We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Vehicle Selection: We looked closely at the variety of vehicles each company offered. Having options from small cargo vans to specialized commercial rigs ensures that different needs are met.

Pricing and Value: We evaluated the base rates, available discounts, and hidden fees. Finding transparent pricing structures helps you avoid unexpected costs at the rental counter.

Customer Support: We assessed the availability of roadside assistance and extended maintenance networks. Reliable support is essential to keep you moving safely, especially on long-distance journeys.

Booking Flexibility: We considered how easy it is to reserve, change, or cancel a vehicle. Companies that offer guaranteed reservations or waived cancellation fees ranked higher for convenience.

Moving across town or securing logistics for a large project can quickly turn into a nightmare without the right vehicle.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Moving out of state is stressful enough without wondering if your vehicle will break down halfway across the country.

I used Penske for my last cross-country relocation, and their preventive maintenance system gave me total peace of mind. They also maintain a very young fleet, providing an extra layer of assurance.

I love that they provide a free driver app that keeps you connected and compliant with logging rules.

The only real hassle is that their smallest cargo vans are excluded from one-way rentals, so you’ll have to size up if you can’t return the vehicle to the same lot.

Even so, the reassurance of guaranteed reservations and no-fee cancellations makes them highly reliable.

Pros

  • Unlimited miles on one-way rentals
  • Advanced safety features on late-model vehicles
  • Comprehensive commercial inventory available
  • Massive North American service network

Cons

  • Cargo vans excluded from one-way rentals

Five-Star Service All The Way

The place was great, fast, with good service. Max asked me how my day was going and even gave me a courtesy call to see how everything was going with my move. When I returned the truck, my wife’s tire was low and the guys in the garage let me use their air hose to fill it up. Five-star service all the way!

A Breath Of Fresh Air

Deon was able to work with me on a last-minute moving truck rental – 16 foot truck with a loading ramp. He was swift and kind and I genuinely enjoyed the booking experience. This was a breath of fresh air in the midst of the chaos of moving. I’ll definitely be referring friends/family to this Penske location in the future.

I will update this review after the move has been completed.

Thank you, Deon + Penske!

2. Enterprise Truck Rental

When managing logistics for a growing business, finding a vehicle partner who understands commercial needs is half the battle.

Enterprise focuses heavily on personalized service and highly specialized commercial vehicles like refrigerated trucks. Their massive network of nearly 600 locations makes them incredibly accessible for local projects.

I appreciate the ability to effortlessly reserve up to five vehicles at once online, which is a huge time-saver for teams.

But a significant limitation I encountered is their strict age requirement, meaning younger drivers between 18 and 20 can’t rent here. You definitely need to plan around that if your crew has younger workers.

Pros

  • Serves a massive local Denver area
  • Diverse vehicle selection for various jobs
  • Specialized local billing and support
  • Convenient online multi-vehicle reservations

Cons

  • Strict 21-plus age requirement in Colorado

A Breeze

I recently rented a Ram 2500 from this location. The truck was clean, and worked well for our trip. The office staff was amazing! They were super friendly and made the check in/check out process a breeze. I will definitely be renting from them again!

Fantastic Staff

We were going to use a small trailer to move furniture to the mountains but another company shorted my electrical on my SUV. In a panic we found Enterprise late Friday afternoon needed a truck for Saturday morning. They had a truck for us and the truck was great and clean and the staff at pick up and drop off were fantastic. They will be the first company I’ll call for my next move.

3. Budget Truck Rental

Hours: Monday – Saturday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

I recently helped my younger cousin move into his first college apartment, and Budget Truck Rental was a lifesaver. They rent to 18-year-olds and offer solid discounts for students and military personnel.

As the second-largest truck rental company in the continental U.S., their one-way rental system is incredibly easy to navigate.

If you’re arranging car shipping in Denver for your personal vehicle and driving a rental instead, their comfortable cabs make the journey a lot smoother. Plus, they offer nationwide coverage for your peace of mind.

One real con to watch out for is their $150 no-show fee if you don’t cancel at least 48 hours in advance. It’s a steep penalty, so make sure your plans are locked in before booking.

Pros

  • Multiple convenient Denver metro locations
  • Generous discounts for students and the military
  • Accessible to younger drivers aged 18 and older
  • All-in-one moving supplies available on site

Cons

  • Steep $150 no-show cancellation fee

Very Professional

We returned a rented truck to this location.    Diego was our check in Customer Service Rep.   He was very professional, answered all of our questions, and even provided information about other misc. questions about Denver.    I would highly recommend this Budget Truck Rental Location and customer servic Rep. Diego in particular.

Friendly And Fast

This is the place to rent a truck. I never write reviews because I’m too lazy, but I’m really happy with this place and with Budget. I’d always used U-Haul for my previous moves, but this service costs half the price and is just as good. The service was very friendly and fast. The truck was clean, well-maintained, and full of gas. I didn’t know what to expect for the rental price, but I’m quite happy. Same quality or better than U-Haul for less money! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

4. Rush Truck Leasing

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Contractors dealing with heavy-duty construction tasks know that standard consumer vehicles simply won’t cut it on a demanding job site.

I rely on Rush Truck Leasing because they provide specialized vocational equipment like roll-off trucks and yard tractors. Their focus is entirely on commercial-grade vehicles equipped with heavy-duty suspensions for serious physical labor.

If you need standard fleet tech like ELDs and Geotab management tools built into your rental, they also deliver exceptional professional support.

But because their services are purely designed for business use, individual movers looking for a simple box truck for a home move will find themselves completely turned away.

Pros

  • Highly flexible commercial rental terms
  • 24/7 emergency roadside assistance coverage
  • Excellent variety of top truck brands
  • Central Denver metro presence

Cons

  • Strictly limited to commercial business use

5. Aim Transportation Solutions

Scaling a commercial operation often means you need to add specialized transport vehicles quickly without locking into long-term purchasing contracts.

Local businesses trust Aim Transportation Solutions because they build custom transportation programs tailored to specific industries.

For example, they cater to businesses facing seasonal spikes with their high-spec fleet, which offers the perfect blend of modern safety and operational flexibility.

They also have a nationwide road rescue service that operates around the clock, ensuring unexpected breakdowns never cause massive delays.

The main drawback is their strictly commercial focus, which completely rules them out for everyday people trying to relocate personal belongings.

Pros

  • Complete hub for leasing and maintenance
  • Highly diverse and specialized commercial fleet
  • Quickly scalable for sudden business surges
  • Federal transport compliant equipment

Cons

  • Exclusively focused on commercial accounts
