Their signature chicken-and-waffles dish is a must-try. It features three perfectly fried chicken pieces atop a thick Belgian waffle, all smothered in rich gravy.
I visited recently on a busy Sunday morning and was thoroughly impressed by the hearty portions. Though I did notice that the service can be slow when the dining room is fully packed.
Occasionally, the kitchen struggles with food temperatures, meaning your biscuits might arrive a bit cooler than expected.
Despite these minor hiccups, the high-energy vibe and dependably delicious comfort fare make this a fun weekend hangout.

Contact: (720) 798-3447
Hours: Mon-Fri 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Sat-Sun 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Finding a modern daytime eatery that takes morning classics to the next level is always a treat. Urban Egg thrives on its fresh, creative, and crave-worthy daytime dining concept, bringing a vibrant twist to traditional breakfast fare.
They prioritize elevated, handcrafted meals over mass-produced diner fare, ensuring a premium-casual experience for every guest.
Their menu is a playground for morning food lovers, featuring innovative dishes like the savory chicken-and-waffle Benedict alongside classic Belgian sugar waffles.
However, the service doesn’t always match the high quality of the food. For instance, diners frequently report accuracy issues in their orders, and waitstaff can sometimes feel a bit disengaged during busy rushes.
Still, for those who value unique flavor combinations and a bright, community-focused atmosphere, this spot delivers a fantastic daytime meal.
it was so good
Today was my son’s birthday and he went with a friend for breakfast here. I have never been and he said he had the benedict of course because that’s what he always gets anyway but I was surprised he had the chicken and waffle benedict. He normally only wants regular.
He told me it was so good with candied bacon. I was like yum bring me that.
This was AMAZING!! I ate the whole thing. I am still stuffed and skipping dinner. I told my friends I want to do brunch here and try their mimosas

I will definitely be coming back!
The staff here are incredibly welcoming and friendly. I ordered the chicken and waffles and I have to say, it may possibly be the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had, between the sweetness of the sugar waffle and candied bacon mixed with the savory, perfectly battered chicken. I will definitely be coming back!

3. Bacon Social House – Sunny Side

Hours: Mon 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Wed-Thu 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Fri-Sun 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Bacon Social House elevates the standard brunch experience by pairing thick Belgian waffles with premium ingredients like pecanwood-smoked bacon and crispy fried chicken.
They do an excellent job of integrating waffles into full, composed meals rather than just offering them as a simple side dish. Nothing beats a leisurely morning spent indulging in their hearty, amped-up takes on American classics!
During my last visit, the savory gravy paired with the waffle was an absolute standout, really showcasing their creative culinary approach.
That being said, you should definitely plan ahead, as securing a table often involves a lengthy wait, even with a reservation.
Furthermore, the kitchen can be slightly inconsistent, occasionally sending out plates that are a bit too salty or not quite hot enough.
This is by far the best brunch I’ve ever had.
We are visiting from Texas and someone told me I HAD to come here. They were right. We got the Carnitas Benedict’s and Chicken and Waffle. This is by far the best brunch I’ve ever had. Also the biscuits are divine.

waffles were the best I’ve had; light, fluffy
Absolutely loved this restaurant! The chicken and waffles were the best I’ve had; light, fluffy, yet crispy waffle with perfectly seasoned, breaded chicken topped with a sausage gravy. Portions are large – 2 meals for me. Breakfast burrito was solid, and the bacon cheddar tots hit the spot. My only complaint was being seated right next to the loudest possible human being ever in a dining room that had several other open tables. Killed the experience quite a bit.

Syrup Downtown operates as a contemporary take on the classic pancake house, offering a massive menu of creative comfort food with broad appeal.
This locally owned favorite is known for its house-made syrups and flavored butters, allowing guests to completely customize their morning sweets.
You’ll find everything from loaded buttermilk creations to hearty chicken and waffles here, served in a cozy, Midwestern-inspired environment.
The only major downside is that the waffle texture itself can sometimes fall short of expectations, occasionally arriving less crisp than desired.
Additionally, initial service delays are common, meaning you might wait a while before a server takes your drink order.
Also enjoyed waffle platter with different syrups
Everything was Delish! We tried the New Yorker Eggs Benedict which had smoked salmon and the corned beef hash Benedict, they were both amazing. I’d recommend trying the maple pepper bacon that was incredible. Also enjoyed waffle platter with different syrups, a vanilla maple and apricot syrup.

the waffle was very fluffy on the inside
I had breakfast here before departing from Colorado after a board meeting. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles – the spicy syrup had just the right amount of heat, the waffle was very fluffy on the inside, and the chicken was well done. Coffee was great, service was friendly and attentive without being constantly interrupting.

5. Mimosas

Address: 2752 Welton Street
Contact: (720)-372-7572

Weekends are made for lively gatherings and fantastic drinks. Mimosas brings a vibrant, mimosa-centric brunch concept to the Five Points neighborhood.
Here, they pair creative fusion beverages with a chef-driven gourmet food menu. Their expansive offerings beautifully balance sweet and savory cravings, featuring a standout chicken and waffles entrée drizzled with cayenne honey.
The high-energy environment, complete with eye-catching murals and great music, makes it the perfect destination for social celebrations.
On the flip side, the bustling atmosphere often overwhelms the limited bar staff, resulting in noticeably long wait times for those signature drinks.
Some guests have also noted that the waffles can occasionally come out slightly hard and lacking in deep flavor.
If you can look past the beverage delays, the communal vibe is truly hard to beat.
Great experience!
A gem in 5 points! Stopped in during the Juneteenth festival on Father’s Day. What a great breakfast!!! The music was popping, the customers were happy and the wait time was reasonable with text updates. We had the shrimp and grits and chicken and waffle. Omg, so good! The drinks were great too! I had a classy mimosa and my bf had a Pina colada mimosa. Great experience! 👏
