We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Product Range and Quality: We evaluated the variety of styles and the durability of the wear layers offered by each provider. This ensures that the recommendations cater to both high-traffic commercial spaces and cozy residential bedrooms.

Installation Expertise: Our team looked for companies with dedicated, highly-trained installers who manage everything from subfloor prep to trim. Quality installation is the primary factor in preventing floor peaking or gapping over time.

Customer Value and Warranties: We prioritized businesses that offer significant protections, such as satisfaction guarantees or long-term performance warranties. This gives you peace of mind that your investment is protected against manufacturing defects.

Accessibility and Service: We considered showroom locations, weekend availability, and the ease of the quoting process. A great flooring experience should be convenient for busy professionals and families alike.

With our city’s fluctuating humidity and snowy winters, choosing a floor that handles moisture while looking like authentic hardwood is a total game-changer. Luckily, modern luxury vinyl options provide that high-end aesthetic without the high-end maintenance.

I’ve actually explored the local market to find the shops that offer the right balance of professional installation, massive selection, and fair pricing to help you transform your space efficiently, so read on!

Contact: (303) 744-1900

Hours: Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM; Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Sunday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

If you’re looking for a one-stop shop for a massive home renovation, Colorado Flooring is a fantastic starting point. They offer broad product expertise that covers everything from tile and carpet to premium hardwood and vinyl.

I visited their showroom recently and was impressed by how they manage the entire project from material sourcing to final installation.

It’s incredibly helpful to see the textures of Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) and Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) in person rather than guessing from a tiny online thumbnail.

However, while their 7-day availability is a huge plus for my hectic schedule, keep in mind that their Sunday hours are quite short. You’ll need to time your visit carefully to ensure you aren’t rushed while browsing their extensive selection of waterproof options.

Pros

  • Central physical showroom
  • Open seven days a week
  • End-to-end project management
  • Personalized website estimates

Cons

  • Limited Sunday hours
  • Can feel busy on weekends

Customer Reviews:

Everything about the experience was positive.

We had luxury vinyl flooring installed in our entryway. Eveything about the experience was positive. Andre, our installer, went way above and beyond to make sure it was perfect. We are thrilled and will be calling back to have more work done soon.

Highly recommend if looking for high quality, affordable flooring.

My vinyl plank flooring is beautiful and working with Arianna, my sales person, was a pleasure. She was informative, attentive and the installer she paired me with was excellent!!! Highly recommend if looking for high quality, affordable flooring

Address: 11809 East 51st Ave.

Contact: 303-647-9041 | [email protected]

Hours: Mon-Fri: 9 AM – 6 PM; Sat: 9 AM – 2 PM

Denver Carpet & Flooring really stands out if you prefer a premium shop-at-home experience. For instance, instead of you trekking across town, they bring the samples to your living room so you can see how the colors look under your actual lighting.

They’re also excellent at educating clients on technical details like wear layers, which is vital for long-term durability.

Moreover, their financing is some of the best I have seen, often offering a year of no interest.

However, if you’re a landlord fixing up a rental, be aware that their 30-day satisfaction guarantee typically only applies to owner-occupied residences. This is a bit of a bummer for the property management crowd.

On the upside, for a primary residence, the peace of mind they provide is hard to beat for high-quality vinyl.

Pros

  • Mobile showroom service
  • 12-month interest-free financing
  • Strong educational approach
  • Extensive local job portfolio

Cons

  • Guarantee excludes rentals
  • Limited Saturday afternoon hours

Customer Reviews:

The plank vinyl is simply amazing! The installers were so professional, kind and respectful. We are so thrilled with the level of service and detail. The carpet is also really good. Transformed my new home. Would highly recommend this company and time of day.

Professionalism and great service from step one… the sale, Steve was. The best, no pressure just the perfect guy for the job. Vinyl flooring install was fast and well done as well as the carpet layers. They met every standard there was. Highly recommend.

Contact: 720-457-4602

Hours: Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Carpet One Floor & Home Denver is famous for “The Beautiful Guarantee,” which is a bold promise to replace floors for free if the client doesn’t love the final look.

I love their rare level of confidence, and it really helps take the sting out of such a big financial commitment.

Another aspect worth highlighting is their “Room Visualizer” tool. This tech allows clients to see exactly how a grey oak plank would look in my kitchen before even talking to a salesperson, which greatly helps the decision-making process.

