Address: 1600 S Cherokee St.

Contact: (833) 450-6528

Hours: Available 24/7

Musicians chasing that warm, classic sound will absolutely love The Lab Recording Studios.

Their space houses the only vintage Neve recording console (specifically a Neve VR36 with Mad Labs Mods) in Colorado, delivering incredible sonic detail for analog-focused, full-band sessions.

As a producer, I’ve worked in numerous control rooms, and having access to this level of flagship gear instantly elevates the final mix.

The tracking space is equally impressive, featuring a 320-square-foot live room alongside two treated isolation booths. They even let you select your preferred engineer at checkout.

Keep in mind that they enforce a strict two-hour minimum booking requirement, which might be overkill if you just need to punch in a quick vocal edit from a singing lesson demo.

You also need to watch their cancellation policy. Dropping a session within 24 hours means forfeiting your 50% deposit.

Pros

  • Features a specialized 320 sq ft live room and two iso booths
  • Offers high-end gear, including a 10-piece drum kit and vintage mics
  • Allows clients to choose their preferred engineer during checkout
  • Provides discounted rates for extended or full-day studio rentals

Cons

  • Strict 24-hour cancellation policy forfeits the 50% deposit
  • Enforces a strict two-hour minimum booking requirement

You will leave with a polished product.

If you want the best to record your music, The Lab Recording Studio is the best hands down. The staff is very knowledgeable about industry standards, and you will leave with a polished product. I have worked with The Lab for 7 years and dont plan to record anywhere else!

It was a great place to learn and grow.

This is the first studio I have ever been to. It was a great place to learn, and grow. The owner is amazing, he went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied with all the work. He is easy to contact if you ever have any questions or concerns, and he is very impressive once he gets behind track! I recorded my first album here and I plan on returning for my second. The whole process was a lot fun and very enjoyable. It was a great experience overall!! And their work is quality! Would highly recommend!

If your creative projects extend into the visual realm, Side 3 Studios operates as a full-fledged multimedia hub.

They operate The Creative Campus, an expansive facility featuring dedicated video production spaces, podcasting rooms, and rehearsal areas alongside traditional tracking rooms.

Finding a spot that handles HD cinematography and immersive audio mixing under one roof is rare, making them an excellent choice for content creators and commercial agencies.

Their Dolby Atmos room is a massive draw for cutting-edge sound design, and they maintain three distinct studio tiers to accommodate different budgets.

During a recent project where I needed flexible late-night scheduling, their 24/7 appointment availability was an absolute lifesaver.

However, you have to plan ahead because they strictly forbid walk-in clients and require an upfront 50% deposit to lock in any session.

Pros

  • Operates 24/7 by appointment for unmatched scheduling flexibility
  • Features a Dolby Atmos Room for immersive audio mixing
  • Provides comprehensive media services, including HD video editing
  • Offers three-tiered room options to fit various production budgets

Cons

Customer Reviews:

An excellent place to record.

I have always found Side 3 to be an excellent place to record, no matter what the project entails. I’ve been lucky enough to work with a few of the engineers, all of whom have shown the professionalism and knowledge of their craft that I would expect from the best. This last time, I spent several hours at Studio B with Nick and the session couldn’t have gone better, as he was able to help me turn the few ideas I had into a coherent, well put together piece.

If you need a place to record, this is the place to go!

I love this place! Side 3 studio’s is my new home to record. Very professional love working with ryan, he always has my Music sounding great. If you need a place to record this is the place to go!

3. CCM Recording Studios

Website: https://denver-recording-studio.com/

Address: 4214 East Colfax Ave

Contact: 720.941.6088, 303.324.5956 | [email protected]

Hours: Available 24/7

CCM Recording Studios has operated as a landmark full-service facility in Denver for over 25 years, seamlessly combining world-class analog and digital equipment.

This longevity allows them to handle an immense variety of music, video, and spoken-word projects with practiced efficiency. They especially excel in voiceover work, applying a distinct engineering approach prioritized heavily toward intelligibility.

If you’re a solo artist tracking vocals over beats, their budget-friendly Studio B room offers an accessible $45 hourly rate alongside remote mixing services via high-end Genelec monitors.

The major downside is that Studio B explicitly prohibits musical instruments and enforces a firm three-person capacity limit.

They also require a universal two-hour minimum across all rooms and remote services, which may alienate some independent artists seeking minor touch-ups.

Pros

  • Provides structured block discounts to save money on longer sessions
  • Features an accessible Studio B room specifically for vocal tracking
  • Specializes heavily in spoken word and audiobook engineering
  • Offers remote mixing services using high-end vintage consoles

Cons

We came in to record vocals over a track and we received a high quality vocal recording back. Erich, our engineer, was great to work with. He shared a couple of interesting production ideas, as well. Recommended! Thank you! 5-stars!

So glad I picked this studio for my project. David and Erich elevated my tracks in ways I would have never thought to. They were patient and really held my hand through the whole process. Highly recommend them to anyone wanting to record. Thanks guys!

Was able to record right away and didn’t take long to do it.

My best friend’s mom passed away recently and I couldn’t attend the funeral. Instead I decided to sing and send it over for them to play the song during the service. It was last minute and this recording studio saved me. Was able to record right away and didn’t take long to do it. The engineer was amazing and so talented. The song came out so good and the family was pleased and was very thankful  I would definitely use this studio again. Thank you so much!

Customer Reviews:

My first in a recording studio experience and a very positive experience.

Professional, comfortable and friendly. Nick was the sound engineer for adding drum tracks to a album in process. My drummer, producer and I appreciated his skill and personality. This was my first in a recording studio experience and a very positive experience.

Strongly recommend.

Instantly felt at ease as soon as I walked in the door, which makes it way easier to perform. Nick knew exactly what he was doing, knew how to work around some issues I was having, and was patient to the point where I didn’t feel any kinds of pressure. Strongly recommend.
