When seeking a healthcare team that prioritizes long-term wellness and advanced technology, Denver Health Cardiology offers a deeply collaborative approach.

Their multidisciplinary team focuses on minimizing invasive procedures and embracing innovations, such as self-contained leadless pacemakers.

By integrating these targeted interventions with robust preventative education, they create a comprehensive care strategy.

It’s also great that the clinic is located inside a modern medical center with an expansive lab and a high-tech pharmacy. They also provide advanced imaging capabilities, including PET scans for accurate disease identification.

I recently spoke with some patients who praised how the clinical exercise physiologists patiently helped them manage their hypertension post-diagnosis. With this approach, their recovery process feels completely achievable.

However, because the clinic operates within a massive medical pavilion serving hundreds daily, navigating from the parking area to the specific suite can be physically taxing for mobility-impaired patients.

Pros

  • State-of-the-art facility with centralized services
  • First hospital to offer on-site PET scans
  • Dedicated clinical exercise physiologists
  • Minimally invasive intervention expertise

Cons

  • Time-consuming navigation from parking
  • Physically taxing layout for elderly patients

I couldn’t be happier with the team that is assisting me.

Everyone in the cardiology department is absolutely wonderful and helpful. They are excellent at their jobs and completely thorough with everything they do. I couldn’t be happier with the team that is assisting me with my health issues. I consider them family and I genuinely believe that they care for their patients because of how well we Are treated.

I couldn’t be in better hands.

Ive been going through health issues related to heart failure for several months and Denver Healt has provided me some of the greatest physicians, nurses, and cardiologists a person could ask for. Hats off to your professional staff Denver Health, i couldnt be in better hands.

For athletes and highly active individuals, finding a specialist who understands the physical demands of your lifestyle is crucial. The UCHealth Heart and Vascular Center in Cherry Creek is seamlessly connected to the state’s only academic medical center.

Her, they offer research-driven cardiovascular care, including a highly specialized Sports Cardiology program.

Patients also gain direct access to elite academic resources, including innovative medicines and exclusive clinical trials at the University of Colorado Hospital.

As for the facility, it offers a robust suite of on-site imaging, including CT and MRI scans for precise structural heart mapping.

I also appreciate that they offer complimentary valet parking. To reduce the logistical stress of the congested commercial district.

However, you should be aware that the clinic enforces rigid scheduling policies. They require a strict 24-hour advance notice for cancellations and mandate that guests arrive 15 minutes early, which reduces flexibility for busy professionals.

Pros

  • Comprehensive Sports Cardiology program
  • Robust on-site cardiac imaging capabilities
  • Direct connection to elite academic resources
  • Complimentary valet parking available

Cons

  • Rigid 24-hour cancellation policy
  • Mandatory early arrival requirements

Listens, takes his time and offers several solutions

I recently saw Dr. Ryan Cotter and he is amazing! He listens, takes his time and offers several solutions and an actual game plan which made me feel relieved. The facility is quite nice as well, friendly staff to assist you.

I feel that I am in the best hands.

I am so happy with care that I have received from Dr. Cotter and his team. Heart issues are scary, but I feel that I am in the best hands and receiving the best care. I truly appreciate not feeling that I am alone in this journey. Again, my most sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Cotter and the UC Health team.

Website: https://www.healthonecares.com/

Address: 4567 E 9th Ave

Contact: (303) 320-2121

Hours: Monday-Sunday: Available 24/7

Experiencing a cardiac emergency requires immediate care from a facility built for complex situations.

Operating as the only heart hospital in the metro area dedicating an entire tower to cardiology care, HCA HealthONE Rose features a 24/7 catheterization lab and a collaborative Heart Failure Clinic.

Their setup ensures immediate, minimally invasive interventions exactly when they matter most.

They also excel in innovative structural heart procedures like Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) for patients considered high-risk for open-heart surgery.

Another plus is that inpatients can enjoy customized room service tailored to dietary needs, including strict gluten-free options.

While resting, physical health issues can affect mental wellness, prompting some patients to consult local psychotherapists for additional support.

Keep in mind that the hospital enforces rigid visitation policies within their intensive care units. In particular, they strictly limit visits to two people at a time, which feels restrictive for large families.

Pros

  • Round-the-clock cardiac catheterization lab
  • Innovative minimally invasive valve repair
  • Specialized collaborative Heart Failure Clinic
  • Dietary-conscious room service for inpatients

Cons

  • Strict intensive care visitation policies; only two visitors per patient

This location was exemplary in their care.

