Prepared Well
I am so happy to have a dim sum place in The Denver Tech Center. The dim sum was delicious. Each dish was prepared well and very satisfying while the prices were on the higher side. The quality of the food made it worth it.

Stepping into the bustling LoHi neighborhood usually means you’re hunting for a trendy dinner spot.
Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings delivers a modern take on dim sum by focusing on fresh, made-to-order Northern Chinese-style dumplings using high-quality ingredients.
The presentation here is noteworthy! You can snap sharp photos that are highly appealing to foodies on your socials. The vibrant atmosphere makes it a fun destination for an evening out with friends.
Everything also arrives piping hot straight from the kitchen instead of circulating on carts. You’ll taste the distinct freshness in their flour-based dumplings and chewy noodles.
However, they feature a much smaller dim sum menu compared to traditional Cantonese houses. You won’t find the endless variety of a massive banquet hall here.
Nonetheless, this place remains a fantastic choice for a sleek, flavorful dining session.

Hot and Fresh
Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings was an amazing experience. I was here with a group of six and everything is served family style. The best way to experience the restaurant is to just order a little bit of everything. Our food came out hot and fresh. The service was great and brought everything out one at a time so that we could take time to enjoy our dumplings. The atmosphere is comfortable and well decorated.

Food Was Fantastic
You have got to try this place. I’ve had Nana’s Dim Sum recommended to me multiple times and finally made it in today, and kicking myself for not coming sooner. The food was fantastic. The kitchen had our food prepped and at the table in a steady flow. The staff seemed to really work together as a team. Our server Laurence was great and made our birthday celebration special.

3. Ma’s Kitchen Dim Sum Next Door

Finding a spot that caters to both hurried commuters and relaxed diners is rare on East Colfax.
Ma’s Kitchy Dum Sum Next Door has a dual-concept setup that offers a convenient fast-casual pickup option alongside a more upscale bar environment. The menu here bursts with fresh noodle dishes and savory dumplings.
This place is also highly accessible for urban diners craving a midweek treat. You can grab a quick box of hot buns or sit down for a leisurely meal with a craft cocktail.
If you’re also searching for the best wedding caterer in Denver, the event-friendly vibe of their upscale dining side might spark some inspiration.
A noticeable downside, however, is that the dual-concept expansion sometimes leads to shaky service. Staff can get overwhelmed by balancing fast-casual orders and upscale dining area simultaneously.

Delicious Flavors
Ma’s Kitchen Dim Sum & Noodles is a standout addition to Denver’s food scene. I went on a weekday evening and the line out the door was proof that this place is already a hit.
Highlights include the Xiao Long Bao, Garlic Spare Ribs, Spicy Wontons in Chili Oil, Beef Short Ribs in Black Pepper Sauce, BBQ Buns, and Beef Stir-Fried Noodles with Chili Pepper. Every dish I tried was flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying.
This spot is perfect for dim sum lovers or anyone looking for bold, delicious flavors. Highly recommend checking it out!

Great Option
The dim sum and soup dumplings were amazing, I have a new favorite dim sum place. The sampler is a great option and the fried rice was best I have ever had. The egg rolls were ok, but not my preferred style. The restaurant was smaller but they made great use of the space available and is better suited for smaller groups, 6 or less.

Harbor Dum Sum & Cuisine specializes in highly authentic Southern Chinese and Szechuan cuisine. They stand out for their massive menu of handcrafted dim sum available for delivery or pickup, fresh all day.
Locals also constantly praise this spot as a top-tier alternative to chaotic cart-service spots.
You can easily find comforting congees and traditional rice noodle rolls here. They even serve harder-to-find items like squid-ink scallop dumplings and ginger-scallion beef tripe.
My friends and I ordered the Szechuan eggplant last week, and the spicy chili oil left our lips happily tingling.
However, the restaurant operates strictly on an à la carte ordering system. You’ll miss out on traditional roaming carts that many enthusiasts prefer for a lively weekend brunch.

Highly Recommended
A CHALLENGER to Star Kitchen ! As long as we live in Denver, we always had dim sum at Star Kitchen as it’s always been the best in town. We tried this place for the first time from a friend recommendation and we were not disappointed. The place is well remodeled, great atmosphere, the food is as good or better than Star Kitchen. My wife was impressed not only with the taste but the quality and the presentation of the food. This would now be our go to location for dim sum as Star Kitchen is always busy. Highly recommended!

Lot of Different Options
This is the best dim sum and Chinese cuisine restaurant that I ever had in Denver! The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Highly recommended for friends and family. I’ll recommended everyone to try this place. They have assorted selections on dim sums and a lot of different options for the ways to cook the seafood and meats. Yumm!

5. Star Kitchen

Contact: (303) 936-0089
Hours: Monday – Friday: 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM, Saturday – Sunday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Massive family feasts demand a loud, energetic space with endless food options. Star Kitchen is a beloved dining hall that provides the classic dim sum experience. It’s actually known as the gold standard for Cantonese food in the city!
The experience is complete here, with roaming carts laden with freshly steamed baskets and plates. Diners love visually choosing their dishes straight from the trolley as it rolls by the table.
Furthermore, the sheer volume of choices is staggering, featuring over 50 distinct products from classic har gow to sweet sesame balls.
After finishing a meal here, you might even find yourself looking up the best Japanese restaurants in Denver to plan your next group outing.
Be prepared for a chaotic environment, though. Extremely high weekend volume consistently leads to long wait times and rushed service.

The Real Deal
A fantastic authentic Chinese Dim Sum experience! This place is the real deal. Bring a bunch of friends so you can try everything.
Sit down with your group and order freshly made dim sum from the revolving carts!
Sooo good. Great portions.
This was my first time, but the folks that brought me here had me prepared for a wait.

Good and Heartwarming
Very delicious Cantonese dishes and dim sum. In particular, the size of each dim sum seems bigger than most of the din sum restaurants I have been to. In addition, you get one complimentary big bowl of white rice if you order dishes. Rice used to be free in most of the Chinese restaurants in the U.S., but not so nowadays. I am glad this restaurant still keeps this “tradition”. Last, you can get a free sweet soup after dining, which is quite good and heartwarming.