It also helps that that they’re part of a massive cooperative, giving them the buying power to keep prices competitive while maintaining a local feel.

The only real downside is that they’re closed on Sundays. If you are ‘relooking for painting services to refresh your walls while the floors are being done, you’ll have to coordinate those errands during their available times.

Pros

  • Industry-leading replacement promise
  • Advanced digital room visualizer
  • Competitive cooperative pricing
  • Post-purchase stain support

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays

Customer Reviews:

The vinyl looks just like wood and is so easy to maintain.

My experience with Carpet One was GREAT!  I had Luxury Vinyl put on two stories of our tri-level and carpet on the stairs and lower lever. Carole was so knowledgeable and patient in helping pick exactly what I wanted and I love it. Carpet One has a huge variety of flooring to choose from. The installers were very experienced and did an excellent job. The vinyl looks just like wood and is so easy to maintain.

Great to work with and made sure the job was done right.

Jose is amazing and did a wonderful job on our floors. Carpet One and Noel were great to work with and made sure the job was done right. We live in a 100 year old house and there were some challenges, but they went above and beyond. I would definitely work with them again.

Located within the Denver Design Center, Total Floors is the place to go if you want something that looks like it belongs in an architectural magazine.

What makes them stand out is their expertise in designer-tier vinyl planks that offer unique patterns and textures you won’t find at a big-box retailer. Plus, they have can handle massive office spaces just as easily as a luxury custom home.

I spoke with a designer friend who uses them for high-profile commercial builds, and she raved about their streamlined client portal for tracking project invoices.

Since they focus on high-end and architectural-grade materials, their pricing reflects that premium status. This isn’t the shop for a DIY renovator on a tight budget, but if you want floors that are a legitimate design statement, their selection is unmatched in the city.

Pros

  • High-end designer inventory
  • Specialized commercial capabilities
  • Convenient online client portal

Customer Reviews:

Helpful, knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Jeri helped us find the perfect floors for our remodel. We chose to go with a vinyl plank as we have dogs, kids and lots of foot traffic through our house. We also bought carpet through Jeri 5 years ago that is still looking like new. Jeri is so helpful, knowledgeable and easy to work with. We appreciate how responsive and kind she is. We look forward to working with Jeri again as our needs require.

We are so pleased with everything.

We had a wonderful experience with Total Floors. Dan in particular was so helpful, knowledge, and excellent at communicating. I can’t say enough good things. We love our floor choices and so pleased with everything.

5. Lumber Liquidators

lumber-liquidators

Website: https://lumberliquidators.com/

Address: 5060 Acoma St

Contact: 1-800-HARDWOOD | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Saturday: 9 AM–6 PM; Sunday, 11 AM–5 PM

Lumber Liquidators is the heavyweight champion of volume discounts and aggressive price matching. If you’re tackling a massive project like a whole-house flooring swap, their national buying power can save you a significant amount of money.

They also offer a white-glove delivery service that brings those heavy boxes directly into the specific rooms where you need them. This is a lifesaver for your back, especially if you’re also dealing with garage door repair services or other heavy home maintenance.

While they have innovative products like Duravana hybrid resilient flooring, the experience can feel a bit corporate.

For instance, you might find yourself dealing with a 1-800 number or a centralized email system rather than a dedicated local owner, which can sometimes make communication feel a little less personal during the installation phase.

Pros

  • Deep volume discounts
  • In-room delivery options
  • Hundreds of take-home samples
  • Rapid installation scheduling

Cons

  • Corporate customer service feels
  • Communication can be centralized

Customer Reviews:

If I needed more flooring I’d definitely go there.

After years of looking for vinyl plank flooring, I finally found exactly what I wanted at lumber liquidators. It’s beautiful flooring. There were a few glitches when I placed my order, but the manager was helpful and the installers more than made up for any problems. If I needed more flooring I’d definitely go there.

Went above and beyond to make sure my project went well.

Multiple staff members at the Denver Lumber Liquidators went above and beyond to make sure my project (vinyl plank flooring for my kitchen) went well. They even called to check in to see how the installation went. We installed the CoreLuxe Ultra rigid core vinyl planks a couple weeks ago and they are great so far.
