Finding the Best Assisted Living Facilities in Denver for Your Family

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Quality of Care and Staffing: I prioritized communities that maintain trained caregivers and dependable coverage around the clock. Consistent nursing support matters because it gives families more confidence in day-to-day safety and communication.

Facility Amenities and Comfort: A pleasant living environment can make a big difference in a resident’s mood and independence.

I looked for communities with inviting common areas, outdoor spaces, and amenities that help daily life feel fuller and less clinical.

Specialized Support Programs: Not every senior needs the same level of help, especially when memory care or therapy is involved. I gave extra weight to facilities that appear equipped to offer individualized support plans and secure care options.

Value and Cost Transparency: Long-term care is a major financial decision for most families. I favored places that are more upfront about base pricing, premium care costs, and the practical tradeoffs tied to higher-end services.

I know how hard it can be to look for the best assisted living service in Denver when you’re trying to protect a loved one’s safety without taking away their independence.

Some communities look polished at first glance, but daily staffing, memory support, and overall warmth can vary a lot once you take a closer look.

To make the search easier, I narrowed this guide to Denver facilities that stand out for quality care, resident comfort, and the practical tradeoffs families should know before making a decision.

How much does assisted living cost in Denver?

In Denver, assisted living usually costs $4,000 to $7,500 per month, while memory care often adds another $1,000 to $2,500 on top of the base rate.

Level of CareEstimated Monthly Cost
Standard Assisted Living$4,000 – $7,500
Memory Care PremiumAdditional $1,000 – $2,500

1. Modena Cherry Creek

Website: https://modenacherrycreek.com/

Address: 2440 S Wabash St

Contact: 720-928-3280 | [email protected]

Hours: Available 24/7

When I look at Modena Cherry Creek, the first thing that stands out is how polished the community feels.

The design, mountain views, strong culinary program, and packed activity calendar give it a more upscale feel than many traditional assisted living properties.

I also like that residents have access to creekside walking paths and well-kept outdoor areas, which can make everyday routines feel calmer and less confined.

The nursing team handles wellness checks and higher-touch supervision with a reputation for warmth, and that kind of consistency matters a lot when families are trusting staff with daily care.

The biggest drawback is cost. This is clearly one of the more premium options in the area, so families working within a tighter care budget may find the base pricing hard to justify.

Pros

  • Exceptional nursing and management staff
  • Access to beautiful outdoor walking paths
  • High-end physical amenities and salon
  • 24/7 care and specialized supervision

Cons

  • Expensive premium base pricing

Staff Is Comforting

My mom has been at Modena Cherry Creek since January of 2022, first in Assisted Living and now in Memory Care. The staff is comforting, kind, and patient with my mom and all of the residents. I feel secure knowing that my mother is well taken care of, and I am always greeted with smiles whenever I drop in for a visit. The environment is beautiful and the food is great. We are very happy with Modena Cherry Creek!

New and Beautiful

My 96 year old dad has been in a beautiful assisted living apartment at Modena since this last January. He loves the food, the new friends, and all the activities, including an on-site Physical Therapy team. Everyone who’s been to Modena knows that it is new and beautiful, but I love his care team. From the wonderful concierges at the front desk to the incredible caregivers and staff who treat him like their own family, I’m confident that he’s in the right place!

Hours: Available 24/7

The Courtyards at Mountain View feels like a strong fit for families who need memory-focused support without giving up a personal touch.

The community leans heavily on individualized care plans, which are helpful when a resident’s needs are changing over time.

What stayed with me most was how naturally the staff seemed to connect with residents. During visits with a colleague’s mother, I noticed team members greeting her by name and keeping the tone calm instead of rushed.

The enclosed courtyard and raised garden beds also give residents a safe way to get sunlight and fresh air. The overall atmosphere has the same soothing feel people often look for in wellness spaces like reflexology spots in Denver.

The tradeoff is availability. Because this community has a strong local reputation, waitlists can be a real obstacle if your family needs a move-in option right away.

Pros

  • Highly intimate community environment
  • Delicious meals served daily
  • Extensive physical and library amenities
  • Individualized resident care plans

Cons

  • Frequent apartment waitlists

Much To Love

My 95 year old mother-in-law has been in assisted living for 18 months now. There is much to love in the staff and the building. Biggest problem is the turnover in staff and food service. It’s ridiculous how this is not stabilized. I see that as a major failure of the corporate management.

