Stepping into this vibrant LoDo spot feels like a jolt of electricity. Blue Sushi Sake Grill has a club-like energy that turns a simple dinner into a true social destination right near Union Station.
I stopped by here after a long week, and the upbeat music instantly lifted my mood while I sampled the citrusy yellowtail.
They anchor their menu on a special program to serve responsibly sourced seafood. They also cater beautifully to plant-based eaters with a massive vegan menu section.
I love that they have an online portal to build custom sushi boxes for large parties.
However, finding a seat for their daily happy hour deals requires some patience. Those discounts are strictly first-come, first-served in the bar area.
Also, taking your food to go means paying full price since they don’t offer takeout specials. Still, the fun atmosphere and fresh food make it a top choice.

All our rolls were delicious
We really enjoyed our visit here. We had a cozy booth at the bar which has awesome vibes. Our server, Abbie, was so attentive and friendly. She even sent over a free appetizer when she heard it was our first time in. All our rolls were delicious. We will be back!

Incredibly kind and attentive
Blue Sushi has some of the best vegan sushi in town! The cowgirl is my all time favorite. I don’t even like pickles, but they somehow make it taste incredible. The restaurant itself has amazing vibes, makes for a great date night spot. Staff is always incredibly kind and attentive when I go as well. I will keep coming back!

Uchi Denver flies in rare seasonal cuts like goldeneye snapper directly from the famous Toyosu Market in Japan. They elevate the traditional dining format by offering three distinct omakase paths, including a fully curated vegetarian option.
James Beard Award-winning sushi master Chef Tyson Cole brings a rare level of technical skill to the table. In fact, he also offers unique educational classes for guests looking to expand their culinary knowledge.
The restaurant boasts a private dining room, which makes it easy to secure a spot for a corporate event.
However, budgeting for your meal here can be slightly tricky. Pricing for their premium imported fish fluctuates daily based on the market. You’ll also miss out on those social hour deals completely if you arrive for a later dinner seating.
Customer Reviews:
We LOVED our Uchi experience
We LOVED our Uchi experience. Sat at the sushi bar across from our amazing Chef Jessie, we gave him a budget and let him drive and he absolutely killed. We loved the pork belly, the lobster, tofu, Sasho crab roll, lettuce wraps, etc. etc. We did happy hour, (4pm – 6pm) fantastic deal. Will forever recommend 🙂

Wonderful experience at the sushi bar
My girlfriend and I recently visited Uchi and had a wonderful experience at the sushi bar. Our chef, Christopher, was professional and had amazing recommendations. The lobster miso, gyutoro (72 hour sous vide), and Otoro were our favorites. We also enjoyed their hamachi chili and kurodai crudo. Shoutout to chef Taka-san for the delectable surprises. We look forward to visiting again!

Sushi Den offers incredible quality because it has a direct link to fish markets in Japan. Their team hand-picks the seafood every morning and flies it over so it arrives fresh within one day.
I visited recently and was impressed by the amazing texture and flavor of their seasonal catch. With over forty different types of seafood available, there’s always something new to try.
For a special occasion, you can book a private room that seats eight people for a personalized meal. But note that they don’t take reservations for the main dining room, so you should expect a long wait.
You should also be aware that they don’t offer gluten-free or vegan options for their special chef tastings. Despite these rules, the high standards and fresh ingredients make it a legendary local spot.
Customer Reviews:
The food was exceptional
Kaz was such a great server and the food was exceptional. I highly recommend the king salmon nigiri, crispy spicy tuna, yellowfin platter, gyzo, and many of the rolls were good as well but the nigiri was by far the best. Overall had such a good time and would recommend this place!

Everything was fresh
This place was highly recommended and definitely lived up to the hype. We ordered the crispy spicy tuna and the miso black cod as appetizers and then took the recommendations of our waitress for the nigiri that we had. Everything was fresh and had really unique flavor profiles. Finished it off with the matcha tiramisu, which was light, not overly sweet, and the perfect way to end our meal.

Crunchy seaweed and warm rice completely change how you experience raw seafood. Temaki Den stands out by specializing in delicious flame-seared plates.
The team uses a specific extra-crispy nori to ensure every hand roll holds its perfect texture.
You can enjoy high-quality lunches and dinners throughout the entire week. They also serve a large variety of raw slices alongside small grilled plates to satisfy your appetite.
Ordering their chef’s choice menu provides a curated selection of premium cuts without any guesswork.

There are also fees for the hourly garage parking to worry about because the restaurant doesn’t validate tickets for guests.
Customer Reviews:
Every single bite was delicious
Every single bite was delicious. Staff was so friendly. I really liked that their menu has a bit of everything at low, medium, and high(er) price points. It makes it very accessible for any occasion in a way a lot of sushi restaurants aren’t. Creative, fresh, and such good quality. The giant warehouse building its located in is a little odd, but it works! The shoyu butter scallops were phenomenal.

Contact: (720) 724-7729 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday – Sunday: Seatings at 5:00 PM | 7:15 PM | 9:30 PM
Exclusive dining environments strip away the noise of a crowded room to focus entirely on the food. Sushi by Scratch Restaurants restricts its service to just ten guests at a time for a very immersive experience.
Diners enjoy a 17-course menu hidden inside a burger shop on Larimer Street. You’re even invited to sip a complimentary welcome cocktail thirty minutes before the tasting begins.
The staff maintains a relaxed atmosphere with no formal dress code required. You can also easily grab a drink at nearby breweries after finishing their late-night seating option.
However, keep in mind that strict cancellation penalties mean you pay the full price if your plans change. The kitchen also declines any mushroom or fish aversions.
Finally, arriving more than fifteen minutes late means you’ll miss several carefully crafted courses during your meal.

Hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had
Honestly, the staff, food, and overall experience were some of the best I’ve ever had in Denver. I’ll definitely be coming back. Jeffery and his brother were incredible and created a birthday experience I’ll never forget. Whether it’s for an anniversary, a birthday, or just a night out, I can’t recommend this place enough. Hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had.

The best sushi experience
The best sushi experience I’ve ever had! Each omakase dish is so unique and crafted with creativity. The fish was delicious and super high quality. Overall the service and ambiance were amazing. They offer pre-dinner drinks and bites which was a fun way to start the meal. They were also very accommodating with my gluten allergy. A very expensive but very special meal