We have nothing but praise for the Rose Medical Emergency Room and the ICU. Our mother arrived with what turned out to be a prolonged heart attack. We were greatly impressed with the professional and caring attention that was given to every detail of her stay. The cardiologist was especially appreciated for his professionalism, demeanor and the presentation of her situation. The ICU doctor and the floor nurses were also outstanding. The entire family has unfortunately had multiple experiences with Emergency Rooms and ICU’s, and this location was exemplary in their care.

A very positive experience.

I was welcomed with warm professional care and taken to the appropriate department where I received excellent preparation and care for a contrast heart scan.  The heart scan staff did a great job of getting the necessary images as requested by my doctor. Thanks to the staff for a very positive experience.

Address: 1000 Southpark Drive, Littleton

Contact: (303) 744-1065

Hours: By Appointment Only

Finding a recovery plan that focuses on a complete lifestyle transformation rather than just medication can change the trajectory of your health.

Blending Eastern philosophy with cutting-edge Western medicine, South Denver Cardiology serves as the state’s first site to offer the Pritikin Intensive Care Rehab (ICR) program.

Their approach emphasizes practical nutrition and targeted exercise with the exact same level of clinical focus as standard diagnostic tests.

A relative of mine recently completed their exclusive ICR program and felt incredibly supported by the holistic lifestyle care plan.

Managing cardiovascular health often involves addressing physical aches, and some patients might coordinate their wellness routine with a trusted spine specialist to stay active.

One notable limitation is their lack of hospital affiliation with Sky Ridge Medical Center or UCHealth facilities, which limits continuity of care during unexpected admissions.

Nonetheless, their massive team of 30 board-certified professionals and dedicated sub-clinics, including a Lipid Clinic and a Cardio-Oncology Clinic, is a big convenience.

Pros

  • Exclusive access to the Pritikin ICR program
  • Massive team of board-certified MDs
  • Holistic approach prioritizing nutrition
  • Numerous dedicated on-site sub-clinics

Cons

  • Lack of affiliation with UCHealth facilities
  • Continuity of care limitations

The staff did amazing, and the facility is beautiful.

Love this place and the staff, they are amazing, and the facility is beautiful.   They have a little coffee shop, and its WAY better than any starbucks!! PSA IF YA HAVING CHEST PAIN AND SHORTNESS OF BREATH GO TO THE HOSPITAL.  One day I was at SDC they had 3 cardiac emergencies resulting ambulance to the hospital.  The staff did amazing, but this is not an emergency facility don’t put them through that.

I felt like I was taken care of.

They were prompt with my appointment time

The staff was friendly and answered my questions.

The nurse was very efficient and listened to me with good eye contact. Gave me information and consulted the staff doctor before making any decisions. She called me the next morning to be sure I was clear on the changes that were made. I felt like I was taken care of. Thank you all.

5. Intermountain Health Heart & Vascular – Denver

Website: https://intermountainhealthcare.org/

Address: 1818 N Ogden St, Ste 400

Contact: (303) 272-0500

Hours: Monday-Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Intermountain Health Heart & Vascular focuses on a highly personalized approach to preventive cardiology and chronic disease management.

With their proactive stance against chronic disease, patients can aggressively manage risk factors before they escalate into serious events.

This clinical team is also known for its reliability in monitoring the unique cardiovascular complications that arise during oncology treatments.

Furthermore, their physicians receive high praise for taking the time to explain treatment options and risks without rushing to order expensive tests.

For added convenience, the clinic offers telehealth services that allow established patients to safely consult their doctor regarding medication management from home.

It’s important to note, however, that the clinic strictly operates on a standard weekday schedule. They’re closed on Saturdays and Sundays, making it difficult for professionals to attend routine follow-up appointments without missing work.

Pros

  • Specialized cardio-oncology expertise
  • Convenient telehealth accessibility
  • Thorough patient education
  • Clinical expertise in chronic disease management

Cons

  • Closed on weekends

I highly recommend them.

I was late to my appointment due to an accident and my cardiologist took the time to see me. My visit was great. She informed me that my heart ❤️ is good and strong. I will see her again next year for a follow up. Thank you very much. I highly recommend Intermountain Health Heart and Vascular to family and friends. Blessings!