3. Rosemark At Mayfair Park

Website: https://rosemarkmayfairpark.com/

Address: 833 Jersey St

Contact: (720) 784-4382

Hours: Available 24/7

Rosemark At Mayfair Park stands out to me for families who want a little more independence built into daily life.

Its TOUCHPOINTS program seems designed to preserve individuality inside memory care instead of making every routine feel overly rigid.

I also like the setting. The walkable neighborhood, pet-friendly rules, and scratch-made meals help the place feel more lived-in than institutional.

Families who value regular updates may appreciate the nursing staff’s reputation for calling relatives with progress reports. That kind of communication can ease a lot of stress when you can’t be on-site every day.

The biggest limitation is financial. Rosemark operates as a private-pay community and doesn’t accept Medicaid, so it may be out of reach for families relying on state-funded assistance.

Pros

  • Relaxed and independent environment
  • Excellent nursing staff communication
  • Pet-friendly community rules
  • Scratch-made daily meals

Cons

  • Doesn’t accept Medicaid

Supportive And Helpful

Love Rosemark Assisted living facility in Denver, Colorado. Meeshi Anjali is the best. He’s the life enrichment director and he’s very good at his job. Everyone needs a Meeshi in their facility. He’s amazing with the activities, efficient, professional, and supportive. Everyone here is super friendly, supportive, and helpful.

Fun Atmosphere

I frequently play music for the Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. I love this place! The residents always seem to be having a good time, and every staff person is friendly, cheerful, and helpful. Whenever I play, staff is always helping get people involved, encouraging them to sing along, dance, or play tambourines or shakers. It is truly a warm, fun atmosphere.

4. Carillon at Belleview Station

Website: https://carillonatbelleviewstation.com/

Address: 4855 S Niagara St

Contact: (720) 730-2072

Hours: Available 24/7

Carillon at Belleview Station is geared toward seniors who want modern amenities without giving up access to assisted living support. Because the building was developed in 2019, the common areas still feel sleek and current.

The Alexa Dot in every room is a small detail, but it can make activity updates and everyday communication easier for residents who like simple tech.

Extras like valet parking, the sixth-floor sky lounge, and an in-house therapy suite push the experience beyond the basics, especially for residents recovering from surgery.

The property also looks impressively well-kept. It’s clear they invest in commercial cleaning services in Denver.

The main downside is spiritual support. Families looking for denomination-specific guidance may find the interfaith setup too general, since there’s no dedicated on-site clergy.

Pros

  • Exceptionally modern facilities
  • Innovative smart room technology
  • Dedicated in-house therapy suite
  • Luxury sky lounge and valet parking

Cons

  • No dedicated on-site clergy

5. The Gardens at St Elizabeth

Address: 2835 West 32nd Avenue

Contact: (303) 964-2000

Hours: Available 24/7

The Gardens at St Elizabeth makes the most sense for families who want assisted living with a strong spiritual foundation.

The historic Catholic chapel, daily Mass, and Rosary services aren’t just nice extras here. They shape the rhythm of the community in a way some residents may find deeply reassuring.

I also like the location in Potter Highlands, where the campus gets striking mountain and skyline views.

When it comes to care, the on-site physician clinic is a real advantage. Routine primary care can be handled without an extra trip across town, which makes ongoing health management feel more convenient.

The concern is memory safety. Families dealing with severe dementia should look carefully at the layout, because the campus isn’t fully locked down for residents who are prone to wandering.

Pros

  • Strong daily spiritual connection
  • Beautiful skyline and mountain views
  • Convenient on-site physician clinic
  • Walkable historic neighborhood

Cons

  • Lacks a fully locked-down environment

Beautiful Assisted Living

I love The Gardens at St Elizabeth! The staff is very friendly, and they take great care of their residents. The food is wonderful, and it is a beautiful assisted living community with lots of great activities to keep residents happy and engaged. They are private pay but offer a spend down to Innovage PACE, and Innovage works well with the Gardens to make sure there is a full continuum of care.
