to the playful room design that broke up the usual downtown business-hotel routine.

It also helps that the property is set up well for groups. Connected rooms, easy block bookings, and a central location near entertainment make it convenient for family visits or event weekends.

People relocating sometimes use it as a short-term base while hunting for nearby apartments.

The trade-off is cost creep. Parking can feel steep, and breakfast isn’t included in the standard rate. The final total may land higher than you first expect.

Pros

  • Guaranteed interconnected room reservations
  • Flexible vehicle entry and exit
  • Pet-friendly with size limits
  • Included high-speed internet

Cons

  • Hefty overnight parking fees
  • Out-of-pocket morning meals

One of my top notch service experiences

Not only was this place affordable for being right downtown, but it was one of my top notch service experiences in a long time. The front desk team, restaurant staff, and bartenders were amazingly friendly and attentive to my needs. I will definitely be coming back soon. Thank you to all the staff for making my stay comfortable and accommodating.

A fun hotel right downtown

The Curtis is a fun hotel right downtown in what may be a perfect location for out-of-town guests. It is near the stadiums, entertainment, shopping, and Union Station. The staff is fun, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. If you love video games from the 90s and 2000s, you should definitely visit. The attached restaurant also makes great drinks, coffee, and food.

3. Four Seasons Hotel Denver

Address: 1111 14th Street

Contact: +1 303-389-3000

Hours: Available 24/7

Four Seasons Hotel Denver is the one I would point to for travelers who want the full polished downtown experience.

The landscaped pool deck feels like a real city escape, and the complimentary house car around the nearby area adds a level of ease that you notice quickly once you start moving between meetings, dinners, or sightseeing plans.

Food is another strong point here. You can order meals to your room at any hour, and the more exclusive dining setups feel special without trying too hard.

I also appreciate the multilingual staff and the family-friendly touches that keep the service warm instead of stiff.

The only catch is that some of the best dining experiences require more planning than you might expect. Reservation cancellations have a strict deadline, so this isn’t the easiest pick for travelers who tend to make last-minute changes.

Pros

  • Complimentary high-speed internet access
  • Dedicated in-room cold storage
  • Fluent multilingual staff members
  • Specialized comforts for younger children

Cons

  • Strict culinary cancellation policies

A truly high-end hotel experience

If you’re looking for a truly high-end hotel experience in Denver, this place is exceptional. From the moment you arrive, the level of service feels personalized and attentive. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms are beautifully designed, spacious, and impeccably clean, with thoughtful touches that make your stay feel special.

An unforgettable honeymoon stay

We recently stayed at the Four Seasons Denver for two nights during our honeymoon, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with warmth and genuine hospitality. Isabella at the front desk was incredibly accommodating and friendly, and Kevin, our bellman and valet, provided excellent service and recommendations that made the stay even better.

4. Berkeley Hotel Denver

Website:https://www.berkeleyhoteldenver.com/

Address: 4160 Tennyson St

Contact: +1 720-310-3316 | [email protected]

Hours: Available 24/7

Berkeley Hotel Denver feels different from the usual downtown stay because it leans into a more residential setup.

I can see the appeal if you want something stylish and a little more self-directed, especially with the digital entry system that lets you skip the front desk and settle in on your own schedule.

The rooftop access is a real highlight, and the Tennyson Street location puts restaurants, coffee shops, and small local spots within easy walking distance. That neighborhood energy gives the hotel a more lived-in feel than a standard chain stay.

The downside is that convenience comes with add-on costs. Parking fees show up quickly, and standard housekeeping isn’t built into the stay. Guests who want daily room refreshes need to budget extra.

Pros

  • Included wireless internet connection
  • Generous advance cancellation refunds
  • Dog and cat-friendly policies
  • In-room hot beverage equipment

Cons

  • Recurring overnight parking surcharges
  • Extra premium for room tidying

AMAZING hotel in the heart of Denver

AMAZING hotel in the heart of one of Denver’s best and most walkable neighborhoods, right on Tennyson Street. You can see dozens of restaurants, shops, and bars from this place. The rooftop is incredible, the amenities are great, and everything feels modern and clean. I also loved the touchless check-in process because it was very fast.

The location is unbeatable

We had a fantastic stay at The Berkeley Hotel on Tennyson. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, modern yet inviting, with stylish decor. Our room was spotless, spacious, and well-appointed with all the amenities I needed. The location is unbeatable. We were steps away from amazing restaurants, coffee shops, and boutique stores while still enjoying a peaceful and relaxing environment.

5. Staybridge Suites Denver Downtown

Website: ihg.com

Address: 333 West Colfax Avenue

Contact: +1 720-428-8818 | +1 800-1110-2295 | [email protected]

Hours: Available 24/7

Staybridge Suites Denver Downtown is an easy pick for travelers who want practical comfort in a central spot.

I like that the stay in Staybridge Suites Denver Downtown starts with a complimentary breakfast, because that one detail can save both time and money when you have early plans.

The regular evening socials also add a friendly, low-key touch that helps longer stays feel less impersonal. It’s especially useful for business travelers, families, and anyone bringing a pet.

The location keeps downtown sights within walking distance. Inside, the apartment-style setup is better for people who don’t want to feel boxed into a basic hotel room for several days.

The biggest issue is parking. Short stays can still get expensive once the daily vehicle charges and pet fees are added. This one makes more financial sense if you’re planning to rely on walking or public transit.

Pros

  • Relaxing on-site water features
  • Round-the-clock business center access
  • Continuous laundry facility availability
  • Dedicated outdoor recreation space

Cons

  • Significant short-term parking fees
  • High flat fee for pets

Very helpful front desk staff

We love the staff at the front desk, very helpful! The room seemed small, however we had everything we needed. The shampoo, body wash, and lotion were very good quality. I would recommend staying here anytime.

Had a fantastic experience here!

Had a fantastic experience here! My check-in was quick and painless, and I was delighted to discover that the room had a kitchen with a full-size fridge. The bed was soft and lovely, there was a massive desk, and the shower had amazing water pressure. The view was great, and the stay felt much better than I expected for a downtown hotel.
