Address: 601 S Emerson St.

Contacts: +1 720-366-6272

Hours: Mon-Fri: 11 AM-9 PM; Sat: 11 AM-3 PM; Sun: 11 AM-2 PM

Barbara’s Piano Studio stands out by offering personalized in-home lessons. The instruction is provided by a Steinway Top Teacher nominee with over 13 years of experience!

The teacher is skilled in both piano and vocal coaching, so students get a well-rounded music education. Students of all ages, from toddlers to seniors, are welcome here.

What’s more, their four formal recitals each year give everyone clear goals to work toward, which can be really motivating. In fact, one parent told us the professional video recordings of recitals are a big favorite with families.

The only downside is that scheduling might be less flexible since it’s just one instructor. Also, the focus on classical music might not work for those who are only interested in pop songs.

Pros

  • Personalized in-home lessons
  • Dual piano and voice training
  • Four formal annual recitals
  • Professional recital recordings

Cons

  • Solo instructor; limited scheduling flexibility
  • Focus on classical music only

She is very friendly, dedicated, conscientious, thoughtful, reliable and very energetic

Barbara is a colleague of mine as we are both piano teachers. We often times recommend one another when we have a student we can’t fit in or is outside our mobile lesson parameter locationally. I want to express my highest recommendation here as well. She has taught many students and had fantastic results. She is an excellent teacher! As an individual, she is very friendly, dedicated, conscientious, thoughtful, reliable and very energetic.

2. Pirisen Music Lessons

Website: http://www.pirisenmusiclessons.com/

Address: 3700 Havana St #214

Contacts: +1 720-515-8892

Hours: Mon-Thu: 3 PM-8 PM; Sat: 9 AM-1 PM

Pirisen Music Lessons stands out with their flexible lesson options, so you can pick studio or online sessions to suit your needs. And with several instructors available, finding a lesson time that fits your family’s schedule is a lot easier.

The school teaches multiple instruments, making their curriculum a great choice for families with kids interested in different things, like piano and drums.

You can feel confident in the quality of teaching, since all their instructors are background checked. But if you’re not satisfied with the instruction, they offer a money-back guarantee.

I also like that they have a convenient rental program that helps beginners get started without having to buy an instrument up front.

However, keep in mind that this is a larger school, so it might not have the personal touch of a smaller, private studio. Also, they’re closed on Fridays and Sundays, which can make it harder to fit lessons into your weekend plans.

Pros

  • Money-back guarantee offered
  • Multiple instrument choices
  • Convenient instrument rentals
  • Online and in-home options

Cons

  • Closed on Fridays and Sundays
  • Large school; less personal, boutique feel

It’s been such a great experience for my child

We have been a part of the rock band at Pirisen for the past year, and it’s been such a great experience for my child. It’s been so fun for the kids to get to use the technique that they learn in lessons and apply it to a full band sound. Agustin, who leads the band, is a great teacher, who gives the kids some creative control to decide on songs and has a great way of providing feedback that brings out the best in their playing.

This sweet little music school is filled with accepting, lovely instructors

We have loved lessons at Pirisen! Madeline, my daughter’s piano teacher is fabulous. She’s patient, knowledgeable, and kind to my seven year old. We’ve seen great progress quickly and my daughter loves to practice! This sweet little music school is filled with accepting, lovely instructors who are incredibly talented!
